Chapter 114: Qu's Status Restored: Charlie, Do Me One Last Favor!

~13 min read 2,419 words

Charlie's arrogant declaration of war was like an antimatter bomb dropped into the calm lake of the multiverse, stirring not ripples but a cataclysmic dimensional storm.

Across all heavens and myriad worlds, the fury of every human civilization that witnessed this scene instantly boiled over.

…

Land of Light, Universe Guard Headquarters.

The atmosphere felt so oppressive it seemed to squeeze out dark matter.

Ultraman Father's eyes, which had witnessed hundreds of thousands of years of storms, now flickered with unprecedented anger and disappointment.

"I was wrong."

Ultraman Father's voice was low, yet it made the entire guard unit hum with resonance,

"I originally thought it was just a pitiful creature, lacking love due to its origins, arming itself with extremist rhetoric."

"But I never imagined that beneath that rational facade lay not inferiority, but the arrogant ambition of a militarist seeking to enslave and exterminate its own kind!"

"Outrageous!"

With a roar, Ultraman Ace could no longer contain his fury; his body blazed with red markings like a hot iron, he raised his right hand, and an ultimate beheading sword, its edge flickering with destructive aura, took shape.

"Brother! Don't stop me this time!"

Ultraman Ace roared at Ultraman Seabow,

"This guy is no longer an internal dispute—he's declared war on all humanity! How can we just stand by?"

Ultraman Seabow said nothing, but as he slowly took the head spear from his brow, its scorching edge hotter than a star already revealed his stance.

This time, he will not endure.

Universal law and the laws of the Land of Light?

What does it matter if we break them a few more times?

…

Warhammer 40K Universe, Holy Terra.

Upon the Golden Throne, the withered remains of the ten‑thousand‑year‑old Emperor erupted in a psychic storm that made the entire Warp tremble.

【Even a monkey dares to claim divinity?】

【To treat humanity's weakness and betrayal as spoils of war?】

【Blasphemy!!!】

The next second,

Roboute Guilliman received the Emperor's crystal‑clear will in his mind.

Guilliman sprang to his feet, and the holy flame of the Emperor's Sword shot skyward.

"Relay my orders!" His icy voice rang through the fleet: "All expedition forces, retarget! Coordinates: Darwin Incident Universe!"

"The Judgment Court's menial tasks—we, the expedition army, have taken care of them."

"Purge that planet, bring back the skulls of those two monkeys, and offer them to the throne!"

…

Stellaris Human Federation, Fourth Fleet.

On the bridge of the flagship Fearless Glory, a pin drop could be heard.

Grand Admiral Sidney Bockléar stared expressionlessly at the screen's grinning ape face, neither shouting nor smashing anything.

She merely pressed the communications button lightly.

"All ships, cancel the return‑to‑rest plan."

"Having just finished clearing out Qu, everyone happens to be combat‑ready."

Sidney's lips curled into a cold arc; her eyes held no anger, only the indifference of one regarding trash.

"Having disposed of one kind of trash, it's the perfect moment to handle another."

"All fleets, charge the jump drives—target: Darwin Incident Universe. This time we won't just blast it; I want the marines to rip that green flag from their presidential palace and shove it down the monkey's throat."

…

Trisolaran Fleet.

"Supreme Leader! This is our chance!" a consul's thought wave flared wildly, "The Supreme God Civilization (Ultraman) cherishes humanity so deeply that if we eradicate this alien named Charlie for them, we will surely earn their friendship!"

"Agreed! Humanity is a species protected by the Supreme God Civilization; this monkey challenges its majesty—we must state our position!"

The Supreme Leader's thought wave was calm and decisive: "Order all droplets to lock onto Charlie in the firmament; all ship guns enter pre‑charge."

"Once the firmament opens a stable spacetime gate to that universe, fire immediately without awaiting orders!"

"For Trisolaris! And for the future of the Supreme God Civilization!"

…

Dragon Raja World, Cassell Academy, the principal's office.

Angelo swirled the brandy in his glass, staring at Charlie's revolting face on the firmament, and for once lacked his usual old‑cowboy irreverence.

"Disgusting," he murmured.

"Though dragons are lofty and view humans as ants, they never betray their bloodline and take pride in being dragons."

Angelo took a sip, his eyes sharp,

"But this monkey feeds on betrayal, takes pride in trampling its own origins. It enjoys the fruits of human civilization while seeking to destroy civilization itself."

"Such a creature is ten thousand times filthier than the slumbering pure‑blood dragon kings."

"If it appeared before me, I would gladly plunge a folding knife into that ape's brain."

…

The Wandering Earth Universe.

United Government Underground City Hall.

Zhou Zhezhi looked at the screen.

He didn't speak.

The diplomats from various countries nearby fell into silence.

The French representative covered his face.

The Russian representative snapped his pencil.

For survival, humanity pushed away Earth, sacrificing 3.5 billion people.

Ice and snow covered the surface.

The people of the underground city ate dried earthworms.

Humanity in the Darwin Universe had sunshine, blue sky, abundant food.

Cháli, however, was destroying all this. He was slaughtering humanity's future.

MOSS's voice sounded in the broadcast: "Based on humanity's supreme survival law, Cháli and his ALA organization have been judged by MOSS as an absolute anti-human entity. It is recommended that the United Government authorize cross-dimensional strike."

Zhou Zhezhi stood up.

He adjusted the collar of his Zhongshan suit.

"The United Government votes in full. Countries agreeing to armed intervention in that universe, please raise your hands."

In the hall, all representatives simultaneously raised their right hands.

There was not a second of hesitation. Passed unanimously.

Liu Peiqiang gripped the control stick tightly at the navigator space station.

He connected to the ground frequency.

"United Government, this is Liu Peiqiang."

"If the sky curtain opens a passage, I request to pilot the space station, ramming the remaining dormant nuclear bombs into that planet."

"I cannot watch that trash waste humanity's right to survive."

Shroud-Heaven Universe.

Beidou Star Region.

Heavenly Court.

Ye Fan sat on the imperial throne.

The Mother Qi Cauldron of All Things hovered above his head.

The cauldron's body dripped Xuanhuang Qi, collapsing the surrounding void.

Pang Bo slapped the jade stone table before him to pieces with one palm.

He stood up, strode to the center of the hall. "A hybrid monkey dares to speak so wildly!"

"In ancient times, the myriad races treated humans as food; we killed them until they were terrified!"

"Today this monkey, not even worthy of being called a demon cultivator, jumps out again, truly thinking humanity has no one!"

The Black Emperor gritted his teeth, saliva dripping onto the ground.

"Woof! I, the emperor, have seen shameless ones, but never this shameless."

"If the Battle Holy Monkey lineage saw this, they'd definitely smash it into meat paste with a single stick!"

"Ye Zi, give the order; I will inscribe the cross-boundary formation seals! I will capture this monkey and light sky lanterns!"

The Holy Prince walked in from outside the hall.

He held a pitch-black iron staff, his golden hair standing on end all over.

"This thing is unworthy of bearing the form of a monkey. I will personally smash its celestial spirit cover."

Ye Fan lifted his eyelids.

His gaze pierced the star river.

His voice spread throughout the star field.

"Humans cannot be bullied. If this realm opens, the heavenly court's army will march forth. Exterminate ALA, slay Charlie."

Interstellar hegemony over the universe.

Halcyon battleship cruiser.

Jim Raynor pressed his half-smoked cigar onto the tactical terminal.

Mars extinguished.

With both hands braced on the console, he stared at Charlie's arrogant face on the screen.

Terrans struggled to survive in the Koprulu sector.

The Zerg gnawed on the marines' flesh, while the Protoss burned human colonies with purification beams.

Every day, tens of thousands of humans die.

Raynor lost everything in order to save humanity.

"This long-haired scum enjoys the safest shelter yet does the most disgusting things."

Raynor turned his head to look at Matt Horner.

"Matt, how many nuclear warheads do we have left?"

Matt Horner quickly struck the keyboard.

"Sir, the ghost operatives armed with Apocalypse-class nukes are in position; the Yamato cannon is ready to charge at any moment."

Tychus walked onto the bridge wearing heavy powered armor.

He held an electromagnetic rifle, a cruel smile on his face beneath the visor.

"Jimmy, this time I will absolutely obey orders."

"Let me go pull out that monkey's intestines and hang them on the flagpole of their presidential palace."

Lei Nuo drew the electromagnetic revolver from his waist, ejected the magazine, glanced at the armor-piercing rounds inside, then pushed it back in.

"Good. As soon as that damned screen gives us a coordinate, we'll jump there. I'll lead the team myself."

Marvel Universe.

Tony Stark shut down the holographic projection.

"Jarvis." Tony's voice had no inflection.

"I'm here, boss."

"Activate the Godslayer Armor."

"Redirect all space-based weapon satellites in low Earth orbit. Target locked on the Earth of the Darwin Universe."

Tony walked up to the armor display stand.

The mechanical arms began to suit him up.

He had seen Thanos, and he had seen the alien Chitauri army.

Those enemies fought for resources or ideology. Charlie was merely venting his twisted, perverse psyche.

Steve Rogers walked in, shield in hand.

The gentleness was gone from his face.

"Tony, I agree with your approach this time. This isn't war—it's massacre. We have to stop it."

"Boss, a cross-dimensional strike requires space-bridge technology." Jarvis reminded.

"Then let's go get Strange."

"If he won't open the door, I'll blow up his Sanctum Sanctorum."

Tony's faceplate sealed shut.

His eyes glowed blue.

Hell's Kitchen.

Basement.

Frank Castle pressed the last large-caliber armor-piercing round into the magazine.

He pulled the bolt. A round chambered.

"Animal protection."

Frank snorted coldly.

He sheathed his tactical dagger in the sheath on his outer thigh.

"I'll flay your skin and make a pair of shoes out of it."

Spirit Cage Universe.

Lighthouse.

Mark stood before the floor-to-ceiling window of the control room.

Outside the window lay a gray sky and a scarred wasteland.

The ground teemed with swarms of Devouring Beasts.

Humans could only survive aloft, clinging to life by the harsh three survival laws.

There was no familial love, no romance—even reproduction had become a cold duty.

Charlie's brother was slaughtering a kindergarten.

Mark slammed a fist into the bulletproof glass; the glass cracked.

Wasteland Hunter deputy Ran Bing stood behind him, gripping her sniper rifle with both hands.

She bit her lip, her eye sockets reddened.

"How could they do that? Those are living children."

"They have everything we've ever dreamed of."

Mark turned around and looked at the fully armed Wasteland Hunter squad.

"Blue skies, water, safe shelter, and the sound of children laughing—and they destroyed it all with their own hands."

Charles stepped out of the shadows.

This ever-sinister Light and Shadow Association leader now wore an undisguisable look of disgust.

He turned the gold watch in his hand.

"The Lord of Light and Shadow will not tolerate this heresy."

"They aren't even fit to be fodder for the Devouring Beasts."

"Mark, you can freely draw on the Lighthouse's heavy firepower."

Mark walked toward the heavy exosuit parking area.

"Everyone ready. If a portal appears, we'll go show them what the cost of survival really means."

……

Yet, above the heavenly curtain, the very architect of all this was now enjoying the feast he had unleashed.

Darwin Mutation Universe, Tokyo.

After learning via the heavenly curtain that the ALA leader was his own brother, whom he had never met, Charlie laughed.

It was a manic delight at finding his kindred spirit.

He naturally met up with his brother,

the two half-human, half-beast black lightning bolts, together with the members of the Animal Protection Association,

they swept through the once-prosperous city like the Grim Reaper descending.

The heavenly curtain's display switched over, cold as a documentary.

Once Silver Seat, now corpses litter the ground.

Cháli and his brother stood atop the Eastern Capital Tower; behind them, the burning city and the wails of countless Eastern Capital people.

Meanwhile, behind them, the Qu insect nest, which was on its last breath in the multiversal great hunt, weakly writhed, as if it could die at any moment.

"Listen!" Cháli picked up a loudspeaker, his voice passing through the firmament and spreading throughout the heavens: "The era of human rule over this planet has lasted too long! Your nobility is built upon the corpses of countless species! Today, we shall end all of this!"

"All things are equal!"

Saying this, he turned around and pointed at the disgusting mass of flesh behind him.

"It, Qu, is also a living being! In its own universe, it was hunted by those so-called gods, homeless!"

On Cháli's face, a holy father-like radiance appeared.

"But here, it will receive equal treatment! Because, it is also my friend!"

In the next moment, a scene that left all heavens and myriad worlds stunned occurred.

Under the command of the Cháli brothers, all resources of the Eastern Capital City—food, energy, and even the captured human survivors—were dumped like garbage beside the Qu insect nest.

That Qu, whose thought fluctuations were originally so weak as to be about to extinguish, began to frenziedly devour.

Visibly, its insect nest swelled; the withered tissues became replenished, new flesh and tendons frenziedly proliferated, and small Qu soldier types were 'spat' out from the mother nest.

In just a few tens of minutes.

That Qu, which the combined forces of the heavens' civilizations had beaten down to its last breath, fully revived!

Even larger and more ferocious than before!

The recovered Qu's main brain, with its countless compound eyes turning simultaneously, the vast insect nest's thoughts, like a cold current from the deep sea, slowly swept over Cháli.

It broke its previous silence and timidity, emitting a clear and resonant thought fluctuation.

【Thank you, my friend.】

Cháli smiled triumphantly, he opened his arms, as if embracing a new world: "No need for thanks, friend. I said all things are equal; this is what I ought to do."

He completely failed to notice the icy, bone-piercing greed within Qu's thought fluctuation.

Just then.

The Qu insect nest again emitted waves of icy fluctuation, interrupting Cháli's self-indulgence.

【Well said, we are friends.】

【Then as a friend…】

Qu's massive body leaned forward slightly, its shadow instantly enveloping the Cháli brothers; its just-reborn, still-dripping mouthparts split open, like an abyss.

Please help me with my last favor.
