Chapter 58

"……"

The atmosphere was awkward for a moment.

Maria Hill just wanted to get up, but the ground rolled again, actually lifting her to Su Quan's front like a sea wave.

Looking up, Su Quan struck with his palm.

"Boom—" Maria Hill felt herself floating up.

No, it wasn't a feeling; she really floated up, and she even saw 'herself' lying at Su Quan's feet.

"I—I died? Do people really have souls after they die?"

Maria Hill, in addition to being surprised, her first reaction was: Didn't you say you'd spare my life if I knelt?

Although it was passive, I did kneel, so why are you going back on your word?

Maria Hill wasn't afraid of death, but dying so "miserably," she was unwilling!

"I shouldn't have done anything worthy of S. H. I. E. L. D.'s investigation, why investigate me?"

Su Quan raised his hand, and the ground quickly rose to form a stone chair; he sat down slowly and looked at Maria Hill, who was floating in soul form.

"Jessica Jones!"

The reason Maria Hill knew Su Quan and investigated Su Quan was because of Jessica Jones.

"S. H. I. E. L. D. Threat Assessment Report?"

"You know about this too?"

The S. H. I. E. L. D. Threat Assessment Report is S. H. I. E. L. D.'s list of assessments for individuals with special abilities and dangerous items.

Whenever a super-powered individual appears, S. H. I. E. L. D. will send a team to investigate and submit an asset assessment and storage report.

This is followed by a comprehensive threat assessment and psychological assessment.

S. H. I. E. L. D. will prioritize recruiting super-powered individuals into S. H. I. E. L. D. or the "Avengers" initiative.

For those who fail to enter S. H. I. E. L. D., S. H. I. E. L. D. will conduct long-term surveillance.

And for those with high indices and psychological problems, S. H. I. E. L. D. will eliminate the threat.

"In our investigation of Jessica Jones, we found that her emotional and psychological state is very unstable; if she continues to keep in touch with Trish Walker, the presence of family will make her social relationships and emotional and psychological state more stable."

"However, you appeared."

"You took her in and gave her a job, so we investigated you and found—you are very suspicious!"

"All your money was obtained by selling gold and silver jewelry and ornaments without formal procedures and sources; we recovered a portion for investigation and found an incredible situation."

"There was a wedding ring; we found its owner, but the owner of the wedding ring was wearing another identical wedding ring."

"The owner of the wedding ring had never lost the ring, nor had they customized an identical ring!"

Maria Hill might have felt that since she was dead, she wouldn't be able to rest in peace if she didn't figure out Su Quan's identity, so the posture of the S. H. I. E. L. D. Commander gradually returned.

"Of course, this is not important; what's important is that we conducted an in-depth investigation into you and found that we didn't find any traces of your past life, not a single trace related to you."

"It's as if you appeared out of thin air and had never lived in this world before."

"Can you tell me, who exactly are you?"

Su Quan said calmly: "I am someone you cannot afford to provoke."

Maria Hill was unwilling and continued to appeal to emotions and reason.

"S. H. I. E. L. D.'s duty is to protect the people from harm by special events and super-powered individuals; I don't want to provoke you, I just want to know your identity, your purpose in taking in Jessica Jones, and confirm that you won't cause harm."

"You should know better than anyone how much harm super-powered individuals like you can cause to ordinary people!"

"I hope you can understand that this is not a personal grudge, this is my duty."

"No, from the moment you fired the gun, this is a personal grudge!"

"Also, don't reason with me when I'm losing my temper; I'm deaf!"
