Chapter 641: Because I Haven
The planet-sized head closed its mouth, still wearing a smile.
“Finally victorious—now they have no means left to resurrect.”
“Of course…”
Before Ai O could finish speaking, the face of the Cosmic Emperor changed instantly; a small hole was violently torn open at the back of its skull, and Ye Nan and the Sage of Wisdom flew out through it.
“Pathetic body,” the Sage of Wisdom cursed, still seething over his own humiliation.
Inside the Cosmic Emperor’s body was endless analytical force—not digestive fluids or other energy types, but pure analytical force that had been disassembling their bodies since the moment they entered, breaking them down into the most primitive particles.
In just that brief moment, their bodies were nearly fully disassembled; had Ye Nan not used the Cosmic Shredder to pierce through the Cosmic Emperor’s body at the critical instant, they would have been completely converted into energy.
“Die, you bastard—Great Rend!” The Sage of Wisdom unleashed all his dark energy to activate Great Rend; an immense tearing force immediately descended upon the Cosmic Emperor’s head, and his body began slowly being stretched into chunks of metal.
“How could this happen?” The Cosmic Emperor stared at his own body, watching the metal continuously leaking away—parts of himself.
“So powerful?” The Sage of Wisdom hadn’t expected Great Rend to be this strong—a one-shot kill. Absolutely awesome.
“This effect?” Ye Nan stared at the Cosmic Emperor in surprise, though he soon understood why.
The Cosmic Emperor’s body had long been riddled with holes—shattered by the Cosmic Explosion, then further damaged by Great Rend, and finally perforated by the Cosmic Shredder. He was already on the brink of collapse; the Sage of Wisdom’s Great Rend was merely the final straw.
“How is this possible? How could I die? I am the strongest among all the Saints—even Hong Jun couldn’t defeat me.”
“I have the greatest strength, the greatest defense—how could I possibly die?”
“It’s you—you used underhanded tactics, the Leader Template. This whole thing was your conspiracy.”
The Cosmic Emperor roared furiously, his body continuously breaking apart; the metal composing his form leaked out into space, drifting and gradually becoming cosmic debris.
“Roar all you want,” Ye Nan sneered. “You’ve already lost.”
“I will never lose—I will never fail!” The Cosmic Emperor vanished from his spot and reappeared beside Ye Nan. “Even if I die, I’ll take you with me.”
Red light flickered as immense energy violently coalesced. Ye Nan faintly saw within it the primordial form of the universe—chaos, all things undifferentiated.
“How is this possible?” Ye Nan’s pupils dilated—he remembered the Cosmic Emperor couldn’t teleport. How could he now?
“Damn it—the Cosmic Emperor’s going for a suicide blast!” Ai O’s body instantly vanished into the air; before leaving, he still struck at Ye Nan and the others, sealing space with divine power to trap them with no escape.
“Shit!” The Sage of Wisdom fled as fast as he could from the Cosmic Emperor—but a faster energy wave engulfed him, followed by a silent, brilliant explosion spreading across the cosmos.
“Damn it! Even in death you try to screw us over, Ai O—I’ll remember this!” Ye Nan roared, his body crumbling layer by layer before vanishing entirely.
Boom!
The explosion finally shattered the Milky Way’s laws; the sound propagated through the vacuum, swallowing countless meteors and planets. A mass of energy larger than the Solar System unleashed its fury—every planet it touched met certain death.
After an unknown length of time, the energy mass slowly retracted, compressed into a single point—and a black hole was born.
“They’re all dead?” Ai O flew in from afar, staring at the scene before him, still unable to believe it.
Because the area had been ravaged by energy, he dared not teleport here, forced to use the oldest form of flight—wasting precious time. By the time he arrived, the energy mass had vanished, leaving only a black hole.
“If they’re all dead… could I claim this galaxy for myself?” A thought suddenly surfaced in Ai O’s mind, followed by ecstatic joy.
“This galaxy is mine. I will replace the Cosmic Emperor and become the ruler of the Milky Way.”
He now understood just how vast the Milky Way was—compared to it, the Luo Shengmen World, the Honghuang World, and the Toril System all seemed tiny.
Though here matter dominated over energy and technology governed the laws, without any rivals, he could still gain immense benefits.
Thinking of this, Ai O smiled faintly. “Looks like my luck is good.”
“Your luck is good—but your fortune ends here.” A cold laugh echoed through the air as Bess appeared slowly in the sky, her harp in hand.
“A clone? No—it’s your true body. How could your true body possibly be here?” Ai O stared at Bess in disbelief.
Though he longed to flay this bitch alive, facing her now—especially in this form—made him hesitate.
He had only just revived; though he’d accumulated some divine power, it had all been utterly spent in the previous battle. Meanwhile, Bess had become the Lord of Magic. The balance had shifted—he had no chance of victory.
“Bess, why are you here so fast?” A blade of light shot through the air, and a young man in a Daoist robe, with sword-like brows and starlit eyes, stepped out from the light, smiling at Bess.
“Xu Sibo, Fu Shan Meixue—you’re not slow either,” said a woman with a pallid face, clad in white robes stained with blood, her long hair veiling her features, as she stepped across empty space.
“You’re all here so quickly?” Bess saw them arrive and realized her plan to profit from their deaths had failed. “But…”
Bess scanned the surroundings—there was only one problem here, no easy gains. She’d come here in error.
“How can all of you be here? Has the Crystal Wall vanished? Impossible—the Chosen Ones are all dead. They’ve failed.”
“Because I haven’t died yet.” (To be continued.)
