Chapter 224: Anime Pokémon: Starting from Hunter x Hunter Chapter 120

The Soul-Devouring Demon fled in haste.

But the Shadow Balls were too numerous; this was a carpet bombing, leaving it nowhere to hide, forcing it to endure the blows head-on.

"It's useless!"

"You cannot kill me!!"

Facing the massive Shadow Ball, the Soul-Devouring Demon showed no fear, roaring arrogantly.

Luo Ge watched silently.

The Soul-Devouring Demon would not die.

But so what?

He wanted it to be immortal; that way, he could strike harder without worrying about killing it.

Making it easier for him to capture it.

Boom! Boom! Boom...

After a barrage of bombardment, the Soul-Devouring Demon was inevitably blown to the ground, with rolling black qi tightly coiling around its body.

It would recover in no time.

Seizing the opportunity.

Luo Ge casually tossed out a 【Dark Ball】, hitting the Soul-Devouring Demon accurately.

The Dark Ball shook once, twice.

Bang!

It escaped from the ball.

"Did it not succeed?"

"That is rare."

Luo Ge thought for a moment, realizing that most of his captures succeeded with a single ball, with very few failures.

But considering the uniqueness of the Soul-Devouring Demon, spending a few more balls was to be expected.

Changing his mind.

Luo Ge stopped using the 【Dark Ball】 and switched to a 【Timer Ball】 to try.

Since the battle had lasted so long, the capture probability of the Timer Ball should be higher.

The Timer Ball shook once, twice, three times.

Ding-dong!

On the final shake, the Timer Ball successfully captured the Soul-Devouring Demon!

It was truly a limit case.

With the capture of the Soul-Devouring Demon, a large sum of resources flooded into the body of the Mega Gengar, causing its power to surge even further!

Its strength now surpassed even Lucario!

"Pickup Ability activated: Obtained item (Rare) 【Sacred Ash】"

【Sacred Ash】: Originating from the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh, it contains unimaginable life energy and can revive a creature after death.

Provided the creature has been dead for no more than one day.

Luo Ge's pupils contracted slightly.

Another item marked (Rare).

And it was the 【Sacred Ash】!

Sacred Ash, fully named Holy Ash, originates from Ho-Oh.

Ho-Oh is a Pokémon recorded in myths, said to dwell at the foot of the rainbow.

It flies continuously across the sky with its seven-colored, dazzling wings, leaving a rainbow in its wake.

It is said that feathers shimmering with seven colors under light from different angles can bring happiness.

It appears before honest trainers while its seven-colored wings shine.

Legend says those who see Ho-Oh can possess eternal happiness.

Ho-Oh once revived three Pokémon that died in a fire; they later transformed into the legendary Three Beasts.

Suicune, Entei, and Raikou.

Thus, Ho-Oh possesses the power to bring the dead back to life, and the 【Sacred Ash】 is an item embodying this ability.

Unlike the 【Substitute Charm】.

The Sacred Ash not only grants him an extra life but is also far more versatile.

If an unexpected situation arises, if timely, this thing can save a living life.

Truly a top-tier recovery item!

A revival item!
