Chapter 648

~6 min read 1,109 words

"Rhino mode."

"Aleksei Sytsevich."

Energy enveloped Cindy Moon, turning her into a tall, robust, one-horned rhino-person.

"Boom—boom—boom—"

Cindy Moon in Rhino mode charged savagely toward Silk and Spider-Girl.

Silk and Spider-Girl looked at each other, shot spider-silk from left and right to stick to Cindy Moon's arms, and then used the momentum to swing and kick her hard.

The strength of two spiders, or 'Two-Spider Power,' directly forced Cindy Moon, transformed into a rhino-person, to her knees.

"Crack—"

A shattering sound rang out; a fissure suddenly appeared in the energy body wrapping Cindy Moon, followed by it breaking into pieces and vanishing like flowing light.

Silk and Spider-Girl each stepped on Cindy Moon, who lay on the ground with a slightly pale complexion.

"You lost!" Silk said deeply, looking down at her.

Before this, Cindy Moon had been arrogantly suppressing all three of them, even boasting for Su Quan to see who the winner was.

As it turned out, the reversal came too quickly; she had just finished posturing and was immediately slapped in the face.

Cindy Moon made two mistakes:

One: She chose the wrong mode.

The previous modes all had their own characteristics, avoiding weaknesses and playing to strengths.

What are the strengths of Rhino mode?

Infinite strength, thick skin?

Yes, and no.

The real Rhino underwent high-risk chemical radiation experiments, attaching a layer of tough polymer to his skin; his polymer skin can withstand extreme heat and cold, making him invulnerable to blades and bullets.

His strength is immense, and his strongest attack is the headbutt, sufficient to collapse a building instantly.

With such defense and such strength, at first glance, shouldn't he be able to defeat two spiders in one hit?

But...

Rhino is Rhino, and Rhino mode is Rhino mode; the essence of Rhino mode is relying on energy to mimic the form and abilities of the Rhino, so there will naturally be discrepancies in strength!

Second, Cindy Moon was too confident.

Overconfidence is arrogance.

She had already defeated one in a one-on-three; wouldn't a one-on-two be even easier?

Besides, with Su Quan on the sidelines, Cindy Moon had some desire to prove herself, so she didn't switch modes immediately.

This led to her defeat!

Of course, defeat didn't mean Cindy Moon had lost her combat capability; one could tell from her calm expression that she still had the strength for another fight.

"Don't, don't kill her!"

Spider-Gwen's voice suddenly rang out. She staggered over, saying with a complex tone: "Let me settle things with her."

Silk and Spider-Girl hesitated; although Cindy Moon had been defeated, she wasn't seriously injured, and she still had the gauntlet that could switch modes.

In Gwen's current state, a one-on-one duel didn't look promising...

However, this was Gwen's world, and it was a grudge between Gwen and Cindy Moon; since Gwen had spoken, they couldn't interfere further.

"You, be careful."

"Good luck."

Silk and Spider-Girl released Cindy Moon, said a word to Spider-Gwen, and retreated to Su Quan's side.

Cindy Moon stood up, looked at the solemn and serious Spider-Gwen, and sneered with a slight upturn of her lips: "You know, my only goal is to eliminate you and reclaim the abilities I created."

"You shouldn't have let them withdraw; you will pay the price for your naivety!"

Spider-Gwen said blankly: "I no longer want to know why you chose me; I just want to defeat you now, to settle the grudge between us, and to make you pay the price for your arrogance!"

"Naivety or arrogance, who is the winner?"

"Gwen, Gwen, Gwen, this is not a fair duel." Cindy Moon raised her lips and slowly lifted her left hand.

"Snap!"

The abrupt sound of a snap caused the imminent duel to pause slightly. Cindy Moon looked at her left hand, which had vanished into thin air, and immediately turned to look at Su Quan.

The gauntlet was clearly on Su Quan's hand.

"When—" Cindy Moon was shocked and frowned, shouting: "What do you mean? Are you going to interfere in the fight between me and Gwen?"

Su Quan put on the gauntlet and toyed with it, saying with a light laugh: "Cindy, Cindy, Cindy, this is not a fair decision."

Cindy Moon's face turned black instantly.

Stealing my gauntlet is one thing, but using my own words to retort to me? You've gone too far!

"Are you afraid?"

"I've been looking forward to beating you up, bitch!"

Spider-Gwen took over the conversation; she wasn't so naive as to pursue a fair fight, she just wanted to settle the grudge one-on-one.

Su Quan said Cindy Moon was dead, and Spider-Gwen didn't take those words as wind, nor did she think Su Quan was just making empty threats.

If Cindy Moon died at the hands of Su Quan, Silk, or Spider-Girl, her heart's knot would never be untied, and she would never truly find peace!

Cindy Moon looked at Spider-Gwen, hugged her shoulders, and sneered: "I have been trained by the world's best masters, I possess the same abilities as you, and you are just a puppet, a tool, a child used to test my abilities!"

"Shut up!"

Spider-Gwen threw a punch in anger. Cindy Moon didn't dodge or block, not even letting go of her arms, intentionally taking the punch.

Cindy Moon tilted her face up, a mocking smile returning to her lips: "Oh—poor little thing, you don't even know how to throw a punch correctly!"

Vicious, too vicious!

Just as Spider-Gwen was stunned, Cindy Moon's expression changed, and she punched her in the face with a terrifying, ferocious strike.

Immediately after, she held her head and drove her knee up hard.

"Pfft—" Saliva and blood flew together.

That wasn't all; Cindy Moon raised her leg high, kicking Spider-Gwen into the air, then instantly appeared behind her, using her hands as hammers to smash hard into her waist.

"Bang!"

Spider-Gwen fell hard to the ground.

Cindy Moon didn't continue the attack, but watched as the blood-covered Spider-Gwen wobbled and staggered to her feet, then sneered and threw heavy punches.

"Bang, bang, bang, bang!"

"Bang, bang, bang, bang!"

Left and right, a storm of punches landed on Spider-Gwen's face; she was like a small boat in a storm, swaying uncontrollably with the wave-like punches.

"Bang!"

Finally, Spider-Gwen fell backward to the ground.

"Ha—" Spider-Gwen, now sporting panda eyes, let out a laugh.

Cindy Moon held her fist high, frowning: "How can you still laugh?"

"I won—"

"What? You won? Have you been beaten stupid?"

Cindy Moon laughed in absurd anger, but Spider-Gwen suddenly straightened her waist, supported her body with one hand, and kicked hard at her head.
