Chapter 135

~7 min read 1,257 words

However, not long after he finished the meeting, he received a report from his subordinate that the Ugly Country ambassador had rushed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs overnight.

He expressed Ugly Country's protest against Dragon Country.

In his view, the J-20 fighter jets appearing over the Middle East were definitely linked to Dragon Country.

"I protest! Your country dispatched fighter jets to invade Syria and aid an evil dictatorial president!"

As a result, the leader of the diplomatic department retorted immediately upon meeting him:

"Apologies, Mr. Ambassador, our country has never dispatched fighter jets into Syria; as for whether the Syrian President is an evil dictatorial ruler,

that is a matter for the Syrian people and has nothing to do with you or me.

Furthermore, our country firmly opposes your nation's invasion of Syria, the use of depleted uranium munitions, and attacks on civilian communities, among other actions.

We hope your side, acting on humanitarian principles, will properly address the civilian issues..."

Faced with the diplomatic platitudes delivered by the leader of Dragon Country's diplomatic department,

the Ugly Country ambassador turned red with rage.

"Your country must be held responsible for our losses this time; we will not let this rest!"

However, the leader of the diplomatic department stated:

"We hope your country can respect the facts and not fabricate non-existent events.

Dragon Country has always upheld the principles of sovereignty and equality in handling international affairs and would never engage in actions that damage the interests of other nations.

Naturally, we need not compensate any country for losses; as for whether your country lets this rest or not, that is your own affair and has nothing to do with us!"

Thus, the Ugly Country ambassador stormed out of the diplomatic department in a fury.

That same day, a Dragon Country spokesperson addressed reporters' inquiries regarding this incident.

They stated that this matter, including the aircraft active over the Middle East battlefield, had absolutely no connection to Dragon Country.

Upholding the concept of peaceful development, Dragon Country would absolutely never dispatch aircraft to wage war against any nation.

Of course, all of this was yet to come.

Meanwhile, on the Syrian battlefield, Lin Yi pursued relentlessly.

Those Ugly Country F/A-18E fighters fled as fast as if they wished they could grow an extra pair of legs.

Lin Yi had no choice but to launch missiles, firing them at these fighter jets.

In the end, he even chased them all the way into Jordanian territory.

Only then did he annihilate the majority of the fighter jets,

including that F-22 Raptor, which failed to escape his grasp.

It could be said that after this battle, the so-called F-22 Raptor was nothing but trash, while the J-20 undoubtedly claimed the top spot among stealth heavy fighter jets.

As the final PL-21 air-to-air missile was launched.

Strangely, after the main weapons bay of Lin Yi's J-20 closed beneath his feet,

a swirl of black dust drifted, and six missiles materialized once more, hanging neatly on the loading mechanism.

This was precisely the confidence that allowed Lin Yi to pursue the flock of Ugly Nation fighter jets.

Had he not possessed infinite ammunition, he would have departed immediately after expending his missiles.

Instead, the kill ratio now stood at an astonishing 0:23.

Such exaggerated figures, achieved against the Ugly Nation's most powerful air force,

would cause a sensation if revealed to the world, securing a permanent place in global air force history.

However, although this portion of the Ugly Nation's aircraft had been annihilated,

Lin Yi was not yet prepared to return.

He directly maneuvered the J-20, carving a perfect arc through the sky.

Then, he plunged straight into the Red Sea.

There, hovering over the Red Sea, were three carrier battle groups, plus two obsolete Type 23 frigates from Britain,

along with a KDX-I class destroyer from South Korea.

This constituted the entire naval strength of the United Nations Army.

Although Gaul and Hans had nominally supported the Ugly Nation's invasion of Syria, neither had dispatched any naval forces.

Given the internal chaos plaguing Gaul, that was trouble enough for them to handle,

leaving no energy to spare for forming a joint navy.

But these were matters for later discussion.

At this moment, silence fell upon everyone aboard a Ugly Nation aircraft carrier.

Not a single person spoke.

This was because every carrier-based aircraft launched from this ship had been lost without exception.

This carrier alone had lost over fifteen F/A-18 Super Hornets.

It could be said that the number of carrier-based aircraft on board had instantly been halved.

Although headquarters had already transmitted intelligence to the Ugly Nation's joint fleet,

and the Lieutenant General commanding the operation had informed the fleet captains of the situation, it was precisely because they knew the truth

that they found it unbearable to accept, mourning as if a parent had died.

What had they heard? That a single Dragon Nation J-20, acting alone,

had completely wiped out the carrier-based aircraft they had dispatched on this mission.

Most incredible of all, among those lost were three F-22 Raptors launched from the Old Saudi air base.

Upon hearing this news, the aircraft carrier's command center fell into absolute silence.

Everyone felt as though they were listening to a fairy tale.

"This is impossible, Captain George; even if all our fighters were hovering in the sky waiting to be attacked,

could the enemy possibly possess that many missiles? How could there be only one aircraft? This defies all logic!"

Someone retorted after the initial shock.

"Yes, I heard the Dragon Nation's J-20 lacks a cannon; relying solely on missiles, how could it possibly annihilate us, especially with three F-22s involved?"

However, Captain George stated:

"The message I just received from the Lieutenant General confirms there was indeed only one J-20.

Although I expressed severe doubt, the intelligence department is absolutely certain that only one J-20 hunted our carrier-based aircraft!"

"Oh God!"

With this confirmation, many Ugly Nation crew members simply could not accept it.

Almost all of them had been in the command center moments before, hearing the despair in the pilots' final transmissions.

Those pilots had screamed in terror that they were locked onto by missiles,

and no matter what they did, escape was impossible.

The missiles had chased right behind their tails, closing in at tremendous speed.

Some pilots had ejected and parachuted to safety, but the majority had been blown to bits, leaving no bones behind.

Yet, who could have imagined that the opponent who drove them to a state of having no path to heaven and no door to earth

was merely a single J-20?

It could be said that today marked the Ugly Nation's greatest loss and the most devastating blow to morale since the war began.

The invincible Ugly Nation Air Force had been shut out, resulting in nothing less than a complete slaughter of aircraft.

Even the Ugly Nation's ace,

the F-22 Raptor, had been powerless to fight back under the enemy's beyond-visual-range combat tactics.

However, before they could finish their lamentations,

a sailor suddenly rushed in panic-stricken, stammering,

"A Dragon Nation J-20 aircraft is flying directly over the joint fleet...!"

"What?"

Captain George stared in disbelief, his eyes widening.

Immediately, he rushed out to the carrier's flight deck along with the rest of the command center staff.

Suddenly, a massive silhouette swept past one side of the aircraft carrier.
