Chapter 122: Lu Yu Effect

The day after the interview with Lu Yu ended, the whole country knew a piece of news.

Huaxia produced a monster-like genius.

The front-page headline of the Jingdu Daily read: The Difference Between Genius and Monster.

Yesterday, we interviewed this year's College Entrance Exam Top Scorer.

Everyone should have heard that this year's College Entrance Exam Top Scorer obtained it with a perfect score.

What a perfect score in the National College Entrance Examination specifically means, everyone probably has their own idea.

This is almost an impossible task.

For this, we specially sought out the exam grader.

The exam grader's evaluation of Lu Yu's test paper was: flawless.

As for that…… we have nothing to say.

In yesterday's interview with the College Entrance Exam Top Scorer Lu Yu, our reporter was greatly shocked.

Probably before seeing Lu Yu, no one would believe that the student who could get a perfect score on the National College Entrance Examination was actually only seven years old!

Yes, you didn't misread, Lu Yu is really only seven years old, a child; under normal circumstances, he might have just started school at this time.

But he truly is the College Entrance Exam Top Scorer.

This is a shocking piece of news.

This is a genius that transcends the era.

No! Just as the headline said, Lu Yu is no longer within the realm of genius; he is a monster, a monster-like genius.

But if you think that's all there is to Lu Yu, you are completely mistaken.

Lu Yu is not only a learning genius, but also a game planner.

Over the past year, everyone should have played two games.

Plants vs. Zombies and Legend.

Even if you haven't played them, you've surely heard of these two games.

Yes!

These two games were both made by Lu Yu!

Without a doubt, seeing this, everyone will think this is not a fact.

But this is the fact!

Our newspaper has verified the truth of these news through multiple sources.

Moreover, we must mention Lu Yu's family here.

Probably upon seeing this, everyone will think Lu Yu comes from some aristocratic family, right?

But!

This is the strangest part: Lu Yu was born into a poor family, raised only by his mother.

His mother was even just a cleaner not long ago!

Yes, all of Lu Yu's current achievements are through his own efforts.

Writing this, the author's heart still cannot help but be deeply shaken.

This story…… is truly too bizarre.

Even the most imaginative writer would not dare to write it this way.

But this is the fact!

This is what I have always emphasized: facts, facts, facts, with no water, no half a lie—pure fact!

Everyone knows that at the end of an article, the author usually wants to elevate the theme, and will tend to use some uplifting words to conclude.

But now, the author really doesn't know what to write.

Everyone, don't complain about your life; as long as you work hard, you will surely have a day to rise?

Such chicken soup, using Lu Yu to argue, is probably not appropriate, right?

Hard work, really can reach Lu Yu's height?

This is a despair-inducing monster!

The Jingdu Daily's final sentence actually sums up the author's thoughts.

Not only the Jingdu Daily, but all media that interviewed Lu Yu yesterday also reported on Lu Yu today.

Without a doubt, all media used the two words "genius".

But genius is absolutely not the core of their reporting.

Because all media feel that Lu Yu is no longer a genius.

What is a genius?

Genius often describes a kind of potential.

But is what Lu Yu demonstrates merely potential?

What he has accomplished now is something that many people could not achieve even after several lifetimes of effort!

This is ability!

……

In this era, a large part of people's sources of information still relies on newspapers.

Therefore, after various newspapers published their reports on Lu Yu……

Almost immediately, the whole country knew the name Lu Yu.

Moreover, they were shocked by the reports.

At first, no one believed it was true, after all it was too unbelievable.

Then……

They had no choice but to believe it was true, because all the newspapers were talking about this matter.

Even this matter made it onto the news, onto television!

Then……

How come you don't even have one-tenth of Lu Yu's ability? If you had even one-tenth of Lu Yu's, I wouldn't have to worry about your future.

Look at others, then look at yourselves? A seven-year-old child has already reached the pinnacle of life, while we...? Truly shameful!

Is Lu Yu even human? What on earth is growing in his head?

Truly impressive, since ancient times heroes emerge from youth, but Lu Yu isn't even a youth yet!

Almost the entire nation's people are discussing Lu Yu.

Nowadays, when people go out, if they don't mention a thing or two related to Lu Yu, it seems as if they've fallen behind the times.

……

Holy crap! Turns out Plants vs. Zombies and Legend were made by Lu Yu? The game we've been playing is actually made by a seven-year-old?

What can we say? We can only say 'awesome'!

By the way, isn't Grand about to launch a new game? It seems to be called Hero Kill? Is this game also made by Lu Yu?

Yes, I saw some related information about Hero Kill; the producer of Hero Kill is Lu Yu.

Never mind, let's first register a Penguin account. When this game is released, I want to play it right away.

Exactly, I didn't know Lu Yu before, but now I do! How could I possibly miss a game made by Lu Yu?

I don't have so many thoughts; I just want to get a little closer to Lu Yu, gain some luck, so that my college entrance exam scores can be a bit better.

On Weibo and various forums, almost everyone is discussing Lu Yu.

By the way, they are all gamers.

So……

……

Shen City, inside a certain Teng company.

Mr. Ma was researching Penguin optimization.

General Manager, it's not good, it's not good! Suddenly, Mr. Ma heard an urgent shout from outside.

What's happened? Mr. Ma immediately stopped what he was doing and looked toward the door.

Our Penguin server has crashed! the person said.

Mr. Ma's first reaction was not fear or panic, but rather he was stunned.

Because... he found the situation too ridiculous.

Because of Lu Yu's investment, Mr. Ma can now be said to have sufficient capital, so he rented several more servers, expanding Penguin's capacity.

Under these circumstances, how could Penguin's server possibly crash?

Unless over a million new users appear at the same time.

But is that possible?
