Chapter 94: Nan Qinghuan, Come With Me
When the black chimpanzee led them through the dense forest to a riverside, many human corpses lay there, already rotting and swollen, while some crocodiles gathered at the bank gnawing the bodies.
The people had become bloated and unrecognizable, but these corpses were enough proof that the black chimpanzee was not lying; it had not eaten the tribe members.
"You saw it; the black chimpanzee is innocent."
Rongdi, seeing the scene, fully understood, "So that's it, Ying, you wrongly blamed Nan Qinghuan."
After speaking, Rongdi walked over to stand beside Nan Qinghuan. He was tall, making Nan Qinghuan look like a little dwarf beside him; his gaze at her grew complicated. "Nan Qinghuan, you have found the cause of the tribe's deaths; I am grateful. Are you interested in coming with me?"
At those words, Ying clenched his fist, "Rongdi, what are you saying?"
Rongdi actually wants to take Huaner away—impossible!
Rongdi was undeterred; to win Nan Qinghuan, he once again opposed Ying, "Ying, look at what your tribe can give Nan Qinghuan. My Rongdi Tribe has everything except salt. Nan Qinghuan, I guarantee that staying with me will be better than staying here. I will give you everything you want. How about it?"
Rongdi even demanded Huaner in front of Ying. Seeing Ying's face turn ashen, Nan Qinghuan had to admit that these savages really say whatever comes to mind.
"Rongdi, you're courting death."
Ying suddenly threw a punch at Rongdi, and Rongdi immediately clashed with him; Nan Qinghuan was stunned—why were they fighting again?
"Separate them for me, stop fighting."
Since when are they still fighting? The black chimpanzee now obeyed Nan Qinghuan the most, rushed forward and quickly separated the two. Rongdi, bruised and bloodied, refused to give up; he wiped the blood from his mouth and sneered, "What will you give her to make a good life?"
"I will make Huaner happy."
"Happy? How can she be happy, suffering with you?"
"Shut up."
"Rongdi, that's enough."
Nan Qinghuan let out a loud shout, then stepped toward Rongdi. She glanced at him, seeing his face covered in fresh blood, and said, "I will not go with you. Forget that intention. In this life I will only follow Ying; wherever he goes, I will go."
Hearing this, Rongdi remained unrelenting, "The Ying Tribe doesn't have as many resources as my Mountain Tribe; what's good about following him?"
He didn't understand; don't all females want a better life? He has a treehouse, which is far better than the caves Ying lives in.
Nan Qinghuan smiled, "Choosing a man and his conditions doesn't matter; if he's poor I can help him change. You may leave, take your tribe and depart; my cannibal tribe does not welcome you."
Even after those words, Rongdi was still unwilling. Ying, hearing this, felt delighted; the jealousy he had felt vanished instantly. He walked to Rongdi's side, stared coldly, and said, "If you dare plot against Nan Qinghuan again, I'll take your life."
Rongdi knew Ying was serious and had the ability; he glanced at Nan Qinghuan, twitched his mouth, then turned away alone, forlorn.
After Rongdi left, Nan Qinghuan was about to speak when Ying suddenly embraced her tightly, as if she were a reclaimed treasure, "Huaner…"
He lightly kissed her lips, showing his happiness. The black chimpanzee behind them stopped its actions; seeing its master embrace the male, it grew jealous and kept howling beside them.
"Woo…"
Nan Qinghuan felt faint from the kiss; Ying then gently released her. The woman beside him was sobbing, and Nan Qinghuan finally noticed another woman following them.
She turned to the completely naked woman, thought her lack of clothing unsightly, tore off her own skirt and loosely wrapped it around the woman, "You should go too; we're heading back to the tribe."
She then examined the woman closely; she looked about thirteen or fourteen, very young, truly pitiful, having been used as a ritual sacrifice by her tribe.
"Go back, and be careful from now on."
After saying that, Nan Qinghuan was about to leave with Ying, but the woman suddenly knelt, "Don't abandon me; I have nowhere to go."
Hearing this, Nan Qinghuan was at a loss, "Which tribe are you from?"
The woman babbled on, and Ying's gaze grew increasingly hostile, "Bad news, she's from the Wolf Tribe."
"Wolf Tribe?"
She had never heard of it.
Ying glanced at the woman, then calmly said, "The Ying Tribe has never had contact with the Wolf Tribe; you cannot come with us, Huaner. Let's go."
Ying reached out to grab Nan Qinghuan's hand to lead her away, but the woman kept bowing repeatedly; not only her, the black chimpanzee also wanted to follow them, which instantly irritated Ying, "You beast, go back, you're not allowed to follow us."
The black chimpanzee snarled at Ying, then looked pleadingly at Nan Qinghuan; its expression was comically ridiculous. Nan Qinghuan thought for a moment, "It will probably have to come with us."
"Follow you?"
Ying didn't want another super‑strong monster by Nan Qinghuan's side; if she tried to run later, that creature could be a huge help, which was unacceptable.
"Exactly. I've made a deal with it; it will follow me back to help build the tribe. I named it Jingang, and from now on Jingang belongs to the Ying Tribe."
"No, absolutely not. The Ying Tribe can't accommodate such a creature; leave."
Ying was angry but didn't want to push Nan Qinghuan. He tried to pull her away, but she suddenly shook off his hand, "Ying, I won't leave. I must take it back; it's the most human‑like ape, and will be useful for building houses. You have Xiao Guai and Mos; why can't I have a pet?"
She didn't understand why Ying was blocking her from keeping Jingang. Ying looked at her stubborn gaze and gently coaxed, "Huaner, it's too big and will frighten the tribe, and we can't afford to raise it."
"I'll raise it."
"No, come with me."
Ying suddenly lost patience and forced Nan Qinghuan to go; the black chimpanzee let out a hoarse growl, ready to rage, but Nan Qinghuan shouted, "Let go!"
"Wuu…"
Jingang thought Ying was bullying its master and suddenly lunged at him.
"Stop."
Ying and Jingang were about to fight again, and Nan Qinghuan hurriedly intervened. With a man on one side and a pet on the other, she was at a loss, "Ying, I've said all I need to say today. If you won't let me take it, I won't leave either; I'll stay here with Jingang."
Ying's gaze was hurt; he never expected Nan Qinghuan to abandon him for a wild beast, "Nan Qinghuan."
"Leader, Clan Leader…"
From not far away, the voices of Ashu and Dashan and their group suddenly came. Ying saw his own people arrive; seeing Nan Qinghuan's stubbornness, he took several deep breaths and then roared toward the sky. That roar expressed all his anger and resentment. If he were facing others it might be tolerable, but facing Nan Qinghuan, he had no way to deal with her.
Ying glared at him deeply, then dropped his Spear and walked forward, refusing to pay her any attention.
Nan Qinghuan knew he was angry; this man was always like that, unable to tolerate any other man by her side, but she hadn't expected him to be so petty, even refusing a pet.
Fortunately, after Ying left, she realized he had already compromised and tacitly consented.
She instantly exhaled, then looked at Jingang, reached out and stroked its leg hair, "Jingang, we're going home."
"Wuu…"
Jingang, following behind her, suddenly became soft and cute; aside from its large size it had no flaws. The woman, seeing Nan Qinghuan and them about to leave, immediately chased after them.
She knows that to stay by Ying's side, she must follow this female.
"Take me away, please."
The woman knelt again toward Nan Qinghuan, who stopped, turned her head to glance at the woman; the ape hoarsely snarled, realizing the woman had ill intent and wanted to scare her, and Nan Qinghuan, not understanding, hurriedly scolded, "You must not bully others."
She walked to the woman's side, seeing she was truly pitiful, and asked, "What is your name?"
The woman hurriedly replied, "My name is Acai."
"Acai, the name is not bad. You heard that Ying dislikes the wolf clan, but even though I saved you I cannot abandon you halfway; you should first come with me back to the Cannibal Tribe."
"Thank you, thank you."
Acai kept thanking, then followed Nan Qinghuan and the others out of the jungle. After they emerged, the members of the Cannibal Tribe saw that their Nushouling had actually tamed a wild monster; everyone admired her skill even more, only Ying's face was sour. He swore that when they returned, he would give Nan Qinghuan a good lesson.
"Leader, you're back; Abu can't make it."
"Can't make it?"
