Chapter 303: Three Thousand Lightning Movement

Hu Jia shuddered, frightened by Xiao Yan. She had only been joking, never expecting such a strong reaction from him.

"Alright, Hu Jia, just stay with me! And Xiao Yan, say less!" Xiao Yu hurriedly mediated, speaking up.

"Hehe, you all should rest first! You can go out and look around tomorrow! Especially the Heavenly Burning Qi Tower; it's a great place to visit!" Elder Su was very curious about Xiao Yan's background and why he was so formidable.

After Elder Su left, Xiao Yan transferred one thousand Fire Energy to Xun Er and said to her, "I need to find a place to go into seclusion and recover my soul power; otherwise, it's too unbearable."

"Brother Xiao Yan, shouldn't you rest a bit before leaving?" Xun Er naturally knew that Xiao Yan's soul recovery was urgent; seeing him listless every day was painful for her.

"No, recovering my soul power early will allow me to handle emergencies. Otherwise, I'd regret it too late!" Xiao Yan said, looking at Xun Er.

Xun Er naturally knew what Xiao Yan was referring to, so she could only nod and say, "Then Brother Xiao Yan, return as soon as you can!"

Xiao Yan really had quite a few things to do. The Yin Yang Profound Dragon Pill was still in his storage ring; he hadn't consumed it yet. He also needed to practice the Three Thousand Lightning Movement, and most importantly, recover his soul power.

Deep in the mountains, peaks were stacked upon peaks, ranges upon ranges. Dense forests covered the mountaintops, with sturdy, ancient trees reaching the sky, their branches and leaves lush.

Atop one mountain peak, a youth in white sat cross-legged on a giant boulder, saying to the transparent old man beside him, "Teacher, what should we do first?"

"Naturally, start with the easiest. I told you to consume the Yin Yang Profound Dragon Pill long ago, yet you've kept it until now. If someone accidentally snatches it away, you won't even have a place to cry!" Yao Lao said, looking at Xiao Yan.

"Then, Teacher, could you tell me about it?" Although Xiao Yan knew about Yao Lao's situation, he didn't know the details; he only knew that Yao Lao had been backstabbed by Han Feng, leading to his current state.

"Sigh! I didn't expect you to ask after all!" Yao Lao sighed and said.

"Haha! I, Yao Chen, have finally not been blind a second time!" Hearing this, Yao Lao immediately swept away the gloom in his heart and said happily. Xiao Yan had mentioned helping him reshape his physical body countless times along the way.

"My original name is Yao Chen! Actually, you have a senior brother named Han Feng! His talent is no lower than yours, but unfortunately, his heart is crooked. For the sake of the Burning Technique, he chose to betray his master and destroy his ancestors. Yet he didn't know that the Burning Technique is too dangerous, unverified, and requires constant consumption of Exotic Fires. I once consumed an Exotic Fire, and it was a narrow escape from death. Just one Exotic Fire nearly killed me, let alone after practicing the Burning Technique, where one must keep consuming..." Yao Lao slowly told Xiao Yan his story.

"Teacher, although I cannot help you kill Han Feng, I can give him a profound lesson. As for cleaning up the sect, that is still something for you to do yourself. After all, I estimate that you possessing a physical body should be soon. Once we obtain the Fallen Heart Flame, reshaping your body shouldn't be a difficult task!" Xiao Yan said with a faint smile.

"Teacher, I noticed your reaction was quite strong when you saw the pill!" Xiao Yan took out the Yin Yang Profound Dragon Pill and looked at Yao Lao.

"Hehe! Before that, Teacher needs to help me refine the Nine-Eyed Purple God Flower first. In my current state, I cannot refine it." Xiao Yan said embarrassedly.

"Pah! I was wondering why your mouth was so sweet; it turns out you wanted me to do the manual labor!" Yao Lao rolled his eyes but didn't refuse. However, he immediately added, "You should take the Yin Yang Profound Dragon Pill first! There isn't much of a reaction after taking this kind of pill."

"Mm!" Xiao Yan nodded, took the Yin Yang Profound Dragon Pill, and under Yao Lao's guidance, stimulated the dragon Qi.

"With this dragon Qi enhancement, I think the power of the Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms will reach a higher level!" Xiao Yan didn't choose to practice sound-wave fighting techniques; after all, he already had the Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms. As long as he improved it, he could use the dragon Qi for enhancement, thereby evolving it into a fighting technique capable of attacking the soul.

Yao Lao spent nine days continuously calcining the Nine-Eyed Purple God Flower with the Bone Chilling Flame. Even with Yao Lao's strength, he was slightly fatigued. However, looking at the purple liquid in the medicine cauldron, Xiao Yan felt as if his soul was being sucked into it.

"Cough!" Yao Lao coughed lightly and said, "This Nine-Eyed Purple God Flower feeds on souls and can continuously consume souls to strengthen itself. It has a very strong deceptive ability. Many powerful magical beasts or humans become its nourishment if they are not careful."

Hearing Yao Lao's cough, Xiao Yan finally came back to his senses. This Nine-Eyed Purple God Flower was too eerie; one would fall into its trap if not careful.

"This Nine-Eyed Purple God Flower is also useful to you, Teacher, right? How about I share some with you?" Xiao Yan said with a smile.

"Pah! Are you really willing? Even if you were, I wouldn't want it. My soul level is already very high; even if I consumed it, it wouldn't improve much. Instead, it's you—if you consume it, not only will your soul power fully recover, but it will also improve significantly. I won't say you'll reach the Spirit Realm soul, but touching the threshold is achievable." Yao Lao said dismissively.

"Hehe! Then I won't be polite!" Xiao Yan took the small jade bottle containing the purple liquid from Yao Lao, opened the stopper, and drank it in one gulp.

"Refreshing!" After taking the purple medicinal liquid, Xiao Yan immediately felt comfortable all over, his spirit incomparable. His head became clearer and clearer, and memories that were somewhat blurred instantly became sharp.

"Truly comfortable!" Xiao Yan stood up and stretched, his bones cracking and popping. A sharp glint flashed across his eyes; all previous fatigue disappeared, and he was as spirited as could be.

"Teacher, next is this Three Thousand Lightning Movement, right? Let's quickly practice this Three Thousand Lightning Movement so we can go to the Heavenly Burning Qi Tower to cultivate!" Xiao Yan was a bit anxious; after all, his Dou Qi cultivation was currently his weakest point.

"This Three Thousand Lightning Movement is one of the treasures of the Wind Lightning Pavilion. Cultivation requires a special environment; you need to draw the power of wind and thunder into your body, which means you have to wait for a rainy day with thunder. Now, we can only wait. However, you haven't refined pills for a long time; why not take the opportunity to practice?" Seeing Xiao Yan's anxiety, Yao Lao knew he wanted to experiment again, though he also wanted to see Xiao Yan succeed.

Xiao Yan also knew that practicing this Three Thousand Lightning Movement required waiting for a windy and rainy day, so he could only refine pills while waiting.

He didn't know how long he waited, but the sky finally began to blow with wild winds and thunder.

"Damn it! You finally decided to thunder and rain! I've been waiting until I'm impatient!" Xiao Yan had thought he only needed to wait a few days, never expecting it to take over a month.

"Stop complaining! First, open the Three Thousand Lightning Movement scroll and place it on your legs. You don't need to guide it; the wind and thunder power hidden in the scroll will automatically surge out. At the moment it flashes out, grab it and absorb it into your body!" Yao Lao explained the refining steps.

Xiao Yan tore open the scroll and, as Yao Lao instructed, placed it on his legs.
