He crossed his massive arms over his broad chest. \"There is a dangerous man looking for her. You are not going out into the loud, crowded city by yourselves. It is way too dangerous.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Torian nodded in agreement, looking very worried. \"Zarek is right. What if he finds her down there? We cannot let you go alone.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Roxy turned around and put her hands on her hips. She looked at her six giant, overprotective husbands. She knew they just wanted to keep her safe, but she had made up her mind.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"We are not going alone, then,\" Roxy compromised, giving them a sharp, clever smile. \"I want to take Lira to the biggest, most exclusive dance club in the city. He didn’t even argue. \"I will rent out the entire top floor,\" the Swamp King said smoothly, his fingers typing incredibly fast. \"Nobody will be allowed up there except for us.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>With the plan perfectly set, Roxy pulled Lira up from the couch and dragged her into the giant master bedroom.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"We need armor,\" Roxy told her happily, walking into her massive, walk-in closet.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They spent the next hour playing dress-up. Roxy wanted Lira to feel beautiful and totally untouchable. She found a stunning, sparkly silver dress for Lira that caught the light perfectly and made her look like a famous pop star. For herself, Roxy chose a tight, dark red dress that made her look fierce, strong, and totally confident.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They did their hair and put on bright, pretty makeup. They listened to loud, happy music in the bathroom, and slowly, the pale, scared look completely left Lira’s face. She actually started to smile again.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>When the girls finally walked out into the living room, the Kings were waiting for them by the front door.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The six men had changed into their sharpest, darkest black suits. They didn’t look like normal husbands going out for a fun night. They looked completely terrifying. With their huge muscles, tall heights, and serious, cold faces, they looked exactly like a highly trained, incredibly dangerous mafia hit squad. They were ready for war.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They took a fleet of shiny black cars to the club.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The club was called ’Neon’, and it was the most expensive, exclusive place in New York City. The line to get inside wrapped all the way around the building. But the Kings didn’t wait in line. When the big bouncers at the front door saw Zarek and Torian walking toward them, they took one look at their cold, deadly eyes and immediately moved out of the way to let them in.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Inside, the club was amazing. It was huge, dark, and filled with flashing pink, blue, and purple lights. The bass from the loud music was so heavy that Roxy could actually feel it thumping inside her chest. Hundreds of people were jumping up and down on the massive dance floor in the center of the room.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The club manager was sweating nervously as he led them up a set of glowing glass stairs. Syris had paid a total fortune to clear out the entire VIP section just for them.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The VIP section was a giant, open balcony that looked right down over the huge dance floor. It had expensive leather couches and a private bar, but the Kings didn’t sit down.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As soon as they got up there, the six giant men walked right up to the thick glass railing. They stood in a perfect, straight line, leaning their thick arms on the glass, looking straight down at the crowd. They did not smile. They did not drink the expensive water the waiter brought them. They just glared.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They looked like the absolute rulers of the city. If any human man down on the floor even dared to look up at the VIP section, Kaelen or Ren would shoot them a look so icy and scary that the guy would instantly turn around and walk the other way.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Go have fun,\" Zarek told Roxy, his voice loud enough to hear over the booming music. \"We have our eyes on every single door.
