Chapter 609: Communication with Aeo
This is a wondrous planet, where blue gas continuously emanates from within, blending with its protective atmospheric shield to form a blue, canopied umbrella.
Inside the planet, countless lives enjoy the true essence of existence, freely sprinting through the jungles, evading predators and hunting enemies.
The Huloris crocodile is a species native to this planet—massive in size, with sharp teeth and a surface covered in deep blue scales; prey locked by its gaze rarely escapes, making it a top predator in this planet’s food chain.
At this moment, a female Huloris crocodile lay lazily on stones above the river, watching the clusters of crocodile eggs before her that resembled pebbles, then carefully settled onto the ground, motionless.
She waited—for prey to arrive. As a mother guarding her young, she must protect her offspring until they grow, lest they be found and devoured by predators, just like the one before her.
In the jungle before the crocodile, a fiery red wild ox nervously stared at the crocodile—no, accurately, at the crocodile eggs before it.
As a carnivore-omnivore that cannot digest crocodile meat, the ox was utterly tempted by the eggs, desperate to rush forward, smash them all, and devour them.
Yet it dared not. Facing the ferocious Huloris crocodile, it feared that if it tried to steal the eggs, it would become the crocodile’s meal instead.
It retreated cautiously, unable to wait any longer—it dared not match patience with the crocodile; doing so would be pure suicide.
Just as the wild ox prepared to leave, a beam of light descended from above. Startled, the crocodile twisted its body toward the source of the light.
“Perfect chance.” The ox erupted in joy, leaping from the jungle toward the eggs. It resolved to eat just one egg—let the mother crocodile rage; would she dare leave the water?
“Finally showing yourself.” A giant hand swept through the air above the crocodile mother’s head and the ox’s head, rising from the river’s depths.
The giant hand appeared ethereal, like a holographic projection.
As the hand swept past, the crocodile that had turned and the ox that had been running both froze in place, then collapsed into ruin—the animalistic spark in their eyes vanished entirely.
“The soul is still insufficient.” Aeo rose from the riverbed, sighing. Even one of his dignity, in this fallen state, had to set aside the majesty of his former throne and become an ordinary mortal.
At this moment, Aeo was no larger than a common human; the countless heads that had once appeared and vanished were gone. Externally, he appeared merely an ordinary mortal, revealing not a trace of the Supreme Deity’s aura.
“That bitch. She deceived me while scheming behind my back, tricking me into her trap and nearly causing my demise—but this time, I won’t let her off so easily.” Aeo spoke with venom, then immediately stilled his expression.
“But I must first restore my power. Using the coordinates of those two fools, I forcibly transcended endless time to manifest here—yet I still don’t know where this place is.” Aeo extended his palm toward the sky; golden divine power, radiating boundless authority, tore through the void and shattered the planet’s laws. Instantly, the planet began facing its end—unable to withstand Aeo’s pressure.
Beneath the dim sky, animals fled in madness; lightning struck the earth sporadically, igniting sparks that spread into infernos. Occasional spatial rifts became nightmares for all life—each opening swallowed countless beings, like an eternally ravenous beast devouring everything.
“This world…” Aeo retracted his palm, a flicker of astonishment in his eyes. “This galaxy is larger than the Toril Crystal Sphere. And its ruler? That idiot, the Cosmic Emperor.”
“And that idiot Cosmic Emperor still hasn’t been eliminated—he still exists within this galaxy. Perhaps I can exploit him somehow. But who is the chosen one here?”
Aeo closed his eyes, sensing the presence of laws, then used those laws to locate the person he sought.
For him, this method was effortless—he had used it to find Beth and successfully made her his Divine Empress. But that treacherous Beth betrayed him; after uncovering his secrets, she unleashed the Apocalypse, annihilating all life across every plane of the Crystal Sphere, leaving only deities alive.
Even so, even in his fall, he seized one final chance—when Ye Nan observed him through a time-space projection, he seized Ye Nan’s coordinates and sent a fragment of his consciousness here, ultimately ensuring his resurrection in the future.
“Found.”
Aeo snapped open his eyes, his gaze piercing endless void, crossing countless planets, landing beside Ye Nan.
…
“That guy named Aeo must be the final boss of Beth’s galaxy.” Ye Nan analyzed inwardly: “From the power he displayed, it matches the legends perfectly—even weakened to this state, he still managed to seize us, who don’t belong to his timeline, and descend along our coordinates.”
“From Beth’s terrified expression, she clearly fears Aeo’s power—but what does that have to do with me?”
Ye Nan chuckled, shaking his head at his own scheming. “My goal is the Cosmic Emperor. Whether Aeo resurrects or not is irrelevant—he’ll go after Beth anyway. And two tigers can’t share one mountain; perhaps Aeo and the Cosmic Emperor will fight each other.”
“Judging from Aeo’s power, they’re both invincible beings. Beth won only because she used treachery and snatched an advantage—she didn’t defeat him outright. So what is the Cosmic Emperor’s weakness?”
“From the comics, his weakness should be the Leadership Template—but what exactly is a Leadership Template?” Ye Nan crossed his arms, propped his chin, his eyes growing more confused. “The comics say inserting the Leadership Template into the Cosmic Emperor’s body will blow him apart, leaving only his head. But where is Cybertron?”
“Generally, when the Cosmic Emperor emerges, the Transformers should appear too. But according to the Empire’s intelligence, no trace of Transformers has been found in this universe. So where have they all gone?”
The more he thought, the more confused he became; the more he pondered, the more his head ached. With no clues, only guesses, he could not see through the chaotic situation.
“You don’t need to think so much.” A solemn voice suddenly echoed inside the warship, startling Ye Nan into standing. “Who?”
“Come to think of it, I should thank you for providing me with coordinates.” A shadow appeared before Ye Nan—a miniature version of Aeo, about half his size, entirely golden, yet his form remained insubstantial.
“Aeo’s projection?” Ye Nan asked tentatively.
“Correct.” Aeo admitted directly. “Thanks to you, I’ve been able to resurrect in this timeline. I owe you a great debt.”
Having laid down his imperial dignity, Aeo grew cunning. With the word “thank you,” he drew closer to Ye Nan, then said: “You probably don’t know how cruel that vile woman, Beth, truly is.”
“I don’t know,” Ye Nan feigned confusion, while internally calculating: “He clearly knows me—but he seems unaware of what Beth did. Of course—he’s just resurrected, and Beth is equally skilled in the laws. He can’t easily spy on her.”
Ye Nan plotted inwardly: “Your Majesty Aeo, I’ve cooperated well with Beth. She even promised that once I become the Master of Science Fiction, we’d form a formal alliance—and made me swear by my true heart.”
“Swear by your true heart?” Aeo’s eyes widened, then his face twisted with fury. “You’ve been deceived.”
“Deceived?” Ye Nan’s face turned pale with shock. “How? I swore the oath—she couldn’t possibly deceive me.”
“She absolutely will deceive you.” Aeo spoke with exasperation. “Let me tell you plainly: a true-heart oath is an immensely powerful vow. Its binding force lies not in external power, but in the self. You allied with her—did she swear anything?”
“She didn’t…” Ye Nan murmured, a flicker of doubt crossing his face. “Have I really been deceived?”
“Yes. You’ve been deceived.” Aeo affirmed. “Once you become the Master of Science Fiction, you’ll face two choices. As your ally, Beth can use your true-heart oath to make the choice for you—forcing you onto the same path as her.”
Upon becoming the Master of Science Fiction, one must choose: either obey that being’s command to rescue him, or defeat and seal him. Either way, one must confront that being—facing immense peril.
“I’ll tell you plainly: the one who selected you is an entity of terrifying power—stronger than even us. Had he not been trapped by this universe’s supermassive black hole, he would’ve already emerged and turned this universe into his domain.”
“Then what should we do?” Ye Nan’s face showed panic, like an ant on a hot pan, frantically circling. (To be continued.)
