Chapter 286: Ring of Covenant

"Hoo... ha..."

The Fairy King's breathing became a bit rapid. Even though Lucifer had already moved her hands away from her ears and she had escaped that state of listening to faith, the previous impact was too strong. At this moment, she was like a drowning person who had just been saved, not yet fully recovered.

After recovering slightly, Seeing Zhai Wu Hun looked at the Fallen Angel opposite with lingering fear.

"Don't you find this feeling noisy? How do you handle it?"

She asked curiously.

Regarding this, the Fallen Angel rolled her eyes at her directly.

"If you find it noisy, can't you block it? And the angels' Ring of Faith itself is specifically used to manage the power of faith."

Lucifer pointed to the pitch-black, shiny fallen halo above her head.

"So that's how it is."

The Fairy King nodded, suddenly enlightened.

The Ring of Faith is the core talent of the Angel Race, just like the Dragon's Breath she possesses is the core talent of dragons.

Dragon's Breath can naturally strengthen the body, which happens to correspond to the attribute of dragons that represents physical strength, so the Ring of Faith probably corresponds to the core ability of angels—the power of faith.

No wonder many angels' halos are damaged and their strength is greatly reduced, or they even lose their power directly.

However...

"Wearing this thing on your head every day, what do you do when you sleep at night? Your fallen angel halo's black light is fine, but what about those normal angels?"

Seeing Zhai Wu Hun couldn't help but ask the question she had always wanted to ask.

Fallen Angel: "..."

You thought for a long time just to ask this?

"Angels don't sleep, at least low-level angels work all year round without rest. As for high-level angels, it's fine like this."

Lucifer looked at the curious baby-like appearance of the martial spirit opposite and finally sighed, explaining. While explaining, she reached out to hold the halo above her head and took it off.

Yeah, that's right, she just took it off like that.

This left Seeing Zhai Wu Hun dumbfounded.

"Ah, so this thing can actually be taken off?"

The Fairy King was shocked. She had always thought that this halo was just a special effect of power manifestation, never expecting that this thing was actually a physical object.

"In fact, not only can it be taken off, but it can also be used by others."

The Fallen Angel lady flicked the pitch-black halo in her hand with her slender fingers and then threw it towards the top of Dorothy's head. Immediately, this halo floated above Dorothy's head just like that.

"Low-level angels cannot possess their own Ring of Faith, so their halos are all bestowed by the high-level angels they belong to. This is inherently one of the means for high-level angels to control their subordinates."

Lucifer explained so. As she said this, another identical black halo appeared above her head.

"However, this halo isn't given for free. In fact, low-level angels are just servants of high-level angels. They work diligently to preach and harvest faith, but in the end, only ten percent of the harvest belongs to them, and the remaining ninety percent is taken away by high-level angels as tribute."

"Of course, the ten percent share is only for the lowest-level servant angels, and the higher the level of the servant angel, the higher the share, although it generally won't exceed fifty percent."

"But since you are the eldest lady, I'll give you this Ring of Faith. I won't take a cut, but be careful not to break it. After all, you don't have angel talent and can't repair it yourself, which is quite troublesome."

The Fallen Angel instructed so.

After all, she had promised to help the eldest lady set up the faith system for the Moon Rabbit's Moon Worship Sect, and in this, a Ring of Faith was necessary. Anyway, it had to be given sooner or later, so it was better to give it in advance now.

Of course, there was one thing she didn't say, and that was that the Ring of Faith she just threw out was different from the ordinary halos bestowed on subordinates to cut leeks and serve as control means; it was a Ring of Covenant.

The Ring of Covenant is a copy of the true faith halo, almost enjoying the same permissions as the main ring, and is not a concept with those castrated-function mass-produced rings.

Each high-level angel can only create one Ring of Covenant in their lifetime. As for the function of this special Ring of Faith...

Just like its name, this is for exchanging covenants. More specifically, it is a covenant token given by high-level angels to their partners.

In angel marriage, exchanging Rings of Covenant is a ritual, representing that both sides form an unbreakable alliance from then on, sharing power with each other.

"Disgraceful body, if you want to give it, why don't you give it yourself? You have to make me give it."

Lucifer complained about her own body in her heart.

She was just an avatar and naturally didn't have the ability to create a Ring of Covenant. This Ring of Covenant naturally belonged to the body.

And the body specifically emphasized not to talk too much and explain, which left the Fallen Angel speechless.

After all, in her world line, her Ring of Covenant was kept by herself until death. She didn't trust anyone except herself, and all the loneliness on the dark road belonged only to herself.

However, being the same self, the body on this fate line actually handed over such an important thing so easily, and handing it over was one thing, but if it could harvest enough returns, it would be barely acceptable. But this wave was a complete giveaway.

"Tsk, with you like this, body, you are destined not to go far. You will definitely die earlier than me. I said it."

Lucifer thought so in her heart.

"Alright, don't study it anymore. You don't have many believers now, so having a Ring of Faith isn't of much use. You can go. I will prepare the materials today and go to the Moon Rabbit side tomorrow to help you set up the faith system."

Looking at the martial spirit avatar opposite still curiously playing with the Ring of Covenant above her head, the increasingly angry Fallen Angel chose to look away, and she issued an eviction order.

However, just after she finished speaking, the Ring of Covenant above the Fairy King's head changed.

First, it faded, changing from a black ring to a pure white ring. This was normal, after all, Sophie Liya as the body hadn't fallen into a fallen angel, so the original black was just a disguise. This Ring of Covenant was originally white, just as pure white as the pure white witch.

But the changes after this Ring of Covenant left the Fallen Angel a bit confused.

This Ring of Covenant, which was originally just a simple, plain circular halo, suddenly expanded. Countless profound runes shone around the halo, and finally, these runes gathered into the shapes of thousands of weapons. These miniature weapons were embedded on the halo, making it look like a crown made of countless weapons at first glance.

"What the hell, why is the covenant... the faith halo activated? Where did you get believers?"

Lucifer stood up in astonishment.
