Chapter 37

【Fourth year: Fionn, who was successfully rescued, is overjoyed and grips your hands tightly. To reward you, he decides to appoint you as the Chief and Deputy of the Fianna Knights. Therefore, for the sake of fairness, everyone decides to use force to determine who is the Chief and who is the Deputy.】

【Fourth year, August: You decide the winner at the royal city's martial arts arena! Almost everyone comes to watch!】

【On the arena, the two of you stand opposite each other, one holding a wooden sword and the other a wooden spear. You swing your weapons. Diarmuid's combat power is astonishing, but Lin Ye is a master of both techniques and tactics, and he can fight back and forth with Diarmuid.】

【At the critical moment, Diarmuid is slightly more skilled and wins. At this moment, Diarmuid attracts the eyes of everyone in the arena!】

Lin Ye...

"In this way, my rating should be a bit higher, right?"

Lin Ye already understands that his final rating is a comprehensive evaluation based on target tasks and his own achievements. If Diarmuid doesn't become the number one of the Fianna Knights, won't his rating drop a bit?

Lin Ye immediately continues to watch. Shouldn't the next part be the two of them fighting side by side and creating a beautiful story together?

【That night: Just when everyone is celebrating for you, you and Diarmuid are unable to hold your liquor and prepare to leave. However, the moment you step out the door, a beautiful figure blocks your path.】

【She introduces herself as Gráinne and says she is Fionn's fiancée, but she is unwilling to marry an old man in his fifties and is willing to run away with Diarmuid.】

"What the hell!" Lin Ye is stunned.

Good guy, Diarmuid doesn't even have the Love Spot now, how can you still fall in love with him at first sight!

No, thinking about it carefully, it makes sense. Fionn is now an old man in his fifties or sixties who has lost two wives and has grandchildren that old, and he wants to marry a young woman?

Plus, Diarmuid is a handsome man, and he showed off today; any normal woman would know how to choose.

At this moment, Lin Ye suddenly remembers what the incarnation of youth said to him before.

"Fate is not so easy to change. This is Diarmuid's fate; it cannot be changed so easily."

Thinking of this, Lin Ye still smiles confidently.

I'll say it again: "Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets their mind to it!"

【Gráinne and Diarmuid elope. In fact, Diarmuid originally insisted on refusing, but he didn't expect Gráinne to be a powerful witch. She used a solemn Druid spell, so Diarmuid couldn't refuse.】

Oh no!

Diarmuid's face turns pale. Running off with the King's woman—isn't this just asking for death?

No, I must be careful of that woman Gráinne in the future, otherwise... should I learn from brother Lin Ye and wear a mask?

Good idea! I'm so handsome, I'm not suited for battlefield slaughter anyway; isn't wearing a mask just right?

Yeah! Decided! That's what I'll do!

However, let's see what the final result of this simulation is.

【Fourth year, August 14th: Fionn learns of Diarmuid and Gráinne's elopement. Fionn is furious and sends Lin Ye to lead the Fianna Knights to pursue you!】

【Fourth year, August 18th: County Clare. Lin Ye is about to catch up with you. At the critical moment, Lin Ye suddenly gets a stomachache from eating something bad last night, so you escape successfully.】

【Fourth year, August 24th: Scottish Highlands. Lin Ye suddenly has a high fever, and you escape successfully.】

【Fourth year, August 28th: Finally, you and Gráinne successfully escape to Ceis Corann, and you decide to settle there.】

"Lin Ye!"

Diarmuid is moved beyond words. Having such a friend, this life is enough. He isn't stupid; he can certainly see that he was able to escape because Lin Ye was letting him go time and time again.

He clicks on one of the times Lin Ye let him go. He sees with his own eyes that in the Scottish Highlands, Lin Ye stands on a high platform, watching him leave, and shouts loudly to him,

"Since you've decided to hold her hand, never let go!"

What sincere emotion this is!

【Fourth year, September 13th: Finally, your news reaches Fionn. Fionn is furious at Lin Ye's behavior of letting you go again and again! He wants to punish Lin Ye, but Lin Ye leaves behind four lines of poetry with great strength:】

【The bride is eighteen, the groom is eighty, white hair meets red makeup.】
