Chapter 273: The World's First Game Developer?

Guo Cheng really found it hard to accept Lu Yu's current attitude.

Can a game that is convincing worldwide just be made if you want to make it?

This is the battle for the title of the world's number one game developer!

Lu Yu had just heard about this, with no preparation time at all, yet he confidently agreed and is about to start working on it?

Lu Yu smiled and said, "Rest assured? In game development, I have absolute confidence."

"Believe me, the game I make this time will be better than any game I've made before, and will be liked by all players worldwide."

Lu Yu's words are not wrong, because the game he is preparing to make is League of Legends!

How popular is this game?

All that can be said is that after several seasons, it remains the world's most popular game.

Believe that even a hundred years from now, someone will still know it.

Because in the gaming world it is a milestone that cannot be avoided.

And this world doesn't even have Dota!

Therefore, League of Legends' influence in this world will surely be even greater, possibly even becoming a god of the gaming world!

Lu Yu has no reason not to be full of confidence in himself, nor any reason not to believe in League of Legends.

Seeing Lu Yu full of confidence, Guo Cheng momentarily didn't know what to say.

If Lu Yu were someone else, Guo Cheng would surely raise doubts now.

But this person is Lu Yu!

Up to now, Lu Yu has never failed.

All the games he has made are classics, none of them unpopular.

"In that case... I believe you!" Guo Cheng gritted his teeth and said.

He also has a lot at stake.

If Lu Yu fails this time, his overseas strength could be greatly reduced.

But... since choosing to believe in Lu Yu, Guo Cheng will not retreat, will not hesitate!

……

Grand and Penguin have made big moves.

On Grand's official website, a cover poster appeared.

"Lu Yu will challenge for the title of the world's number one game developer!"

This is the poster's title; below the title is a brief background of the matter.

The background is naturally the global game developer competition hosted by Dan Ding.

Just such a poster, just such a title, instantly sparked heated discussion across the entire internet.

"Holy crap! What on earth is Lu Yu trying to do! Actually challenging for the world's number one game developer!"

"What should I say now? Say Lu Yu lacks ability and is overconfident? But... how do I feel that Lu Yu actually does have this ability?"

"I don't know why, but I suddenly felt fired up. World's number one game developer!"

"I don't care about anything else; supporting Lu Yu is enough!"

"Lu Yu, keep it up—I will definitely support you."

"I've already told my classmates studying abroad that if there's any news overseas, they'll let me know right away."

Netizens are all excited.

But this is not the end.

Penguin also made a move.

Penguin did even more.

Penguin gave up all ads, and placed Lu Yu's news on all of its pages.

Even in Penguin's games, there are also ads for Lu Yu.

Even so, on the pop‑up page, in Penguin's chat pop‑up……

Netizens are almost going crazy.

"Lu Yu…… is serious! He is now telling the whole world that he wants to become the world's number one game developer!"

"I can hardly imagine what the consequences would be if Lu Yu loses."

"Originally I was excited, but now... I actually feel a bit afraid."

"If Lu Yu loses, what will he do?"

"Is he betting his entire life on this?"

Just as everyone was talking like that, even more explosive news arrived.

Lu Yu appeared on Mo Du TV, giving his first television interview.

In the interview, the reporter asked: "Mr. Lu Yu, what is the intention behind this action? Are you really betting your life on this game development?"

Lu Yu smiled at the camera and said: "You can think that."

"As for my motive……"

"All along, foreign technology has led our domestic technology; this is an indisputable fact."

"But I think it's time for this world to have some changes."

"I can't do anything else, but I still have some confidence in game development."

"So let our game lead the world first."

"I believe this is a great start, the start of our comprehensive awakening."

Lu Yu's interview was even rebroadcast by CCTV!

By this point, it can be said that the whole of Huaxia knows about this matter.

Everyone's gaze was directed at Mo Du, at Grand, and at Lu Yu.

The heat of this matter has also reached an unprecedented height.

In a sense, this is no longer just a game contest!

At least in some circles, that's the case.

……

Mi Guo, inside a certain Club.

Dan Ding already knew about the stir Lu Yu had caused in Huaxia.

In fact, now in Mi Guo, and even in some developed countries around the world, the news that Lu Yu is challenging to become the top game creator has already spread.

This is naturally Guo Cheng's doing.

Since we're doing it, we should do it grandly, with no regrets!

At this moment, Dan Ding's mood is really unpleasant!

It's Lu Yu again!

He was just preparing to cut his losses, but Lu Yu jumped out and happened to leap right in front of him.

If it were before, Dan Ding would surely be full of disdain, saying "overestimating one's abilities," but now……

Dan Ding really doesn't have that confidence anymore.

Although he has indeed hired the best game developers, and although he has already prepared ample resources for them, but……

The opponent is Lu Yu!

At least in game development, Lu Yu's talent cannot be denied by anyone.

But……

This is actually also an opportunity for Dan Ding.

The world's top game creator?

This is a definite title!

But will there be an absolute standard for whether a game is good or bad?

No!

In other words, there simply won't be any such thing as a world's top game creator!

In other words, Dan Ding doesn't really need to beat Lu Yu this time; even losing is fine as long as he doesn't lose by too much.

Dan Ding has hired the world's most capable game developers—how could they possibly be far inferior to Lu Yu?

So this time, it's Dan Ding who wins!

Without a doubt!

Lu Yu is asking for death himself—what can Dan Ding do about it?

Hahaha……

Dan Ding's mood has improved again, better than ever before.

The gloom from previously losing to Lu Yu has now been swept away!
