Chapter 18: Dinosaur Feast (3)
Soon, the Velociraptor finished eating. A huge Brachiosaurus, larger than an elephant and more than twice as large as an elephant, was turned into food and entered the Velociraptor's belly.
It is hard to imagine that such a small Velociraptor could actually hunt such a large Brachiosaurus alive, and the means were so cruel and so fast.
This is the same principle as the blue whale. The blue whale is one of the largest whale species in the world, but it is the gentlest whale. It feeds on plankton in the ocean and has never thought of resisting when encountering predators, but chooses to escape.
"It's a pity, it grew to such a size but can only be food. The natural world is truly wonderful." Ye Nan said regretfully.
He quietly patted his travel bag, determined that he would never let Little Godzilla grow into a gentle creature like a Brachiosaurus. He would rather Little Godzilla become a bloodthirsty creature like a Velociraptor.
"This is just the nature of the Brachiosaurus. It is a herbivore, and its combat power is almost zero. In the Jurassic era, it was one of the main food sources for the Velociraptor." Dr. Hammond laughed, without a trace of pity in his eyes. All of this was just created by him using cloning technology, and he didn't treat them as real creatures at all.
He was not like Grant, who was fanatical about research but indifferent to money, nor was he like Ellie, who had pity for life.
If he wanted to build the whole island into a Jurassic Park, he couldn't just have herbivores, otherwise, it wouldn't take long for the whole island to be eaten up by this group of herbivores.
And for tourists, the unchanging scenery would only make them feel bored after watching it for a long time. Only excitement would make them come to watch continuously.
And the best excitement is the dinosaur predation unique to the Jurassic era. That bloody scene can stimulate the most primitive and instinctive pleasure in the depths of the human heart.
This kind of pleasure is like drug addiction, which will bring people from all over the world who are eager to vent to Jurassic Park, so that the flow of people in Jurassic Park will never stop.
Seeming to have thought of something, Ellie suddenly raised her head, glared fiercely at Dr. Hammond, and shouted loudly: "Hammond, you beast, you actually created such a fierce dinosaur. You are violating international conventions."
"This world needs balance. If there were no carnivorous dinosaurs like the Velociraptor, the entire Jurassic Park would soon be swallowed up by this group of herbivores. I am also thinking about the ecological environment." Hammond said with a slightly helpless look, as if he had been slandered.
"Besides, you also know that I don't belong to the federal government here, nor do I belong to any country on Earth. Here, I am the king myself, and everything is controlled by me."
"You will get retribution." Ellie looked at Hammond fiercely, full of disgust.
In her eyes, creatures that had already gone extinct in the Jurassic era were finally resurrected and were just about to continue their population, but were killed by the Velociraptor created by Hammond. In her eyes, the culprit was Hammond.
"People are always emotional. They like gentle creatures and hate those cruel creatures. I didn't expect that even you, Dr. Ellie, couldn't get rid of this nature. I have always believed that researchers should abandon unnecessary emotions and devote everything to research. This is a true researcher. Don't you think so, Dr. Grant?"
Grant, who was stroking a small Brachiosaurus and carefully observing the Velociraptor's hunt, nodded upon hearing this: "Ellie, Hammond is right. As a researcher, what we have to do is research. As for sympathy, that is just survival of the fittest."...
"Don't you have a little bit of conscience?" Ellie suddenly roared at Grant, the expression in her words seeming as if she were particularly disappointed in Grant.
"Ellie, it's not that I'm talking about you, as a researcher, you should put emotions aside."
"Actually, Ellie, you are right." Ye Nan interjected, "People are people because they have love. People without love are worse than beasts."
"Are you talking about me?" Grant suddenly became furious: "Kid, I've tolerated you for a long time. Do you really think you are some kind of federal genius? Actually, you are just a little brat hyped up by the media."
"You are jealous of me!" Although Ye Nan was asking a question, in reality, his tone was very firm. Without waiting for Grant to refute, he continued: "From your performance, you are very jealous of me. On the way, you threatened me several times. Now I just said one sentence, and you suddenly became furious, which shows that you have long wanted to get angry at me."
"It's just that I don't know what you are jealous of me for. Is it my handsomeness, my talent, or my wealth? Maybe all of them. Sigh, genius children are always envied by others."
If anyone else heard these words from Ye Nan, they would secretly curse him for being cocky and then laugh it off, but Grant didn't. He reacted even more angrily: "You little brat, you think I'm jealous of you? Who do you think you are? What do you have that is worth me being jealous of?"
"Just because I built a huge ICQ company in less than a year, so you are jealous of me, jealous of my talent, jealous of my wealth." Ye Nan said firmly, "I understand you. You once said that children only know how to spend money recklessly, but my appearance broke what you said yourself, so you hate me and try every possible way to attack me."
Ye Nan poked through what Grant was thinking in one word, but his goal was not Grant, but Ellie. He found that he was becoming more and more interested in this Ellie.
Although Ellie was Grant's assistant, her knowledge was not low. She was a graduate of a prestigious university. If it weren't for Ellie liking Grant, Grant wouldn't have been able to recruit such a beautiful and knowledgeable assistant.
But unfortunately, Grant was in bliss but didn't know it. Facing Ellie's several hints, he remained indifferent and focused on his own career.
Perhaps he didn't know, he just didn't want to accept it. But what did this have to do with Ye Nan? He had already made up his mind to poach him, but before poaching, he had to dispel Ellie's admiration for Grant. Otherwise, if Grant called her back, wouldn't he be losing both his wife and his army?
PS: Because of kidney stones, I was hospitalized these past few days, which is why I could only update once a day. Now it doesn't hurt anymore. Starting tomorrow, I will resume two updates. I will try my best to save up drafts. ===== CHAPTER 19 =====
