Chapter 306: Anime Crossover: Pokémon from Hunter x Hunter Chapter 165

The reason Luo Ge was willing to serve as an examiner was simple.

He wanted to see if he could obtain something within this plot that left such a deep mark in the original work.

At most, it was just wasting a few days, and he was serving as an examiner in one of the links, not a candidate.

Along the way, he came to Whale Island, the place where the protagonist appears, to take a look.

"I'm saying, you, you're the world's strongest, so why are you being an examiner?"

"Uh... can you not tell Gon about my situation?"

In the end, Jin Huang yielded.

"The tone of your voice just now wasn't very good~ I'll have to think carefully about whether I need to have a chat with your son."

"Or even take him to meet that father he hasn't seen for so long."

"Luo Ge, you..."

Jin Huang hadn't finished speaking when the phone was hung up.

Because Luo Ge had discovered something very important.

Looking out, on the golden beach there was a blue-and-white creature, squatting on a sand pile and gazing into the distance.

Luo Ge narrowed his eyes slightly, and a trace of joy appeared.

As expected, coming to Whale Island would yield good things!

That creature was a Pokémon—

Froakie.

Froakie is a light-blue frog-like Pokémon.

It has large yellow eyes, with pupils that are sometimes oval and sometimes squinted into a line.

It has a dark-blue stripe on its head, and the junctions of its hands, palms, and arms are white, like wearing a pair of white gloves.

Its snout, back, and neck have white Froakie bubbles; the bubbles on its back and neck resemble a bundle.

Froakie releases bubbles from its chest and back, wrapping its body in delicate bubbles to protect its skin.

It can also use elastic bubbles to block attacks and reduce damage.

It looks carefree, but in reality, it shrewdly spies on its surroundings; its leisurely appearance is actually an act used to deceive enemies.

It can display excellent jumping ability, and will unexpectedly suppress enemies with lightning speed.

It is also one of the starter Pokémon in the Kalos region of the Pokémon world.

Its evolution, Greninja, is even widely loved among the Pokémon.

Luo Ge advanced slowly.

At the same time, a ball of extremely dense green light appeared in his hand.

The Power of Viridian!

After training and using it during this period, his Power of Viridian had grown far greater than it was back then.

It could easily gain the goodwill of normal creatures.

As expected.

"Kwa?"

Froakie immediately turned its head, its gaze toward Luo Ge filled with warmth, and it paddled its frog legs, jumping right in front of him.

Luo Ge squatted halfway down, looking at Froakie, and spoke in a gentle tone:

"Froakie, will you come with me?"

"To travel to a wider world, to witness this world, and then become stronger!"

Froakie looked at Luo Ge, its eyes became determined, and then it extended its frog hand, holding it in the air.

Luo Ge understood, and similarly extended his hand, clasping it together.

From this moment on, he had a strange feeling, as if he could get along very well with Froakie.

He took out a Cherish Ball and casually captured Froakie inside.

In a good mood, Luo Ge activated his Nen ability here.

"Obtained item 【Fossil Dragon】"

"Obtained item 【Fossil Fish】"

"Obtained ability 【Rain Dish】"

"Obtained skill 【Water Shuriken】"

【Fossil Dragon】: A combination fossil; it can be spliced with other combination fossils to form a complete fossil.

【Fossil Fish】: A combination fossil; it can be spliced with other combination fossils to form a complete fossil.

【Rain Dish】: In rainy weather, slowly restores HP and stamina.

【Water Shuriken】: A shuriken made of mucus; it attacks continuously two to five times and is guaranteed to strike first.

Fossil Dragon and Fossil Fish?

This was the first time Luo Ge had seen such fossils.

Since obtaining the Secret Amber previously and creating the Fossilized Pterosaur, he had not obtained a second fossil.

Although two came out this time, they must be combined to be used, so it still counts as just one.

If he remembered correctly, the combination of Fossil Dragon and Fossil Fish should be...

Clawitzer?

Thinking of that ugly-cute yet exceptionally powerful Pokémon, Luo Ge was deeply impressed.

Ash's Clawitzer was still outstanding and possessed distinct characteristics.

Later, he would find time to use the Fossil Revival Machine, and then he would have one more Fossil Pokémon.

Gathering his thoughts, Luo Ge raised his gaze to look.

A ship had already reached the shore.

At the same time, a dark-green figure boarded the ship.

The plot had begun.
