Chapter 12: Pokémon World: Starting from Hunter x Hunter, Chapter 5

Different things have different probabilities of being obtained.

【Items】are the most common, mainly various tree fruits, healing potions, and so on.

The probabilities of obtaining 【Skills】and 【Traits】are both quite low; he had only drawn a few in the past month.

However, as his strength increases, the probability of obtaining 【Skills】and 【Traits】will also rise.

And the quality of what he obtains will become increasingly higher.

Luo Ge automatically skipped over the ordinary 【Pecha Berry】, and finally fixed his attention on 【Psychic】.

【Psychic】: a Psychic-type skill; once mastered, it automatically awakens psychic abilities, allowing one to influence or attack objects using psychic power.

Just as he read the skill's effect, Luo Ge sensed a new energy within his body, one he could summon at will.

"So I've become a psychic now?!"

Luo Ge's pupils shrank slightly as he muttered in disbelief.

【Psychic】was familiar to him—it was the most basic Psychic-type skill in Pokémon World, usable by any Psychic-type.

What he hadn't expected was that upon obtaining this skill, psychic power directly manifested within his body.

It was as if he had obtained 【Psychic Power】itself, and 【Psychic】was merely a bonus gift.

After carefully sensing it, Luo Ge realized this energy was still Nen, just with a special quality.

Nen is the special energy used by Nen users in daily practice.

In every respect, Nen is extremely important.

A Nen user without Nen is merely an ordinary person.

After obtaining 【Psychic】, the amount of Nen within him increased significantly, raising his total volume.

This is another benefit of obtaining a skill—it directly increases his total Nen.

Luo Ge now understood why obtaining 【Psychic】allowed him to use psychic power.

Because 【Psychic】is itself a form of psychic power; without psychic power, one cannot use 【Psychic】.

So now, his Nen had acquired a new subtype: Psychic-type.

Luo Ge's heart settled, and he turned his gaze to the pebbles at his feet.

The stone was about the size of a fist, knocked loose from the larger rock by Nidoking.

It would serve perfectly as a test object.

Luo Ge took a deep breath, fixed his eyes on the stone, and immediately a pink energy appeared on its surface.

Under Luo Ge's control, the stone moved without wind, wobbled twice, then soared into the air.

【It really works!】

Luo Ge's expression brightened slightly as he directed the stone's flight with perfect ease—he could truly call himself a psychic now.

And as his internal Nen continued to grow, the psychic abilities he could wield would become stronger and stronger.

Looking at it this way, perhaps he might one day gain other special powers?

In Pokémon World, humans can master several special abilities.

Including Psychic Power, Aura Power, Eon Power…

Each has its own unique effects.

The most representative figure with Psychic Power is Nastya.

Her psychic abilities are so powerful she can turn people into dolls, surpassing most Psychic-type Pokémon.

He was still far from reaching that level, but as his Nen continued to grow and he obtained more Psychic-type skills,

his psychic power would grow stronger too, and one day he might reach Nastya's level—or even surpass her.

Nidoking, watching Luo Ge make the stone float freely in the air, gazed at him with admiration.

His trainer was the strongest!

Nidoking firmly believed this, and hoped to grow quickly so he could assist Luo Ge.

"Ooooh~"

Nidoking whispered softly to Luo Ge, his face filled with determined resolve.

Luo Ge couldn't help but pinch the bridge of his nose, feeling that Pokémon being too diligent wasn't necessarily a good thing.

The key issue was that he could no longer sleep in—every morning at seven, he'd hear Nidoking banging into rocks.

He scratched Nidoking's chin gently and murmured, "Go on, go on. Rest properly."

Having received his trainer's permission, Nidoking eagerly sprinted across the open ground.

This was his second training method: running.

But to Luo Ge, it looked like a rabbit fleeing through the wild.
