Her solar-calendar birthday is January 31st; I was planning to celebrate it with her on the 31st.

But this year the old lady decided to celebrate her lunar-calendar birthday instead… mm, not my fault.

(Good thing I prepared her birthday gift ahead of time, otherwise it would've been awkward.)

I was busy with other things during the day and didn't write; I'd planned to just write all afternoon and skip meals.

Now that I've finished eating I don't know what time it is — I probably won't make it in time to finish writing the rest… boohoo!

As stated above, today I can only go keep her company for dinner and the birthday celebration; the year-end ten-thousand-characters-a-day challenge is forced to pause for one day.
