Chapter 9

Before Lin Yi could understand what was going on,

suddenly a mechanical voice without emotion rang in his mind.

"Detected that the host has completed the initial task"

"Ding... Super Arms System is starting..."

"Startup complete!"

Immediately, Lin Yi felt a virtual panel appear in his mind.

"Host: Lin Yi"

"Age: 21"

"Race: Human"

"Arms Dealer Prestige: 1 (Lowest-level arms dealer)"

"Tech Tree Level: One Star"

"What's going on!?" Lin Yi felt completely bewildered.

He looked at his roommates in the dorm; Fatty Wang Kai and Little Magic City were still struggling in the game,

and the Love Saint Ye Yu was grinning, playing with his satellite phone.

None of them paid attention to Lin Yi's situation.

And they didn't hear the voice that just popped up.

Lin Yi suddenly felt that this was probably a gift from heaven.

Of course, with his personality, it was absolutely impossible for him to tell anyone.

Lin Yi immediately muttered in his heart:

"System, what exactly are you? Who created you!?"

However, the system did not reply at all.

"Then what is your purpose, System!?"

This time the system's voice rang out:

"This system is committed to helping the host become the world's largest arms dealer while accelerating the progress of civilization?"

"Arms dealer! Progress of civilization!"

Lin Yi muttered these two sentences in his heart.

The first one naturally goes without saying.

The second one, the progress of civilization, this concept is a bit big.

The progress of a world's civilization, besides spiritual civilization, the most important thing is the tech tree.

Humans have walked from the Stone Age to the present,

and most of the cutting-edge technology serves war.

For example, the birth of semiconductors led to the proliferation of precision-guided weapons.

The Second World War led to the appearance of nuclear weapons, etc.

Almost every major war, for the humans on Blue Star, is an acceleration of the progress of civilization.

It can be said that war is a catalyst for technology.

And the Arms Tycoon System in Lin Yi's mind actually involves civilization, which is quite thought-provoking.

Then, he began to ask how to operate the arms system.

Including arms dealer prestige, tech tree level, and upgrade conditions, etc.

"Ding, initial arms catalog is being generated..."

"Generation complete..."

"Tech tree level upgrade conditions: Sell 5,000 basic firearms (incomplete), 1 million rounds of ammunition (incomplete), 5 points of arms dealer prestige (incomplete)"

Hearing the system's prompt,

Lin Yi saw an extra catalog button on the system interface.

He tried to open it with his mind.

Immediately, a catalog appeared before him.

B13 (Desert Eagle), Hans 9mm HK98 pistol, Italian 7.65mm Beretta 81 pistol,

Spanish 9mm Star 30M and 30PK pistols, Swiss 9mm SIG P210 pistol, and of course, there is also the once-famous Big Black Star.

Besides pistols, in the machine gun catalog, there are the famous AK47, Hans's MP40 submachine gun, 9mm Walther MP-L/K submachine gun.

Ugly Nation's 9mm Ingram M10 submachine gun, 11.43mm M3 submachine gun, etc.

The entire catalog collected all light weapons from various countries from the 40s to the 80s.

Besides this, there are no other catalogs.

No artillery, aircraft, tanks, etc.

"Why are there no aircraft, tanks, or artillery!?"

Lin Yi asked the system.

"Catalog types can be unlocked after the tech tree level is upgraded!"

The system's cold voice rang out.

"Why are there only light weapons from the 40s-80s!"

You must know that according to this standard, the Barrett sniper rifle born in 1982 is not in the catalog.

"The host can use money to increase the catalog's time limit... For example: upgrading to light weapons born in the 90s requires 5 million USD!"

In the Q&A, Lin Yi had a rough understanding of the entire arms system.

Looking at the 20 USD price tag under the AK.

Lin Yi, who has been struggling in Magic City for more than two years, knows what this represents.
