Chapter 626

The news broadcast on the TV caught Su Quan's attention. After watching for a few moments, he roughly knew what it was about.

The so-called freedom fighters are the members of the Ten Rings gang who kidnapped Tony Stark. The weapons they use were designed by Tony Stark and come from Stark Industries.

Unsurprisingly, they will soon be wiped out by Tony Stark wearing the Iron Man armor, and he will also contribute the iconic scene of Iron Man never looking back at explosions.

Iron Man's heroic journey begins at this very moment!

"Morning."

Pepper Potts came to Su Quan with coffee: "Your coffee!"

"Thank you."

Su Quan took it and said with a smile: "You don't have to do these things."

"It's just a small favor. I should thank them for not kicking me out. You know, I've helped the boss clean up trash quite a bit," Pepper Potts said with a smile.

What could Su Quan say?

Essentially, he is no different from Tony. Men, after all, how many don't like the new?

The biggest difference between the two is that Tony Stark likes the new and loathes the old, while Su Quan likes the new and does not loathe the old!

Su Quan drank his coffee and pointed at the TV with his chin: "Your boss is in trouble. Do you want to quit and come help me?"

"He has already been fired by the board of directors; Obadiah signed the papers."

Pepper Potts sighed and said: "He is like a child who never grows up. His thinking is too immature. All these years, it has been me taking care of him and helping him clean up his messes."

Su Quan drank his coffee with a normal expression. Last night, he had personally verified that Pepper Potts and Tony Stark were in a purely employer-employee relationship.

"A child? If I remember correctly, he should be thirty-nine this year, right? Almost forty. A forty-year-old baby?"

Pepper Potts said coquettishly: "I think you are implying something else. Are you disliking that I am much older than you?"

Pepper Potts' age is naturally not considered old, and she and Tony Stark are not the same age...

It's just that from her appearance, she indeed doesn't look as young as Su Quan.

Asians naturally look younger, and Su Quan possessed long vitality and the ability of immortality not long after he transmigrated, so his appearance has almost not changed.

If calculated by time, if one really had to talk about actual age, her calling Su Quan 'father' would be a generation off, and calling him 'grandfather' would be about right!

"Whether I dislike it or not, you should be very clear about that from last night," Su Quan teased.

Pepper Potts' face turned slightly red, and she returned to the original topic.

"No matter what, Tony Stark treats me well. He was just fired by the board, and if I quit now, what would others think of me?"

"All these years, I have strictly kept to the duties and boundaries of an assistant, just so that people wouldn't think I am that kind of woman with ulterior motives."

"Even if I quit, I have to help him find a new personal assistant first."

After a pause, Pepper Potts gave Su Quan a brilliant smile: "You also need time to calmly consider it."

Su Quan asked with a smile: "Consider what?"

Pepper Potts smiled beautifully: "Distance creates beauty. Me working for you might not necessarily be a good thing."

Su Quan laughed: "You are quite mature and calm. My invitation to you was not perfunctory, nor was it a benefit to dismiss you."

"Although it might sound a bit scummy to say this, honestly, I value your ability more!"

You mean my work ability is more attractive to you than my looks?

You flirt with me and invite me, not because of my looks, temperament, or inner attraction, but because of my work ability?

If it were someone else, they might really get angry.

But Pepper Potts is the exact opposite.

Having been an assistant to Tony Stark for so many years, she has seen many young and beautiful women and knows very well what kind of recognition she wants.

It's not looks, not how beautiful she is.

It's ability!

Beautiful skins are a dime a dozen, but outstanding ability is one in ten thousand!

So what if you look good? You might be replaced by someone better-looking at any time.

But ability won't!

Su Quan's recognition of her ability over her external appearance made her happier than being complimented on her beauty. ===== CHAPTER 628 =====
