Chapter 247: Inquiring for News

Ya Fei ordered people to deal with the corpse, while Xiao Yan returned to the lobby and greeted Hai Bodong, letting Hai Bodong watch over the Mittel Auction House to prevent accidents.

Xiao Yan went to the Alchemist Guild alone to find Fama to inquire about the family's news.

After arriving at the gate of the Alchemist Guild, Xiao Yan saw alchemists who were rarely seen like giant pandas, now entering and leaving the Alchemist Guild in groups, which was very lively.

Xiao Yan walked straight into the Alchemist Guild and headed toward the west side of the lobby.

The alchemists in the lobby saw Xiao Yan dressed so flashily, without an alchemist robe, and went straight to the west side of the lobby, the place they longed for, and all showed expressions of looking at a fool.

Sure enough, when Xiao Yan walked to the entrance of the west corridor, he was stopped by the guards.

"No entry here!" The guard said unceremoniously.

"Gama Empire Royal Family!" Xiao Yan narrowed his eyes and said.

"I don't know if you were exposed, but in the two years after you left, the Imperial Capital has undergone huge changes. To be precise, that old guy Jia Xingtian has changed." Fama looked at Xiao Yan and said lightly.

"Jia Xingtian! It seems those people have already found him!" Xiao Yan naturally knew what was going on with the seeds he planted himself, but he still asked: "What happened to Jia Xingtian?"

"No need to be polite! Just take me in!" Xiao Yan naturally wouldn't care about these guards.

"Could it be that my identity has been exposed?" Xiao Yan frowned and asked confusedly.

Hearing this, one of the guards made a gesture of invitation, inviting Xiao Yan in.

"It seems the Soul Hall found Jia Xingtian and let Jia Xingtian send someone to do it." Xiao Yan thought to himself.

Fama looked up at Xiao Yan and said slowly: "It seems you already know!"

As Xiao Yan's senior brother, Fama naturally wanted Xiao Yan to be famous, and he knew even more that Xiao Yan was currently lacking medicinal herbs for practice, but even if he was the president of the Alchemist Guild, he couldn't give them directly, so he used this method.

"Lead the way!" Xiao Yan took out a jade token given by Fama from his storage ring and shook it in front of the guard.

"It seems I have to go to the Imperial Palace! She might know a little news!" Xiao Yan didn't get any news about Xiao Zhan from Fama, so he had to go to the Imperial Palace to see that one.

After the guard saw the token, he immediately knelt down to Xiao Yan and performed a great ceremony.

"What? How is this possible?" Xiao Yan looked at Fama in surprise. With the power of the Alchemist Guild, they couldn't even detect the whereabouts of his father and the others, which was beyond Xiao Yan's expectations.

In Xiao Yan's view, even if Fama didn't know the exact location, he should know some news, but he didn't expect that there was really nothing.

After listening to the news given by Fama, plus Xiao Yan's own judgment, Xiao Yan knew who did it, but he didn't know where Xiao Zhan and his party were imprisoned.

"By the way, I have already signed you up for this Alchemist Grand Meeting. Remember to participate when the time comes!" Fama saw that Xiao Yan was about to leave and said directly.

"I came here mainly to ask you about some things!" Xiao Yan directly set up a barrier in the room to prevent others from eavesdropping. After all, this was the Alchemist Guild, and everyone's soul perception was very strong.

Seeing that Fama was so thoughtful for himself, and he indeed needed to refine more Tier 5 and Tier 6 pills to stabilize his alchemy, Xiao Yan nodded.

"It seems you have gained a lot in these two years! Even I can't see your true strength!" Fama saw that Xiao Yan could set up a soul barrier at will, looked at him up and down, and sighed.

After seeing this, the people in the lobby were all amazed and speculated about Xiao Yan's identity. After all, even royalty did not have such treatment.

"Although I don't know who did it, I can roughly guess it! And I think you should have guessed it too!" Fama saw that Xiao Yan was a bit disappointed and said his guess directly.

"Jia Xingtian suddenly came out of seclusion half a year ago. Not only did his strength become unfathomable, but his temperament also became elusive. He took back the power of the empire. Because of you, I stopped providing pills to the empire's royal family, but they didn't seem to be affected at all, but became stronger. And it was shortly after Jia Xingtian came out of seclusion that your Xiao family had an accident, so I guessed that he did it! As for the reason, I think you should know, right?" Fama slowly told what he knew.

"So what if the strength is improved? Still caught the handle by someone!" Xiao Yan smiled bitterly.

After greeting the guards to leave, Xiao Yan walked straight in and closed the door.

"Hehe! Really a kid from the countryside, doesn't know how high the sky is!" People in the lobby saw this scene and despised it.

"This Alchemist Grand Meeting is not the same as usual. Not only were alchemists from the Gama Empire invited, but alchemists from other empires were also invited. The rewards are even more generous, mostly medicinal herbs needed for Tier 5 and Tier 6 pills, and many Tier 7 medicinal herbs. It can be said that as long as you get these herbs, you can successfully reach Tier 6, or even impact Tier 7. I spent a lot of effort to prepare this for you!" Although Fama knew that Xiao Yan had no mind for this at this time, he had been preparing for this since Xiao Yan left the Imperial Capital.

Fama, who was sitting on a chair handling things, saw a person suddenly appear in the room, looked up, and found that this person was dressed so flashily, couldn't help but frown, then relaxed, stood up and asked with a smile: "Xiao Yan?"

"Sigh! I also heard about your family's affairs, but after I sent people to inquire in many ways, there was no news!" Fama naturally knew what Xiao Yan wanted to ask and sighed.

"Although I know they did it, I can't find any traces, let alone where your father and his party are imprisoned." Fama said with a solemn expression.

"It's really nothing that can be hidden from Old Man Fa!" Xiao Yan found a chair and sat down, saying.

Xiao Yan followed the guard through the corridor and came to the door of a room.

"Ah! Alchemist Grand Meeting!" Xiao Yan was stunned. Where did he have the time and mind to participate in the Alchemist Grand Meeting at this time!

"Why? Are you not going to participate?" Fama was stunned when he saw Xiao Yan's expression.

"Heh, how can this place be visited by anyone? And except for some old guys, no young people will come." Fama looked at Xiao Yan and said with a faint smile.

"Where do I have the mind for any Alchemist Grand Meeting!" Xiao Yan smiled bitterly helplessly. Besides, he was already a Tier 6 alchemist, and the champion reward, the Rongling Pill, was not very attractive to him. Even if he wanted it, he could ask Fama directly.

Fama was very happy to see Xiao Yan nod, but Xiao Yan's next words made Fama's teeth ache.

"Participants of the Alchemist Grand Meeting: Bu Jingyun! Instructor: Wu Ming!"
