Chapter 259: Alchemist Grand Meeting

The blue sky, scattered white clouds, bright sunshine, fresh air, and a gentle breeze blowing on the face made people feel refreshed and happy.

The huge blue stone square was crowded with people, exceptionally lively. These people were wearing alchemist robes, and in front of them was a blue stone square platform.

The two sides of the blue stone square were surrounded by spectators. Most of these people were dignitaries from the Imperial Capital, as well as heads of other forces.

Directly in front of the blue stone square stood a high platform several tens of meters high, with rows of seats on it. Sitting in the first row on the high platform were Fama, Gu He, and Vice President Qie Mi Er, while sitting behind them were people from the three great clans of the Imperial Capital and the Imperial Family.

Fama, Gu He, and Qie Mi Er stood up and walked to the front of the platform, looking down at the sea of black heads below, feeling incomparably shocked in their hearts.

This Imperial Square could accommodate ten thousand people to participate in the alchemist assessment, but at this moment, it appeared somewhat crowded. It seemed there were no empty stone platforms, and even a few hundred temporary ones had been added because there weren't enough.

"It seems that because there are too many alchemists coming to participate, the Alchemist Guild has to save costs," Xiao Yan said with a laugh.

"Damn it! This is too unfair. I've refined Qi Recovery Pills many times; this time I just failed by accident. Why does this competition only provide one portion of medicinal materials! If they provided one more, I would definitely succeed!" An alchemist who failed the refinement walked out of the square, cursing. He couldn't accept his failure and was unwilling to leave, making a scene, and was forcibly dragged away by the law enforcement team.

Xiao Yan shook his head helplessly and stopped paying attention to these failed alchemists. His location was not very conspicuous; it was very ordinary.

But this Alchemist Grand Meeting was different. The rewards were medicinal materials! And they were rare Grade 5, Grade 6, and even Grade 7 medicinal materials.

"Boom! Boom!" Muffled sounds came continuously, representing that someone had failed the refinement.

As the saying goes, a clever woman cannot cook without rice. Many alchemists' levels cannot be improved, not because of talent and ability, but because there are not enough medicinal materials.

Xiao Yan took out a medicine cauldron that had been placed for who knows how long from his storage ring and placed it on the stone platform. This medicine cauldron was actually bought by Xiao Yan in Wutan City!

Although the Qi Recovery Pill is the most common among Grade 3 medicinal pills, and the refinement technique is not difficult, there was only one portion of medicinal materials, so it was still somewhat difficult for some ordinary alchemists.

"Heh, there are indeed many dark horses." Fama also detected that the soul fluctuations of some people in the square were not low. These people couldn't be seen when they weren't refining medicine, but as long as they refined medicine, they absolutely couldn't hide it.

These alchemists are usually like giant pandas, extremely rare. Now that more than ten thousand giant pandas were standing under the platform, the shock caused was not just a little bit.

Seeing that the medicine cauldron Xiao Yan took out was actually the one she had sold to Xiao Yan in Wutan City, a faint smile appeared on Ya Fei's face, seemingly remembering something.

"Who says not! This time, not only have all the alchemists of the Gama Empire come, but people from other empires have basically all come too." Qie Mi Er looked at Fama and shook his head helplessly. This was all caused by Fama!

Fama looked at the sea of black heads below, the alchemists who had come to participate in the Alchemist Grand Meeting, and the corners of his mouth twitched. He just wanted to give Xiao Yan some benefits through the Alchemist Grand Meeting and, by the way, make a name for Xiao Yan, so the rewards given were a bit high.

Xiao Yan naturally also picked up the pill recipe to check. After checking, a strange expression appeared on Xiao Yan's face because the pill recipe was actually the recipe for the Qi Recovery Pill.

Of course, just from the provided medicinal materials, Xiao Yan had already discovered what medicinal pill was to be refined this time, but he was just curious and wanted to see if there was any problem with the pill recipe.

Seeing that Xiao Yan actually took out such a shabby medicine cauldron, the corners of the mouths of the people on the high platform twitched involuntarily, and other dignitaries who knew Xiao Yan were also somewhat stunned.

"Old Man Hai, you have been with Bu Jingyun for quite a while. Did he use this kind of medicine cauldron to refine medicinal pills before?" Fama turned his head and asked Hai Bodong behind him.

"Boom!" As soon as Fama finished speaking, the whole field soared, and cheers shook the nine heavens.

"Bu Jingyun's soul power is also very strong! I really don't know what grade of alchemist he is, but I estimate he is no lower than Grade 5!" Gu He also paid close attention to Xiao Yan. After all, Xiao Yan possessed an Exotic Fire.

As for the other benefit, it is to gain honor. Once you achieve good results in the meeting and are noticed by some major forces, you will soar into the sky, just like Gu He.

However, alchemists are arrogant, and no one wants their freedom to be restricted. Although some alchemists have temporarily submitted due to unavoidable reasons, it is obviously impossible to let them be beasts of burden for a lifetime.

Naturally, there was no problem with the pill recipe, and there was no problem with the medicinal materials.

This competition is different from the past. Now everyone is refining medicine on ordinary stone platforms. Even the Imperial Princess Yao Yue and Gu He's disciple Liu Ling don't know which corner they are staying in.

"Now I will introduce the competition rules to everyone. This meeting has a total of four rounds. In the first three rounds, each round will provide a pill recipe and medicinal materials. Those who succeed will stay, and those who fail will leave. As for the last round, only the winners have the right to know, and the competition will continue, and there will be no rest time, so the difficulty of this competition is quite high. Of course, the rewards are also unprecedented. As long as you get them, you can soar into the sky. Now I announce, the first round of the competition begins now!" After Fama announced the start of the meeting, Qie Mi Er began to introduce the competition rules.

Although the rewards given in the past Alchemist Grand Meetings were good, they were only to be looked at from afar and not to be played with.

"President Fama, there are too many people coming to participate in this Alchemist Grand Meeting! In the past, there were at most one or two thousand people, but now there are over ten thousand." Gu He looked at the alchemists who had come to participate in the assessment and also felt incomparably shocked.

"President, there are quite a few dark horses coming to participate in this Alchemist Grand Meeting!" Gu He gave Fama a meaningful look.

Without enough medicinal materials to support, even Gu He might be a Grade 5 alchemist at most now, and definitely not the Pill King of today.

Hearing this, the alchemists who had come to participate in the Alchemist Grand Meeting were instantly excited and couldn't wait to pick up the pill recipes on the stone platforms to check. Some even started to light fires directly.

Although Xiao Yan's position was not conspicuous, he received quite a lot of attention. More than half of the people who came to watch knew him. After all, Xiao Yan had been too famous recently.

It can be said that as long as you get these rewards, the opportunity to become a Grade 6 alchemist in the future is stable.

Some Grade 6 pill recipes, although they look precious, what is the use of letting some Grade 4 and Grade 5 alchemists take them?

"The stone platform is too small!" Hai Bodong had naturally seen Xiao Yan's medicine cauldron, but that medicine cauldron was too huge and too conspicuous. It was estimated that as soon as it was taken out, it would become the focus of attention, although Xiao Yan was already the focus now.

"In the name of the President of the Alchemist Guild of the Gama Empire, I announce that the Seventh Alchemist Grand Meeting begins now!" Fama stood on the high platform and shouted loudly.

Hearing this, Fama was somewhat confused, but he didn't continue to ask.

"Heh, it is indeed not bad!" Fama looked at Xiao Yan, who had already started refining medicine below, and said with a faint smile.

"President, why didn't young friend Nie Feng come to participate in this Alchemist Grand Meeting? With his talent, I estimate he has already reached a Grade 5 alchemist! And the rewards of this competition are also very important to him. With these medicinal materials, he can smoothly reach Grade 6, or even touch Grade 7! But I see that Nie Feng is not on the list of participants," Gu He looked at Fama and asked with confusion.
