Chapter 252: Reversal

"What on earth happened!" Xiao Ma said in a deep voice.

Lao Zhang hurriedly said, "Lao Ma, look... look at these numbers quickly!"

"Our Penguin's daily active user data!"

Lao Zhang grabbed Xiao Ma, pointing at a display screen, his voice still trembling, his emotions extremely excited.

Xiao Ma did not look at the screen immediately, but took a deep breath.

Xiao Ma could already guess what they would see next.

Penguin's daily active count plummeted, being left far behind by Mutual.

The so‑called daily active count is essentially a measure of daily activity.

For a social app like Penguin, download numbers are not the sole—or even a proper—standard for judging its value.

It's like the so‑called traffic celebrities that later emerged; their fan counts can easily reach tens of millions, but how many are truly active?

Daily active count directly measures the true value of the Penguin social app.

How many users log in each day, and how many actions do they take after logging into Penguin?

The former reflects current user loyalty, the latter indicates user stickiness.

At this moment, Xiao Ma had steadied their mindset, ready to face the harsh reality, and fixed their gaze on the screen.

Then…

Xiao Ma couldn't help closing their eyes, shaking their head vigorously, then looked back at the screen.

Xiao Ma was stunned, and after a while turned to Lao Zhang, saying, "Lao Zhang… is this our Penguin daily active count? You aren't mixing Mutual's daily active count with ours, are you?"

Lao Zhang suddenly laughed, saying, "I knew you'd have that doubt."

"But what kind of person am I, Lao Zhang? How could I make such a basic mistake?"

"This is yesterday's Penguin daily active count!"

Xiao Ma was stunned again, opened their mouth, but didn't know what to say.

"Isn't it amazing? I think so too."

"You might not have noticed… not just yesterday, but also the day before and the day before that, our daily active count exceeded the previous level by more than double!"

As Lao Zhang kept speaking, his face became filled with excitement.

It truly was something worth getting excited about, even something to celebrate.

But Xiao Ma had indeed matured over this period; excitement was excitement, yet they held back and asked, "What exactly happened? Why this change?"

Xiao Ma suddenly thought of many things.

If such activity level carried any hidden risk, it would be better not to have it.

Lao Zhang took a deep breath and said, "I had already done some research before coming to find you."

"In the end I reached a conclusion that surprised me immensely."

"Space Farm."

"Huh?" Xiao Ma was stunned again.

In his mind he had already simulated countless possibilities, even some utterly unreliable ideas, but never considered anything involving Space Farm.

"What… exactly is going on?"

"I've been monitoring online discourse these past two days, even watching major portal sites constantly, yet I've seen no information about Space Farm!"

"Without any buzz or heat, how could it cause such a huge impact?"

Xiao Ma asked hurriedly.

Lao Zhang gave a wry smile and said, "I… how would I know?"

"I'm just a data and analytics person; how could I know about operations?"

"But I can confirm that the recent rise in user activity is due to Space Farm."

"All traffic changes stem from Space Farm."

"As for why?"

"Don't ask me."

"Perhaps… we could ask the boss?"

"Honestly, I'm really curious now!"

Lao Zhang's eyes lit up again as he kept speaking.

Xiao Ma fell silent again.

Xiao Ma… still couldn't make any effective judgment.

But now Xiao Ma could be clear about one thing: the little game Lu Yu designed gave Penguin a qualitative leap!

In the current situation, Penguin doesn't need to fear Mutual at all.

Considering Huaxia's netizens are only this many, they're all active on Penguin; how can they be active on Mutual?

But… all this happened because of such a tiny game?

Back then… or rather just a few days ago, including Xiao Ma, all Penguin executives unanimously thought Space Farm could bring no benefit to Penguin.

Even now… if the real data weren't laid out, probably no one would believe it.

So…

How did all this actually happen?

Space Farm truly… was a game so tiny it couldn't be smaller, with almost no investment and no one paying attention.

In the end Xiao Ma could only draw one conclusion.

Lu Yu… really is a person who can create miracles!

"Get all executives into the conference room right now; let's hold a meeting."

Since the boss's judgment was correct again, we need to expand our victory!

It must be said, Xiao Ma has really improved a lot compared to before, already having the bearing of a leader, and has taken big steps toward becoming a successful entrepreneur.

……

Hidden Dragon Technology General Manager Office

What's going on?

Why has our user activity dropped so sharply over these three days?

Every day, aside from the stable sign-in activity maintaining sufficient activity...

Could it be that users log in, do Mutual sign-in, and then immediately log out?

Bruce's expression turned grave as he stared at the General Manager and asked directly.

The General Manager's mouth twitched wildly; he also had no idea what was going on!

Since Mutual went live, its upward trend has been good, and there hasn't been any scandal.

Mutual's operations and technical staff have been monitoring Mutual around the clock.

Really! Nothing has gone wrong at all.

The General Manager even visited most portal sites, followed various news, and still found nothing abnormal!

"We can't find the cause..." the General Manager finally could only say this with gritted teeth.

"You..." Bruce wanted to curse, but... he ultimately couldn't bring himself to do it.

This is the most inefficient method.

Then... the office returned to silence.

"What's been happening with Penguin these days?" Bruce looked again at the General Manager.

If there really is a problem somewhere, it must be Penguin's side!

"No..."

"As of now, Penguin has only set up a Space Farm and has taken no further action."

The General Manager quickly said.

The office fell into silence once again.

Bruce's expression grew increasingly grave.

The current situation...... really leaves one baffled!

Exactly where is the problem?
