Chapter 112: Anime Crossover: Pokémon - Starting from Hunter x Hunter, Chapter 47

If no creatures attack, 【Hidden】 counts as qualified.

Seizing this opportunity, Luo Ge also intended to see if there were any creatures deep within worth capturing.

Step by step, he ventured deeper until Luo Ge reached a large grassy clearing in the forest, bathed in countless rays of sunlight.

It stood in stark contrast to other gloomy, lightless places.

In the center of the clearing stood a black rock about ten-plus meters tall, standing straight up and casting a large area of shadow.

Luo Ge narrowed his eyes slightly, his right hand instinctively gripping the sword hilt as he stepped back, ready to leave at any moment.

Because he had just seen that massive rock, or rather small mountain, actually heave.

So... this is a living creature?

In the next instant, the "rock" suddenly shook violently, abruptly extending thick limbs before standing up with a boom.

【Rock Spirit】: When resting, it curls up its limbs; combined with its stone-like body, it looks just like a rock.

Extremely sensitive to surroundings, if any creature approaches, it will shift into combat form.

Standing over ten meters tall, it possesses explosive power.

Its body is not flesh and blood, composed mainly of rock and metal.

It dies only when the true core in its chest is destroyed.

Boom-boom-boom—

The Rock Spirit stabilized its stance, a pair of indifferent eyes gazing down at Luo Ge below, as its massive stone palm reached straight for him.

Standing below, Luo Ge suddenly felt the sky darken as that huge palm blocked out the light, like a human swatting a fly.

Luo Ge casually slashed out a sword qi; the sharp blade struck the stone hand, leaving only a deep sword mark.

【I didn't expect such a creature to exist deep within the Beast Forest!】

Luo Ge muttered in surprise; such a creature was truly rare, even on the Six Continents where few had heard of it.

If he really had to explain, he felt this 【Rock Spirit】 resembled a creature from the Dark Continent more.

The Hunter World's worldview is quite vast.

In the entire Hunter World, the Six Continents where humans live are merely a small island in a lake.

Yet the area of this small island rivals that of Blue Star.

On the opposite shore of this lake named "Lake Mobius" lies a continent countless times larger than the Six Continents.

The Dark Continent!

No one knows exactly how much larger it is than the Six Continents, because ordinary people simply do not know of the Dark Continent.

Only a few know that humans are merely huddled on a small island in a lake.

The Dark Continent is extremely dangerous; even a single blade of grass there holds the potential to threaten the lives of all humanity.

Humanity has organized expeditions to explore the Dark Continent many times, but not a single one succeeded.

Those who侥幸 returned were mostly dead or driven mad.

Thus, the Dark Continent is also called 【Human Forbidden Zone】.

Precisely for this reason, Luo Ge felt this unreasonable 【Rock Spirit】 resembled a creature from the Dark Continent.

In ancient times, humans migrated from the Dark Continent to the Six Continents and settled there.

But this does not mean the Six Continents are completely safe; the possibility of bizarre creatures still exists. 720

However, compared to the Dark Continent, the Six Continents are far safer.

Perhaps this 【Rock Spirit】 is one of them.

The terrifying palm came straight down, whipping up a stinging palm wind, as if to crush Luo Ge into a meat patty, yet Luo Ge showed no fear.

In an instant, a purple figure appeared beside Luo Ge; it whipped its tail fiercely, and its powerful arms blocked straight up.

It was Luo Ge's general—Nidoking!

"Roar!"

Nidoking roared, unleashing terrifying power in that moment; its arms held boundless strength as they met the giant hand.

Boom!

The stone giant hand exploded with a deafening crash; as if struck by high explosives, it shattered from the palm outward, sending countless rocks falling.

But beneath the surface, an energy surged, rapidly repairing its hand.

The Rock Spirit's arm was pushed straight up, forcing it to step back several paces, causing the ground to tremble continuously.

Nidoking's intimidating eyes stared coldly at the Rock Spirit; with each step forward, its aura shot skyward.

Earth-yellow aura painted the sky, as if one were immersed in yellow sand, filling the air with yellow.

Bang!

Nidoking stomped the ground hard; the immense force caused the muddy earth to collapse instantly, then a huge surge of aura rushed underground.

Visible to the naked eye, the ground began to shake violently; like a earth dragon turning over, extreme energy surged beneath the surface toward the Rock Spirit.

Ground-type move—Earth Power!

Nidoking's Special Attack base stat was not as high as its Attack, yet it still used a Special Attack move.

Because Luo Ge's Nidoking possessed the hidden ability—Sheer Force!

【Sheer Force】: Secondary effects of moves disappear, and power increases by 30%.

Since Nidoking's moves with secondary effects were generally Special Attack moves, it naturally used a Special Attack move.

Nidoking needed only one final item to achieve its complete form.

Boom!

The ground beneath the Rock Spirit's feet suddenly exploded; the terrifying power, compressed in that instant, was released all at once.

The Rock Spirit's feet shattered to varying degrees; for a moment, the battlefield was filled with pulverized dust and scattered碎石.

A deep crater appeared beneath Yan Ling's feet, and his body involuntarily tilted and fell.

His intact left hand suddenly braced against the ground, preventing him from collapsing completely.

At this moment, Yan Ling's gaze finally held a trace of fear as he looked at the Nidoking, who stood like a war god, and his heart turned toward retreat.

In the next instant, Nidoking stomped the ground, aimed the sharp horn atop his head at Yan Ling, and covered its surface with thick psychic energy.

Ground-type move—Zen Headbutt!

In an instant, Yan Ling's stone body, as if made of paper, was easily pierced, and countless cracks spread outward from this point as the center.

From his massive body, countless rock fragments and debris fell, stirring up dust across the field.

Luo Ge flipped his hand and, as if performing magic tricks, produced a gray sphere with several blue spots.

【Heavy Ball】: Capable of capturing heavy-bodied creatures with great ease.

This 【Heavy Ball】 belonged to a special type of Poké Ball, one he had obtained over the past month.

The 【Heavy Ball】 directly drew Yan Ling inside; after shaking twice, a pleasant chime sounded.

Yan Ling successfully captured!
