Chapter 90

~7 min read 1,305 words

Warhammer 40K universe.

Within the Warp, the laughter of the four Chaos Gods was for the first time so neat and uniform, even carrying a hint of harmonious rhythm.

The God of Fear and Cruelty stopped roaring, Aoteman was turned into a figurine, and it felt that this bloodless humiliation was even more exhilarating than chopping off ten thousand heads.

The God of Deceit and Strangeness stopped scheming, it discovered that there were lunatics in the universe who could cause even more trouble than it, and on the spot decided to take Dark Lujaier as its teacher.

The God of Decay stopped brewing soup, it believed that turning living things into dead things was also a kind of alternative decay, very aesthetically pleasing.

The God of Lust and Sin stopped indulging in pleasure, and from this ultimate control and domination, it felt an unprecedented pleasure.

Upon the Golden Throne.

The Emperor's unchanging psychic radiance for ten thousand years underwent violent fluctuations.

A hitherto unknown sense of peril penetrated spacetime and descended upon his will.

This power disregards physics, disregards psychic energy, and acts directly upon the root of life forms.

If this power were to descend upon the Warhammer 40K universe……

That would be a despair deeper than chaos.

Super Beast World.

Inside the bridge of the Black Tortoise warship, Miaotiaojun saw the screen filled with Aoteman figurines, and the potato chips in his hand popped and were crushed into powder.

His obese body sprang up from the chair, pointing at the screen in righteous indignation.

"Too much! That guy called Dark Lujaier is too hateful!"

"These Aoteman are heroes defending the universe! How could he, how could he turn them all into little toys?"

"He's a complete villain!"

Saibotan Star.

Inside the Autobot base, Dahuangfeng emitted an angry electronic signal.

"Request to engage! We must defeat that scoundrel called Lujaier!"

He waved his tiny fists, jumping up and down in front of the screen, wishing he could rush straight into the heavens.

"How dare he turn such cool Aoteman into figurines? This is an insult to heroes! Unforgivable!"

Darwinian Mutation Universe.

On Chali's ape-like face, there remained the same indifferent calm.

He calmly observed the gruesome scene on the screen and commented in a tone of stating facts.

"Aoteman turned into figurines? That's quite normal."

"They themselves have nothing special; ultimately they are merely a form of life. When encountering a stronger existence, being transformed or even erased is reasonable."

His words were icy, devoid of any emotion, as if discussing the extinction of a species utterly unrelated to himself.

Just as the myriad worlds reacted with anger, fear, or indifference to this "everyone turned into figurines" ending, the image on the screen quietly changed.

The Aoteman and monster figurines that filled the entire universe gradually faded out.

The camera focused on the center of the battlefield.

Dark Lujaier and Galaxy Aoteman stood back to back, silently upright in the void.

One black, one blue, one still, one moving, one an end, one a future.

The clamor of the entire universe seemed, at that moment, to be shut out by the two of them.

The first to speak was Dark Lujaier.

His low, magnetic voice passed through the screen, clearly reaching the depths of every living being's consciousness.

"Because life's span is truly limited, life struggles due to fear of death, thereby causing sorrow and mistakes."

His words carried no malice at all; instead, they were like a sigh of sympathy for the heavens and pity for humanity.

"If that's the case, before new sorrow and mistakes occur, let all time come to a halt around happiness."

"That is an eternal life that never ends."

As his words fell, the Galaxy Ultraman behind him also spoke.

His voice was clear and firm, filled with unyielding will and belief in the future.

"Even if there will be sorrow and mistakes, we will overcome them and pass on a better future to the next generation."

"This, then, is the eternal life that never ends."

Above the firmament, the silhouettes of Galaxy Ultraman and Dark Lugiel, one light and one dark, formed an ultimate opposition.

Light and darkness intertwined around them, yet remained clearly distinct, never infringing upon each other.

At this moment, the spectators of the myriad heavens finally realized.

This was not a simple division of right and wrong, nor merely a clear-cut good versus evil.

This was a collision of two utterly different ultimate conceptions concerning the universe, life, and time itself!

What Lugiel desired was a "perfect world" frozen at its most beautiful moment, free of pain, free of conflict, eternally still.

What Galaxy Ultraman guarded, however, was a "dynamic future" full of the unknown and full of challenges, advancing toward infinite possibilities through constant falling and rising.

These two conceptions had no absolute right or wrong, yet were as incompatible as fire and water.

The brutality of the Spark War, and the clash of ideals between Galaxy Ultraman and Lugiel, brought an unprecedented ideological shock to the myriad heavens.

Countless beings of civilizations involuntarily began to think.

What exactly do these two conceptions represent?

If it were oneself, how should one choose?

Three-Body Fleet Command Center.

The Leader's thought form fell into confusion again.

It had just recovered from the collapse of the faith in "the Master God being turned into a figurine," and now it was crashed again by these two philosophical ideas.

A scientist trembled as he sent out a thought wave.

"Eternal stillness of happiness…… If our Three-Body civilization could linger at the moment we discovered a new home, or linger at the eternal dawn of the Three-Body star system, would we no longer have to worry about three suns hanging in the sky, nor have to worry about the Dark Forest?"

Once this idea appeared, it spread like a virus, wildly proliferating in the Trisolarans' thought network.

For a civilization that has struggled for countless ages on the survival line, the concept of Dark Lagrange undoubtedly possesses a deadly allure.

That is an ultimate 'sense of security'.

A sense of security that can ignore the safety of one's species and ignore the Dark Forest law of the universe.

The Leader's thought core went berserk with alarms, forcibly suppressing this dangerous current of thought.

But it could not deny that, at that moment, it wavered.

The Marvel Universe.

Inside the Avengers League base, Tony Stark removed his helmet and wearily leaned back in his chair.

He gazed at the two opposing figures on the sky-screen:

"Linger in the most beautiful moment……"

He murmured to himself, recalling the peaceful life he and Pepper had in the forest cabin, and recalling little Morgan's innocent, beaming smile.

If time could be frozen forever at that moment, would he no longer have to face Thanos, nor face that sole, bitter victory that required him to sacrifice his life to achieve?

That thought, like a poisonous weed, wildly proliferated in his heart.

Super Beast World.

Pluto sat upon his massive throne, gazing at the sky-screen, sinking into a long silence.

"To protect my people, I sparked a war, plunging the universe into turmoil."

He recalled his deceased wife Phoenix, and his lost daughter Tian Yu.

"If I could stop time at the moment when my family was happiest……"

In his deep eyes, confusion appeared for the first time.

On the sky-screen, the Milky Way and Lagrange stood opposed, their concepts like two stars casting either bright or dim light upon the hearts of all civilizations in the heavens and myriad worlds.

A war grander and more far-reaching than the Spark War itself has silently ignited in everyone's thoughts.

……

(The myriad-worlds CPU has been fried! Starting tomorrow, we'll torture Qu! )

(Happy New Year, everyone! Wishing readers' godfathers riches and success in career and studies!!)
