Chapter 37: The Land of Light's entity exposed

~6 min read 1,006 words

This line of golden subtitles hovered silently above the firmament, as if announcing the beginning of a great era.

Cybertron, Decepticon base.

Megatron looked at those words, and a hint of incomprehension appeared on its metallic face.

"Ultraman civilization actually still has a country?"

"Such a powerful species must be filled with internal conflict and war; how could it possibly be unified into a country?"

In his view, any powerful civilization is inevitably fragmented, struggling in eternal opposition.

Differences in individual thought inevitably cause division; this is unavoidable, no matter what civilization.

Just like their Cybertron,

Here, Autobots and Decepticons are destined to fight to the death.

And the Ultraman's planet,

is certainly not just Ultramen protecting those carbon-based worms,

there must also be evil and powerful Ultramen capable of bringing destruction!

Beside Megatron,

Red Spider immediately stepped forward fawningly, using its sharp electronic voice to echo: "Boss, you're absolutely right! This so-called Land of Light is definitely not monolithic inside!"

"What the firmament now shows is merely the faction among them that acts as a nanny for those carbon-based worms!"

Red Spider's logic processor raced, thinking it had grasped the key.

"We can go find those Ultraman factions that love slaughter and destruction, the evil ones! Allying with them will surely crush Optimus Prime and those foolish Autobots completely!"

Marvel Universe

Tony Stark has already repaired his armor.

He looked at the firmament, somewhat shocked.

"The country of the Ultraman civilization?"

"Their civilization can be called a country!"

Immediately, he thought:

"Then, if it can be called a country, that means the Ultraman population is at least ten thousand!"

According to his reasoning, if a civilization can be called a country, its population must be at least ten thousand!

"Such towering giants, really numbering over ten thousand?"

He was deeply shocked.

After all, the Avengers lineup totals only a few.

Singer Civilization

The Singer was idly gazing at the firmament before it,

This was merely a rare diversion in its long life.

It casually swept across the star chart, also clearing away a patch of low-entropy matter that had just begun to sprout.

"The country of the Ultraman civilization?"

A faint curiosity arose in its mind.

If possible, turning that country into a beautiful 2D painting would surely be interesting.

Warhammer 40K world, Holy Terra.

Upon the Golden Throne, the desiccated body that had lain for ten thousand years suddenly emitted a barely perceptible psychic pulse.

The Human Emperor seemed to also develop a hint of interest in the country called the Land of Light.

This pulse was instantly caught by the forbidding army marshal standing before him.

The marshal suddenly turned, raising the power spear in his hand and letting out a roar like thunder.

"Do you feel it? The Emperor is guiding us!"

"For the Emperor!!"

Trisolaran Fleet, command center.

The thought fluctuations of Chief Scientist 3056 were violent, nearly overflowing the thought container.

"Finally... finally going to see the homeworld of the Ultraman civilization?"

"Their star system, their country—how exactly does it differ from our Trisolaran star system?"

A officer responsible for strategy, his thought fluctuations filled with natural assumptions.

"Able to nurture such mighty giants, their star system must be the most blessed place in the entire universe, a perfect cradle of evolution."

"It certainly won't be like our Trisolaran star system, forever burdened with three unpredictable, destructive suns."

This assumption triggered waves of agreement in thought fluctuations throughout the fleet.

All Trisolarans instinctively believed that the Ultraman's strength stems from possessing a paradise-like homeworld.

A mixture of envy and resentment spread through the fleet.

The sociologist from before again emitted his logic-filled thoughts.

"We must admit that cosmic evolution is full of chance. Our star system's living conditions are far inferior to the M78 Nebula, so our civilization is still struggling to survive, while the Ultraman civilization has grown strong enough to protect other weak civilizations."

Just then, the firmament's image suddenly shifted.

An indescribably gorgeous star-spread unfolded, filling the view of all civilizations.

Hundreds of millions of stars converged into a dazzling cascade of light, their scintillating hues of various colors together forming a vast, boundless nebula.

M78 Nebula.

Earth, PIA Headquarters.

Cheng Xin gazed at this magnificent star river, momentarily speechless.

"So……so beautiful."

Tianming, can you see such a beautiful star system even in the cold depths of the universe? You truly……are so happy.

The lens of Heaven's Curtain,

began to continuously delve into this exquisite star system.

Finally, the image locked onto one of the massive planets emitting eternal light.

That planet is the largest and brightest pearl in the entire M78 Nebula!

It itself is like a blazing sun!

The scorching, bright light suppressed the radiance of all surrounding stars, thoroughly illuminating the originally dark cosmic void.

The dazzling green light, passing through Heaven's Curtain, refracted onto the home of every civilization.

This is the M78 Nebula, the country of Ultraman.

Land of Light.

Trisolaran Fleet Command Center.

After seeing clearly the planet in Land of Light that shone as brightly as the sun, the entire fleet fell into a deathly silence.

The next second, a fear rooted deep in the genes and etched into civilization's history exploded in the minds of every Trisolaran!

Sun!

So the so‑called Ultraman civilization's country is actually such a scorching sun!

"He……they……they actually used a sun as a habitable planet?!"

A scientist responsible for stellar physics research had his mind completely collapse, emitting a sharp, uncontrollable thought wave.

He could not imagine, he could not comprehend!

What kind of species, what kind of civilization, could actually take a sun as their home?!

This completely overturned their entire understanding of the forms of life!

A bone‑chilling cold surged from the core of every Trisolaran's mind, instantly spreading to every cell.

Because of their Trisolaran history,

All Trisolarans innately possess the strongest, most primal, even marrow‑deep fear of the sun.

And now, Heaven's Curtain tells them that the civilization called Ultraman actually lives on a sun!

All Trisolarans are now scared stupid!
