Chapter 95
Runaways tells the story of a group of teenagers who are anti-second-generation runaways, fighting against their evil parents.
The big villain of the story is Karolina's biological father, the Gibborim Jonah.
Aliens, of course, have technology that is very special to Earth.
Besides the spaceship buried underground, there are two other technologies Su Quan is very interested in, or rather, very much wants.
One is called the Shrine.
It can transfer life energy; simply put, it is to sacrifice one person's life to resurrect another.
However, there is a prerequisite.
The resurrected person can be on the verge of death, or medically determined dead in the conventional sense, but cannot be truly and completely dead.
To put it bluntly, just stopped breathing, heart just stopped, this is all okay.
But if they have been dead for days, months, or even years, don't even think about it.
The resurrection method of the Shrine is somewhat similar to the resurrection method of the Hand, except one is a technological route and the other is a mysterious route.
Su Quan doesn't know the name of the other one either.
But this technology can keep people on the verge of death in a state of being on the verge of death.
At the same time, consciousness will enter a consciousness space constructed according to memory.
People from the outside world can enter the other party's consciousness space through some technology to communicate with them.
He definitely can't use these two things, but others can!
Su Quan pondered while watching Karolina rummaging around for things.
Her parents weren't at home; he didn't know if they were already dead, had turned into zombies, or were hiding.
Before long, Karolina, who had packed a lot of toiletries and family photos, came back with a backpack on her back.
"Let's go."
Su Quan shrugged indifferently: "Where to next?"
"Let's go to Nico's house; her house has Wyze. If Nico has been hiding at home, maybe she's still alive."
Su Quan was a bit curious: "What is Wyze?"
"Nico's mother has a technology company called Wizard; Wyze is a home artificial intelligence developed by Wizard Company."
Karolina explained while pushing the door and walking out.
Nico's mother is Tina Minoru, the Asian female mage beside the Ancient One.
Su Quan's impression of her, besides being Nico's mother.
Is that in [Doctor Strange], she held the Staff of One and resisted Kaecilius and his followers with Wong at the Hong Kong Sanctum.
Never expected, never expected, she left K'un-Lun and didn't become a mage but played with technology, and even created artificial intelligence.
Home artificial intelligence is also artificial intelligence.
One of the characteristics of the rich area is that there are few people; let alone swarms of zombies on the street, even the shadows of zombies were not seen.
Ten minutes later, they arrived in the courtyard of Nico's house.
"See, I said it's very safe here."
Looking at the three-story villa with all doors and windows blocked by metal plates, Karolina felt a faint expectation.
Nico might be inside!
"Swish!"
Su Quan opened a portal straight into the villa.
What came into view was an extremely luxurious hall, and the complex lighting fixtures emitted a cold light.
"Nico, are you home? It's Karolina!"
Karolina shouted while passing through the portal with Su Quan.
"Swish."
The portal closed.
The empty villa was cold and desolate, with no response whatsoever.
Carolina’s expression was somewhat disappointed: "Wise, is Nicole home?"
A somewhat hollow female voice rang out: "Yes, Miss Nicole is in her room."
Carolina let out a sigh of relief, shouted "That's great!" with excitement, and then ran up the stairs while calling Nicole's name.
The second floor, the room at the end of the hallway.
Carolina was completely dumbfounded as she looked at the room door encased in ice; she tried to push the door with her hand, but was instantly forced to pull it back due to the freezing cold.
"Nicole, Nicole, are you in there? It's me, Carolina."
"Su Quan, come over here quickly, there's trouble."
Carolina, at a loss, shouted while trying hard to listen for any sound inside the room.
No sound, there was absolutely no sound!
This made her even more anxious.
"Boom!"
Su Quan, having arrived at the doorway, gave a casual shake, and the room door, along with the thick ice, was shattered instantly.
"Hiss—"
In an instant, the bone-chilling cold wind made Carolina shiver.
Following that, she rushed into the room, stunned.
The room had already turned into a world of ice and snow, with white snowflakes drifting slowly and eerily from the ceiling.
In the corner, a 'snowman' wrapped in a quilt squatted motionless, and beside it lay a ring-shaped short staff nearly buried by the snow...
"Nicole!"
Carolina hurried over to check the situation.
Fortunately, she was still breathing.
Carolina looked at Su Quan for help; Su Quan waved his hand, and the unconscious Nicole slowly levitated and drifted out of the room.
"Go to the bathroom."
Carolina shouted and ran into the bathroom first to turn on the shower.
The sound of splashing water rang out, and the hot water quickly filled the bathroom with steam, the heat rushing toward them.
Su Quan did not put Nicole into the bathtub; since she was frozen to this extent, soaking her directly in hot water would certainly not work.
The temperature in the bathroom gradually rose, and a few minutes later, Nicole seemed to regain consciousness and struggled to open her eyes.
"Carolina?"
"Nicole, you're awake. Don't worry, you'll be fine."
"Mm."
Nicole responded in a low voice and closed her eyes again.
"She won't be able to recover in a short time in this state. It's safe here, so you stay here and keep her company; I'm going out for a stroll," Su Quan said to Carolina.
Carolina nodded: "I have a few other friends. If you find them alive, please help them."
Su Quan knew she was talking about the other members of the Runaways. If he encountered them, he would help them along the way; after all, they were still labor, regardless.
Come to think of it, among these six members of the Runaways, Carolina and Nicole were the prettiest and the strongest.
The remaining one was a Black teenager who had no superpowers but fancied himself smart and possessing leadership skills.
Another relied on tech gauntlets, though the power and technical content of those gauntlets weren't even as good as palm repulsors.
As for the other two girls, one possessed super strength—lifting cars and pulling off doors was a breeze for her, and her eyes would glow with golden light when she used her ability.
The other was even more bizarre; she had no superpowers herself but could control an artificial genetic dinosaur named Old Lace.
Although creating a dinosaur through genetics was indeed remarkable, this was the Marvel world; wasn't the ability to control a dinosaur a bit lackluster?
But in the main world, they haven't been born yet, and their parents, especially their mothers, are still young.
*Cough cough*, you all understand.

PS: The reason for writing about the Runaways in the zombie universe is mainly because the children of the Runaways have already grown up in the zombie world.
