Chapter 203: Anime Crossover: Pokémon - Starting from Hunter x Hunter, Chapter 106

"Can you sell me this 【Golden Spray】? I really need this kind of item."

Gon said frankly.

He hoped Luo Ge would sell him some.

Luo Ge shook his head: "I don't lack money, but if you really want it, you can have it."

"How about trading cards for it?"

He didn't lack money; what he wanted more were these cards from 【Greed Island】.

Cards, huh...

Trading items for items?

Gon thought for a moment.

"Fine, but one bottle of 【Golden Spray】 can at most trade for one A-rank card."

Converting cards from 【Greed Island】 into real items requires a considerable price.

The higher the card's rank, the more so.

【Golden Spray】 is indeed important, but he still had to weigh the gains and losses in the transaction.

A slight smile curled Luo Ge's lips as he continued: "Don't rush to decide yet; I have plenty of items here that will tempt you."

The moment his words ended, a bottle of potion appeared in Luo Ge's hand.

【Full Recovery Potion】

"Just one spray, and no matter how severe the injury, you can recover completely. Interested?"

Gon's pupils contracted.

If it were truly as Luo Ge said, this item was far too important; its effect was extremely terrifying!

They knew that within their 【Greed Island】, there was a card capable of healing serious injuries—

SS-rank, 【Angelic Breath】

But it could only be used once; it was a consumable item.

The bottle in Luo Ge's hand could clearly be used multiple times; a single bottle like this held even greater importance than an SS-rank card.

He was tempted.

Watching Gon, who remained silent but stared fixedly at the 【Full Recovery Potion】, Luo Ge understood everything in his heart.

The cards were not getting away!

"Alright, alright, let's leave it at that."

"I've emptied my entire savings with you; even if I wanted to trade more, I'd have the will but not the strength."

Gon waved his hand; this sentence was spoken both to Luo Ge and to himself.

Facing Luo Ge's items, each extremely attractive, he could only force himself to hold back and stop trading.

After a round of "negotiation," both sides had gains and losses; he obtained some recovery items from Luo Ge.

Among them were potions capable of curing adverse statuses like 【Paralysis】 and 【Sleep】.

There was even a top-tier item like the 【Full Recovery Potion】.

Naturally, there was also 【Golden Spray】.

As for Luo Ge's gains, they were even greater.

He obtained several cards from Gon.

【SS-3】 One-Tsubo Forest:

The entrance to a vast forest known as the Garden of the Mountain God.

It houses various creatures that dwell only in this forest; all animals are very friendly toward humans.

【S-10】 Recycling Room:

Place broken items in this room; after 24 hours, they will be repaired, looking brand new.

But absolutely do not open the room before the scheduled time.

【S-10】 Witch's Rejuvenation Pill:

A pill that reduces your age by one year when eaten.

The effect is purely physical; knowledge and memories remain intact.

Be careful: eating a quantity greater than your own age will cause death. One bottle contains a hundred pills.

There are only these three cards above A-rank; there are still several cards at A-rank and below.

Among them, the SS-rank 【One-Tsubo Forest】 is the most precious, as it involves the use of space.

It is equivalent to Luo Ge carrying a Nen space with him, containing a forest terrain.

Actually, 【One-Tsubo Coastline】 is also good, but 【One-Tsubo Forest】 comes with some rare monsters, offering better value.

This SS-rank card was what Luo Ge traded for the 【Full Recovery Potion】.

Originally, Gon was truly reluctant, because the price of an SS-rank card was too high.

But then he thought again: one bottle of 【Full Recovery Potion】 is equivalent to multiple 【Angelic Breath】s; he seemed to have profited.

So the deal was made.

Watching from the side, Bon and Li Si had long been stunned.

Gon could produce these items because of the collective efforts of people like them.

But Luo Ge was not like that.

He alone could produce these items.

They are far stronger than them.

Moreover, the effects of the items are increasingly formidable.

A spray capable of removing thoughts of death.

A potion that, with a single spray, can fully heal even the most severe, critical injuries.

Their effects are comparable to their SS-rank cards.

Truly worthy of the title 【Item Master】!

Indeed, his reputation is well-deserved!

Carefully storing away the several items Luo Ge had given him, Jin couldn't help but ask:

"Luo Ge, exactly how many types of items do you have?"

He felt that Luo Ge's items seemed primarily focused on 【Recovery Items】.

After all, Luo Ge was just one person; how many types of items could he possibly possess?

After pondering for a moment, Luo Ge slowly said, "I'm not certain myself."

Huge question marks instantly popped up above the heads of Jin, Li Si, and Dun.

Luo Ge continued:

"But what is certain is that the variety exceeds that of 【Greed Island】, covering many aspects."

While Pokémon items certainly lack some of the card effects found in 【Greed Island】.

For instance, the 【Recycling Room】.

Pokémon items have nothing in that regard.

However, Pokémon items also possess effects that 【Greed Island】 lacks, such as the 【Max Revive】's ability to remove thoughts of death.

Or the 【Escape Rope】's ability to exit terrain, the 【Red Card】's ability to halt an enemy's capabilities, the 【Poké Ball】's ability to capture creatures...

These are all things 【Greed Island】 cards cannot achieve.

Overall, Pokémon items still offer greater variety.

In truth, it is difficult to compare which side is more powerful.

One can only say that the focus of their effects differs.

The cards of 【Greed Island】 cater more closely to human desires, whereas Pokémon items serve more for combat.

Jin, Dun, and Li Si looked at each other, staring wide-eyed in mutual bewilderment.

In the end, they could only accept Luo Ge's words as truth.

Judging solely from the items Luo Ge had produced earlier, what he said did not seem false.

At Luo Ge's level, there was no need for him to lie over such a matter.

"Good heavens, one person can produce so many types of items."

"And unlike our cards, they aren't so complex, requiring various operations to manifest their effects in reality."

Dun clicked his tongue in admiration.

Today, he had truly witnessed something extraordinary.

Not only did Luo Ge surpass Jin in strength, but he also possessed astonishing item techniques.

He had also heard that Luo Ge owned many miraculous Nen beasts, a point which had not yet been demonstrated.

"How can the difference between people be so vast?"

Dun sighed, pulled a cigarette from his pocket, and thought about taking a couple of puffs to ease his mood.

"You actually have the audacity to compare yourself with Mr. Luo Ge? Learn to clean your own room first before talking about that."

Li Si mocked from the side.

At the same time, he handed over the cards Luo Ge requested, reminding him:

"These cards have all been processed; once we return to reality, they can be used directly."

Luo Ge nodded, glanced casually to confirm everything was correct, then stored them away, smiling at Jin:

"Next time you have needs, feel free to come to me; for every transaction, I'll throw in some free gifts."

Today was just the beginning; most likely, he would conduct further transactions with Jin later on.

Leaving other things aside, the items Jin wanted were all consumables, which would eventually be exhausted.

When that time comes, if he still wants more, he will naturally have no choice but to seek a transaction with him.

In contrast, the items he obtained through trade were mostly permanent, with fewer consumables.

It was quite possible that before he even opened his mouth, Jin would proactively propose another transaction.

Hmm...

He needed to think about which cards to exchange for next time.

The 【Capricious Demon】 seemed quite interesting.

That was a demon capable of granting three wishes.

However, one had to make a thousand wishes, from which the demon would randomly select three to grant.

Wishes like 'Give me one billion,' 'Give me one billion and one,' etc., merely increasing the amount, counted as identical wishes and were not allowed.

The 【Postcard to the Dead】 was also quite excellent.

By writing a letter on a postcard addressed to a deceased person and mailing it, a reply would appear on the return postcard the following day.

A set contained a thousand cards, making them quite durable.

It felt very suitable for use in detective cases; if there was a murder, one could simply mail a postcard to the victim, and the murderer would be immediately exposed.

Watching Luo Ge lost in thought, Jin's eyelids twitched wildly, sensing a bad omen.

Judging by Luo Ge's expression, he was most likely contemplating which cards to take from him next.
