Chapter 620: The Submission of the Mechanical Tiger
“My perfect skin, my handsome face—damn you, you deserve to die.”
A low voice echoed in Ye Nan’s ear as the mechanical tiger stepped back, and its first words upon returning were to vent its fury.
“I, the Noble White Tiger, dignified and elegant, handsome and admired—now reduced to this? You bastard…”
The mechanical tiger was enraged; with every step, it crushed the ground beneath it, leaving behind a small footprint.
Know this: the soil of this metal planet was no true earth—it was piled high with all kinds of metals. Without immense strength and a body hardened by metal, leaving a footprint was nearly impossible.
“Mechanical life is indeed formidable.” The Terminator’s gaze sharpened with caution; its previously hollow left hand retracted. Since even the charged particle cannon had failed to harm the mechanical tiger, further particle attacks would be useless.
Click-clack!
The mechanical tiger’s paw crushed the mechanical mouse beneath it, reducing it to shards, then it strode before the Terminator and growled low.
“Die.”
No sooner had the words left its mouth than the mechanical tiger lunged forward. Its sharp claws tore through the air with a piercing explosion—clearly the result of its power ripping through the atmosphere.
Data flickered rapidly in the Terminator’s eyes. It raised its hand, intercepting the tiger’s claw mid-swing. A screeching sound, like nails on glass, made the ears ache. Sparks erupted along the Terminator’s forearm.
Looking down, the Terminator saw several deep gashes—so deep they exposed bone. Had it been human…
“How’s my claw? The title ‘Noble White Tiger’ isn’t just for show.” The mechanical tiger, pleased with its strike, strutted with what it believed to be noble grace, surveying its prey like a noble emperor surveying kneeling subjects.
It was no emperor, but it was close. As the dominant force in this region, every tribe bowed before it. Every mechanical beast lowered its noble head. Even the occasional challengers knelt after its attack.
It believed this glowing-blue creature would likewise bow, and submit to it. This was its confidence—or rather, its past experience.
But this time, it was wrong. The Terminator had no intention of submitting. Its arm subtly liquefied, dripping downward, then flowed back up—and the wounds were gone.
“Hardened steel can shift into liquid form for attack.” The Terminator’s intelligence core continuously analyzed the mechanical tiger’s combat patterns. Once analysis was complete, it began to reshape itself.
Flesh writhed and retracted into liquid metal. In an instant, the Terminator transformed from a human-like robot into a fully silver-white liquid machine.
The mechanical tiger’s claws were razor-sharp. No amount of the Terminator’s natural defense could withstand them. So it shifted form—from solid to liquid. Now, it could not be harmed.
Like water, when struck, it parted—and recombined after the blow, leaving no trace. Moreover, the planet’s extreme cold greatly aided the Terminator’s liquid form.
“Huh? What is this?”
The mechanical tiger stared at the altered Terminator, utterly baffled.
“Liquid attack.” The Terminator extended its hand and seized the mechanical tiger, right at its face.
Splash!
As soon as the Terminator gripped it, the mechanical tiger slashed its claw—severing the Terminator’s arm. But to its shock, the severed arm wriggled twice, then crawled up its own body.
“What are these things?” The mechanical tiger tilted its head, watching the silver liquid creep over its body. It swiped at a patch and flung it away—but new liquid immediately filled the gap. Soon, its entire body was coated in silver, while the Terminator before it remained unchanged.
“The difference between flesh and liquid metal is that flesh regenerates endlessly, especially with sufficient energy.” Ye Nan watched the scene and smiled. “The fusion of flesh and liquid metal grants the latter this same trait. This is the perfect union of mechanical and biological technology.”
“What are these things?!” The mechanical tiger stomped the ground in agitation, punishing it. Now, its entire body was covered in silver metal, swollen and bloated. The noble, elegant White Tiger was gone—replaced by a round, silver, blob-like creature.
“These are liquid metal—the Terminator’s very body. Its particle cannon and intelligence core are both made of this substance. As for its function—you’ll see soon.” Ye Nan’s gaze swept over the panicked mechanical tiger, watching the liquid metal seep into its belly and forcibly extract its core flame.
“My core flame!”
The mechanical tiger screamed, desperately trying to swing its claws—but it quickly realized it could not move. Its whole body had gone numb.
Fear drowned out rage. Its lips trembled. “What’s happening? Why can’t I move?”
“The liquid metal has seeped into your body and fused with your metallic structure. You are me, and I am you. That’s why you cannot move.” The Terminator’s cold mechanical voice delivered the answer. Simultaneously, its most terrifying attack was ready.
“According to my intelligence core’s calculations, a particle cannon charged with all my energy, detonating inside your body, will shatter you into fragments. But I will give you one chance.”
Blue light began gathering within the mechanical tiger’s body. Its core contained immense energy—once detonated, it would reduce the tiger to dust.
“What chance?” The mechanical tiger stared at the Terminator in disbelief—then burst into wild relief. Though furious over the loss of its core flame, life was more precious.
“Kneel before His Majesty.”
“I agree.” (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, please visit Qidian () to cast recommendation votes or monthly votes. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
