"..."
After avenging Uncle Ben, Peter Parker had lived in constant remorse. He hated himself for standing by and watching, hated himself for not acting heroically sooner.
In his regret, he recalled a sentence Uncle Ben had told him: "With great power, there must also come great responsibility."
He took these words to heart and decided to dedicate himself to the fight against crime.
From then on, in every corner of the city, whenever a crime occurred, Spider-Man would descend from the sky to assist the police in bringing criminals to justice.
Because of this, Su Quan was able to receive drop rewards from watching the battles from time to time.
In just a few short days, without ever meeting or fighting Spider-Man, he had basically collected all of his abilities.
"He's not human; my brother saw him spitting spider webs at Lincoln Center."
"I think he is human, a man—or maybe a woman."
"He just flicks his hand and shoots silk, then he crawls on it."
"I know Spider-Man has appeared the moment I see his spider-web logo."
"He will protect us, protect the citizens."
"He's either a lunatic or a freak."
"He stinks, and I don't like him!"
On television programs, in newspapers, interviews and reports about Spider-Man were everywhere.
Some liked him, believing he was a hero who helped citizens and fought crime.
Others hated him, feeling that he was just a clown wearing a mask and a tight suit, seeking attention.
In short, Spider-Man was a hit.
"Honey, I'm home."
Betty Brant, returning from work, wrapped her arms around Su Quan's neck from behind. She glanced at the newspaper in his hand and complained, "Spider-Man again. I'm about to be driven crazy by him."
"What's wrong?"
"My boss wants exclusive photos of Spider-Man, but the newspaper's reporters can't get any, so he's been cursing everyone out."
Betty Brant sighed and said expectantly, "I really hope someone gets a photo of him soon. My ears are almost calloused from listening to the boss's profanity."
Su Quan raised an eyebrow and asked with a smile, "If you could get photos of Spider-Man, would your boss pay for them?"
"Spider-Man? He's always swinging around and appearing out of nowhere; he's not that easy to photograph. But, if I could get some good shots, he should pay," Betty Brant said.
Su Quan smiled: "Want to earn that money?"
Betty Brant paused, puzzled: "Of course I do, but... can you help me get photos of him?"
"Mm."
"No way? You... you know him? You know who he is?"
Complaining aside, Betty Brant was just as curious about the identity behind Spider-Man's mask.
"Go get your camera. I'll take you to photograph Spider-Man."
"Okay."
Without another word, Betty Brant excitedly went to find her camera.
Twenty minutes later, the two stopped their car in front of an apartment building near the railway line.
"Spider-Man lives here?"
Betty Brant looked outside, finding it hard to believe that the Spider-Man who swung across the city lived in such a dirty, dilapidated place.
"Most superheroes are poorer than ordinary people because they have neither the time nor the energy to manage their own 'normal' lives."
"Wait for me in the car. I'll have a word with him, then we'll find a different place to shoot."
After saying this, Su Quan got out of the car and walked into the adjacent apartment building.
As an aside, Peter Parker had already graduated and moved out of Aunt May's house. He now lived in a rented room in an apartment, sharing even the bathroom with the landlord's family.
Stepping up the old, creaky stairs to the second floor, Su Quan moved his mind, unlocked the door directly, and pushed it open to walk in.
Peter Parker in the room stood up instantly, frowning and looking vigilantly at the stranger who had entered without permission.
"Who are you? This is my room, how... how did you get in?"
"Bang!"
The answer to him was the door closing on its own.
Peter Parker felt a jolt of alarm, feeling vaguely uneasy, sensing that the visitor was not well-intentioned.
"Peter Parker, gained extraordinary abilities after being bitten by a mutated spider."
"Because of his uncle's death, he realized that with great power comes great responsibility, and he began fighting crime as Spider-Man, becoming a rising superhero..."
"Am I right?"
Oh no, I'm done for.
Peter Parker hadn't expected the other party to know he was Spider-Man, and to be so knowledgeable about his affairs, even his inner journey.
"How do you know all this?" Peter Parker asked, somewhat flustered.
"I wanted to know, so I knew," Su Quan replied indifferently. He raised his hand and crooked his finger: "Don't say I didn't give you a chance. Beat me, and I'll turn around and leave. I absolutely won't reveal your identity."
"What... what if I don't win?" Peter Parker asked.
"If you don't win, you'll be on call from now on," Su Quan said with a smile: "Don't worry, I'm just asking you to take a few photos of Spider-Man for my girlfriend. I won't reveal your identity."
Peter Parker began to catch on. So you suddenly broke into my house and exposed my identity just so your girlfriend could take photos of Spider-Man?
"Uh, can I ask what the photos are for?"
"My girlfriend works at the Daily Bugle. Your photos are quite valuable."
Understood.
This is about using my photos to make money!
Peter Parker's eyes were opened; he never imagined there was such a way to make money.
If taking a few photos of Spider-Man can make money, then what if I take photos of myself and sell them?
Peter Parker asked awkwardly: "Um... sir, can I know how much a photo sells for? Uh, after all, they are my photos. I mean, can I take them myself and sell them to the Daily Bugle?"
"You've seen it, I'm very short on money, and my dream is to become a photographer. My photography skills are very good. Do you want to see the work I've taken before?"
Peter Parker, fearing Su Quan wouldn't believe him, turned to get his camera to prove he wasn't lying.
"..."
Su Quan rolled his eyes in silence and directly waved his hand through the air, grabbing him.
"Whoa!"
Peter Parker felt as if an invisible giant hand had grabbed him. He let out a panicked, strange cry. His feet left the ground, and his body floated, fixed in front of Su Quan.
"Beat me, and you can sell the photos however you want! Otherwise, only my girlfriend can sell your photos. Understand?"
