Chapter 843: Death of the Heart Fox Elder

At this moment, the Heart Fox Elder was somewhat ferocious; she had devoted her life to the Fox Clan, but in the end, the Chief collaborated with humans.

The Fox Clan has always been independent, refusing to coexist with humans.

How many Fox Clan maidens were captured by humans and made slaves, and how many Fox Clan members died at human hands? These years, this happens every year; most of the Heart Fox Elder's parents and friends have been killed by humans.

If it weren't for humans, she would not be like this.

Therefore, she hates humans; anyone who cooperates with humans or has ties to them is her enemy, just like the Black Fox Elder, she wants to kill every Fox Clan traitor.

If it weren't for Hu Jiuwei's overwhelming strength, they wouldn't be a match; how could Hu Yueer and the others survive? Those two children would have been killed long ago, wouldn't be alive today, and the Black Fox Elder wouldn't have died.

The Black Fox Elder was killed by humans, but the Chief didn't kill Chen Chuyang; instead, he wanted to cooperate with him and even enter the Fox Clan Grotto-Heaven, which the Heart Fox Elder could not tolerate, so she sought a way to kill them.

Since the Chief betrayed the Fox Clan, please go die.

"I didn't cooperate with humans; I only did it for the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox bloodline—he's merely someone I used."

Hu Jiuwei spoke to explain; she knew this feeble explanation was useless, but she still wanted to say a thing or two.

The Fox Clan Grotto-Heaven is dangerous; besides Chen Chuyang, other Fox Clan members cannot enter or help her; the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox bloodline can suppress all Fox Clan bloodlines, rendering them unable to resist, making entry into the Fox Clan Grotto-Heaven pointless.

Other demon beasts, Hu Jiuwei doesn't trust, or perhaps the secrets of the Fox Clan Grotto-Heaven must not be leaked; she also worries other demon beasts might stab her in the back, in which case Hu Jiuwei would be better off not entering the Fox Clan Grotto-Heaven.

The reason for choosing Chen Chuyang is simply that he still has a good reputation; Hu Jiuwei has investigated this.

Furthermore, Chen Chuyang is relatively strong and easy on the eyes—that's all.

Human bloodline does not fear the suppression of the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox bloodline; facts prove this person is truly a capable assistant—if not for that incident, this Fox Clan Grotto-Heaven expedition could be called utterly perfect.

"Chief, the facts are before you; do you think you can deceive me?"

"I'm not like those Fox Clan members; whatever you say goes, my eyes tell me you've cooperated with this human."

"Furthermore, I've seen everything between you two."

"Chief, are you going to deceive yourself and others?"

Hu Jiuwei fell silent.

That scene, if she had seen it, then wouldn't she herself be...?

She opened her mouth, wanting to explain; at this moment, explanation was feeble and powerless.

Hu Jiuwei sighed: "You have this misunderstanding; I understand you. If you wanted to kill us, why not act outside? Why wait until entering the Fox Clan Grotto-Heaven to move, and even summon the Tianwai Demon King to hunt us?"

"Aren't you afraid the Fox Clan will be annihilated because of your single thought?"

The Tianwai Demon King is not human; once they set their sights on something, they will directly wipe out the Fox Clan.

Their ruthlessness is even more vicious than you imagine.

The Heart Fox Elder gave a cold smile: "So what? Better to be wiped out by a demon king than to become human slaves."

"Moreover, the Eight-Eyed Demon King will not annihilate the Fox Clan; he will lead the Fox Clan to its peak."

"After you die, I will become the new Fox Clan Queen, lead the Fox Clan, guide it toward Tianwai, and no longer need to shrink back in this place."

"By then, I can kill all humans here, letting them know the Fox Clan cannot be trifled with."

Hu Jiuwei stared at her deeply, sighed: "You're crazy, Heart Fox Elder."

"The greatest enemy of our world is the Tianwai Strong One, yet you have become their lackey—have you forgotten?"

"How many Fox Clan members have been killed by the Tianwai Monster Race; their words cannot be trusted."

"By doing this, you will drive the Fox Clan into an abyss of eternal ruin."

Upon hearing this, the Heart Fox Elder gave a slight, contemptuous smile: "The wrong one is you, Hu Jiuwei, not me."

"Tianwai is immensely powerful; even if we could obtain a bit of resources, we could rise swiftly."

"Compared to following this human, who knows how much better; you have already been conquered by this man, body and soul."

"Your eyes see only yourself, not the Fox Clan; you are unworthy to be the Fox Clan Queen."

The Heart Fox Elder lifted her head and puffed her chest; at this moment, she had no awareness of being a prisoner.

Even if imprisoned, even if suppressed, she would still not bow her head.

A mere human, a mere Chen Chuyang, is not worth her lowering her head.

The proud Fox Clan has never bowed its head to humans.

"Human, you killed the Eight-Eyed Demon King; you will die miserably, the Eight-Eyed Clan will not let you go."

"Wait and see; the Eight-Eyed Clan will soon come for you, and then it will be your time of death."

Chen Chuyang gave a cold smile: "Eight-Eyed Clan? Do they dare to come down?"

"Come one, I'll kill one."

"Come two, I'll kill a pair."

"If the Eight-Eyed Clan dares to come down en masse, I don't mind sending their whole clan on their way; it's fitting that the lone Eight-Eyed Demon King on the Yellow Spring Road, lonely and desolate, might be a bit happier with his kin's company."

The Heart Fox Elder shook her head, still looking down on Chen Chuyang.

"Who do you think you are? Human, the might of Tianwai is beyond your comprehension."

"You are indeed strong, but only in this world; leave this world and you are nothing."

"A frog in the well never knows how vast heaven and earth are, nor how terrifying Tianwai is."

Chen Chuyang shrugged, having lost patience with the Heart Fox Elder; this person has been thoroughly brainwashed and would attack them even if released.

Her heart is filled only with the might of Tianwai, lacking her own strength.

No matter how many chances given her, the result is always the same.

"How should we deal with her?"

"Kill her." Hu Jiuwei said, then closed her eyes, having completely despaired of the Heart Fox Elder.

This woman is no longer worth saving; her death would be a good thing.

For her, for the Fox Clan, and for Chen Chuyang, it is all good.

"Good."

Chen Chuyang had been waiting for these words; he still thought Hu Jiuwei would soften, but it seems he underestimated this woman.

As expected of the Fox Clan's chieftain, at the critical moment she was still… very decisive.

Heishanyang heard those words, came over obediently, and swayed its tail.

"Wait." The Heart Fox Elder panicked; under the shroud of death, she could no longer maintain her haughtiness.

But Chen Chuyang gave her no chance to speak; Pill Fire blazed, refining demons into pills.

A seamless, fluid motion.

"Ah ah!"

The shrill cries were drowned by the flames; quickly, the Heart Fox Elder's essence condensed into a mass.

It formed a pill, which was tossed to Heishanyang as a reward.

Heishanyang finally got the long‑craved good thing, and satisfiedly said, "You're still decent, kid, rewarding the old man."

It was not in vain for it to use its supernatural powers to help Chen Chuyang, and it also helped him obtain two beauties.
