Chapter 190: Combat
Stark wore a gray short-sleeved shirt, his face showing signs of fatigue, yet his eyes remained fixed on the armor before him, an indescribable excitement lingering in his brows.
"It's almost finished."
On the original version of the armor, he had improved the power system and used a brand-new metal to reinforce the outer steel plating, protecting the conveyor belt.
"As long as we restart the Arc Reactor to provide power to the armor, it will be complete."
"Since you created it, you should give it a name." Yinsen said, equally excited. Although he was not the designer of this armor, as Stark's assistant, he still felt an indescribable sense of excitement.
"Let's call it Mark I." Stark said with a smile, "My most perfect work. I will use it to defeat that guy named Wesker."
Boom!
Ye Nan, operating the Terminator, threw a finished helmet in front of Stark. "I don't think I should be helping you with this work."
Ye Nan raised his palm. Under the high temperature, the Terminator's body began to melt. Although this level of heat would not completely incinerate the Terminator, it could turn it into liquid.
"It seems the material you used to build the Terminator isn't very good." Stark looked at Ye Nan's body, which was almost melting into liquid, and chuckled. "Don't cut corners in the future, or you'll be in big trouble if something goes wrong."
"I didn't cut corners. This material is just like this; it's extremely afraid of high temperatures. Many mechanical experts simply cannot solve this problem. Stark, do you have any way to help me solve this?" Ye Nan asked.
"Researching it might work, but not right now. Besides, I don't know what this so-called material of yours actually is or what its properties are. I can't guarantee I can help you solve the problem."
As Stark spoke, he climbed into the armor. "Come on, install the helmet, then tighten every hex screw and help me secure it."
"I feel like I've become your servant."
Ye Nan stepped forward and tightened all the hex screws on the armor. "How many hours can this big guy operate?"
"About an hour. If it has enough energy and isn't destroyed, it's theoretically a perpetual motion machine." Stark closed his eyes, letting Ye Nan place the helmet on him.
"I'm looking forward to your performance." Ye Nan entered several characters into the computer. "Activate the Arc Reactor."
"The protagonist has already appeared; how can the supporting cast be missing? Simila, stop the synthetic screen and show the real situation here to those people." A smug smile appeared on the corner of Ye Nan's mouth.
While helping Stark, he had not only scanned Stark's design blueprints but also recorded all of Stark's movements and sent them to the experts at Eternal Machinery. Presumably, it wouldn't be long before the small Arc Reactor technology fell into his hands.
"Stark, I look forward to your performance. I hope you can present me with a perfect answer sheet."
Ye Nan looked at Stark, full of anticipation.
Stark's new armor, Mark I, was overall a grayish-white color, with two white electronic eyes constantly scanning the surroundings.
Stark operated his steel armor and took a step; the machinery was nimble, but the footsteps were heavy. "This steel armor is still a bit imperfect; it's a bit too heavy and clumsy."
Stark's voice came out through the armor's loudspeaker...
"Things are never perfect; you just need to keep modifying them. But before modifying, you should engage in real combat..."
Ye Nan said, "Yinsen, are you leaving first or staying here to wait?"
"I don't want to leave, nor do I want to wait here. I want to see the power of the steel armor. This is the most perfect work I have completed in my life." Yinsen looked at the steel armor, his eyes full of obsession.
Although Yinsen was only the person assisting in the manufacture of the steel armor, no one present refuted Yinsen's words.
Just as Ye Nan stopped transmitting the synthetic screen, the terrorists also discovered the situation inside, and one by one, under Wesker's orders, they rushed over.
"The game officially begins." Wesker, sitting in the chair, turned around, looked at the camera, and pulled a faint smile at the corner of his mouth.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
Rapid footsteps came from outside. Hearing the sound, Stark immediately said, "Ye Nan, you stay here and protect Yinsen. I'll go take care of them."
"You'd better be careful; they will give you an unexpected surprise." Ye Nan smiled, watched the departing Iron Man Stark, and immediately followed. "Don't you want to see the power of the steel armor? Then come with me, let's go up and see."
Two trails of fire suddenly erupted from behind Stark's steel armor, and Stark, who had been walking, switched to flight mode.
"Come on, you bunch of scum, the dregs of society, let me, Stark, take care of you."
Outside the door, a group of terrorists rushed over. As soon as they saw Stark, they immediately raised the guns in their hands and opened fire at Stark.
Countless bullets poured out of the guns, hitting Stark's steel armor and sparking a series of flashes.
"Not enough. The power of your weapons is not enough; they don't even qualify to tickle me." Stark lifted his feet and strode forward. "Now it's my turn."
Stark grabbed a terrorist and threw a punch, the huge force sending the terrorist flying.
Ugh!
The terrorist who was thrown out suddenly knelt on the ground and began to vomit, several pink tentacles extending from his mouth.
These tentacles looked very much like octopus tentacles, but compared to octopus tentacles, these had far fewer suckers.
"Is this the parasite?" Ye Nan followed behind Stark, seeing this scene, but was not very surprised.
As early as when Wesker made his move and used parasites to control these terrorists, the satellite had already captured the footage; it was just that hearing about it and seeing it were two different things.
Although the parasites in the movie looked disgusting, they were definitely not as disgusting as what Ye Nan saw in reality. A large amount of yellow liquid flowed out of the terrorist's mouth, and a foul stench hit his nose.
"Parasite? What parasite? Is this thing controlling these terrorists?" Stark turned his head and asked. The two electronic eyes not only saw Ye Nan but also saw Yinsen, and he immediately became a bit angry. "Yinsen, why did you come out? Didn't I tell you not to come out?"
"A parasite is a virus, a virus that can control the host's consciousness by parasitizing the host's central nervous system."
"Once a parasite infects a host, it will retain the host's IQ and strengthen the host's physical fitness, giving the host greater speed and destructive power than ordinary people. To kill it, you must attack the head. In addition, this parasite can invade the human body through the mouth, so be careful."
Ye Nan stated the characteristics of the parasite. "As for Yinsen, he wanted to see the combat capability of his work, and I had no choice but to bring him out."
Ye Nan spread his hands, making himself sound very innocent...
Stark's gaze fixed on Yinsen, waiting for Yinsen's answer.
"It's like this, I really wanted to see the combat power of the Mark I, so I asked Ye Nan to bring me out. Don't blame him." Yinsen helped Ye Nan lie.
He indeed really wanted to come out to see the combat power of the Mark I. Even if Ye Nan hadn't brought him out, he would have begged Ye Nan to bring him out. Ye Nan's actions just saved him the trouble of speaking.
"I wouldn't dare blame him." Stark turned his head, staring intently at the terrorists in front of him.
These terrorists had all vomited out tentacles, the pink tentacles constantly swaying in the air, one end connected to their mouths, the other end outside, baring fangs and brandishing claws.
"You disgusting monsters." Stark rushed over, his steel-wrapped fist smashing fiercely toward one of the monsters.
The steel fist smashed into a terrorist, immediately causing the terrorist's body to sink, the whole person sinking into the mud.
However, the sunken terrorist did not wail; he just opened his mouth and spat out a disgusting bug. As soon as this bug came out, it immediately rushed toward Stark, its tentacles clinging to Stark's steel arm, trying to drill inside.
"Little guy." Stark pulled out his other steel arm, the flamethrower device on the arm aimed at the parasite. "I want to see if you little guys are afraid of fire."
Red flames sprayed out from the flamethrower, instantly covering both the steel arm and the parasite. Only a sizzling sound could be heard, and a scorching fireball fell from Stark's arm.
"It seems you bugs are afraid of fire." Stark laughed excitedly. "Since you are afraid of fire, then I'll give you fire."
Stark operated the flamethrower devices on both arms and sprayed them at the other terrorists rushing up. Only to see one terrorist after another rolling and wailing under the flames, and one parasite after another crawling out of their bodies, trying to escape.
"Want to leave? You disgusting bugs, since you've come, don't leave." Stark increased the power of the flamethrower devices, only to see thicker fire pillars than before spraying out from Stark's arms, covering all the bugs. After the flames subsided, a pile of pitch-black marks remained on the ground.
"Good." Seeing that all the enemies were eliminated, Yinsen immediately became excited. "The Mark I is indeed powerful."
"It is indeed not bad; the flamethrower device is indeed the nemesis of the parasite." Ye Nan praised slightly. No matter how powerful the recovery ability of these zombies parasitized by parasites was, under the flames, it played no role at all.
"If I had a flamethrower device when I faced the Queen back then, maybe I wouldn't have fought so hard."
"Haha, Wesker, aren't you going to play a game? I'm ready. If you have the guts, come out."
Bang!
A small shell hit Stark, causing a violent explosion, and a figure slowly walked in from outside. (PS: Wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Also, my nose has been blocked for the past few days, which is quite uncomfortable. Fellow book friends, be sure to pay attention to wearing more clothes and keeping warm.) ===== CHAPTER 191 =====
