Chapter 984

Jace Turner had considered this question for a long time and already had an answer.

It's just that the bureau has been very busy lately, and they are short of hands everywhere. The decision to betray his stance was very difficult, so he hadn't taken the initiative to contact Su Quan. It could be considered burying his head in the sand, deceiving himself...

Now that things have come to a head, there's nothing to hesitate about.

Jace Turner took a deep breath and said firmly: "As long as you haven't lied to me, my life will be yours from now on."

Su Quan patted him on the shoulder and said indifferently: "You are just a captain of an action team. What you can do, others can do too. I chose you only because I appreciate you, not because you are indispensable. Don't overestimate yourself too much."

Jace Turner nodded: "I understand."

"Have you thought it through? Do you want to become a mutant, or find a mutant to help?" Su Quan was very curious about his choice.

Jace Turner already had a decision and said directly without too much hesitation: "I choose to become a mutant, but... I have one condition."

This choice didn't disappoint Su Quan. He said with a smile: "I'm in a good mood right now, so I'll give you a chance. Go ahead, what condition?"

Jace Turner looked into Su Quan's eyes and said word by word: "If the experiment fails and I die, I beg you, resurrect my daughter."

"Grace, right?"

Hearing Su Quan say his daughter's name, Jace Turner felt much more at ease.

"Yes, her name is Grace, and she is my everything." Jace Turner nodded heavily.

Su Quan teased: "Aren't you afraid Paula will make you kneel on a keyboard for saying that?"

Jace Turner's eyes widened in astonishment. He didn't expect Su Quan to joke with him, and even less did he expect Su Quan to know his wife's name.

He forced a smile awkwardly and then asked: "When will you arrange for me to undergo the transformation experiment?"

"Whenever you want."

Jace Turner thought for a moment: "Is a week from now okay? The bureau has been very busy lately, and I... I still want to take a few days to spend time with Paula."

In his view, the success rate and safety of this kind of experiment that transforms humans into mutants definitely weren't as high as Su Quan said.

For his daughter's sake, he was willing to take the risk, even if... he might die!
