Chapter 153: Another Evolutionary Route: Thunder God Dragonfly

"For the first time taking the ratio of Thunder Gall and Ancient Lantern Fish crystal cores, the first group of Thunder Light Water Nymphs all appeared very calm, with electricity faintly radiating from their bodies; they are in good condition."

"The second group of Thunder Light Water Nymphs has electric arcs overflowing from their bodies; their condition is okay."

"The third group of Thunder Light Water Nymphs is covered in electricity, and the current within their bodies is steadily rising."

"The fourth group of Thunder Light Water Nymphs looks very irritable, slamming their large heads against the water tank; it seems the energy inside their bodies is too much, causing the Thunder Light Water Nymphs great discomfort."

"The fifth group of Thunder Light Water Nymphs is floating motionless in the water; it looks like they have been shocked unconscious from the pain."

"Sun Flower Emperor, heal the fifth group of Thunder Light Water Nymphs."

Originally, Ye Bai wanted to see how long the fifth group of Thunder Light Water Nymphs would remain unconscious, but time waits for no one, so Ye Bai could only have the Sun Flower Emperor speed up the process.

The Sun Flower Emperor dripped a drop of crystal-clear liquid into the fifth group's tank; this liquid is the Dew of Life that only a Tier 4 Sun Flower Emperor can gestate, and while its effect is much weaker than Life Crystal Dew, it is perfectly fine for healing Pet Beasts.

After half an hour, the five groups of Thunder Light Water Nymphs had all recovered and were playing in the water tanks.

What Ye Bai is going to conduct next is a biological test experiment.

The experiment is very rigorous; any mistake at any step could lead to the experiment being a complete failure.

He will release one thousand Dark Night Larvae into the water tank of each Thunder Light Water Nymph.

Ye Bai wants to see if the combat power of these Thunder Light Water Nymphs has increased.

Ye Bai had already tested it just now; the bodies of the Thunder Light Water Nymphs are hard and faintly radiate the aura of lightning, so the Dark Night Larvae simply cannot do anything to the Thunder Light Water Nymphs.

There is even a risk of being counter-killed by the Thunder Light Water Nymphs.

The first and second groups of Thunder Light Water Nymphs did not change much; they both used electricity to paralyze the Dark Night Larvae before slowly biting off the heads of the Dark Night Larvae one by one.

However, starting from the third group, the electricity within their bodies would forcibly electrocute the Dark Night Larvae to death.

The fifth group is the most terrifying; they electrocuted the Dark Night Larvae to the point of bursting, and their temperament is also the most irritable.

Time passed minute by minute, and soon it was dawn, and Ye Bai's system also refreshed.

【1. Dark Night Mosquitoes, like moth-type Exotic Beasts, possess phototactic characteristics; at night, one can use a light source to attract Dark Night Mosquitoes.】

【2. According to research, after male and female Thunder Light Water Nymphs evolve, their appearances will be slightly different; the male's appearance is more attractive.】

【3. The outbreak of Dark Night Mosquitoes in Xijiang Province has a great connection to the Five Poisons Sect pushing it from the shadows; the people of the Five Poisons Sect intend to extract a large amount of essence blood to refine Gu, and the Blood Gu originated from the hands of the Five Poisons Sect.】

【4. A thousand-year-old Clam Mother died on the bank of the Jiaying River; its shell is stuck right under the bridge pier of the Jiaying River, and it will be seen by people from the Pet Beast Association in three days; the black pearls and white pearls inside its body can improve mental power.】

【5. With the outbreak of Dark Night Mosquitoes, some churches can no longer sit still; they are propagating the theory of natural disasters, and the San Hua Li in Jiaying City is precisely the stronghold of a certain unknown small church.】

Ye Bai looked at the intelligence; this optical mosquito repellent is also considered a good method; why didn't he think of it before?

It is just like the ultraviolet lamps humans usually use; attracting the mosquitoes directly and then dealing with them is a good idea.

However, this requires a very large place to set up, and one cannot let the mosquitoes escape; overall, it is not that easy.

Ye Bai squinted slightly and used the Insight Eye to observe the state of these Thunder Light Water Nymphs.

Their mental state is quite good, it is just that the higher the ratio of Thunder Gall fed, the larger the size of these Thunder Light Water Nymphs will be.

Ye Bai always feels that they will have a brand-new evolutionary direction.

Three days passed very quickly.

Ever since Ye Bai provided the optical mosquito-attracting method, President Wang and President Liu set up a trap.

They used a light source to attract the Dark Night Mosquitoes to an open space, and then had a fire-type Pet Beast Master burn the Dark Night Mosquitoes to ashes with one fire.

After repeating this a few times, the number of Dark Night Mosquitoes indeed began to decrease.

Citizens are much more at ease when going out; they will no longer be like before, where they would go out for a moment and return with a large bump on their leg or arm, and the key is that they didn't even know when they were bitten by the Dark Night Mosquitoes.

President Liu reported the method Ye Bai mentioned to Xijiang Province; whether it was the optical mosquito repellent method, the chemical mosquito repellent method, or the biological mosquito repellent method, President Liu told Xijiang Province about them all.

He could only use this method to temporarily stop the outbreak of Dark Night Mosquitoes.

Xijiang Province, which was experiencing a mosquito disaster, used this method to wipe out wave after wave of Dark Night Mosquitoes, making the people of the Five Poisons Sect gnash their teeth in anger.

These Dark Night Mosquitoes were painstakingly cultivated by them, and they were burned to ashes by a single fire.

However, the number of Dark Night Mosquitoes is still very large, so the people of the Five Poisons Sect intend to move from the light to the shadows and continue to manipulate the Dark Night Mosquitoes to do things for them.

After the pressure was reduced, Ye Bai had more time to participate in research.

Three days later, the Thunder Light Water Nymphs were already floating motionless in the water; this is the state of evolution.

The Thunder Light Dragonfly will shed its old body and welcome a new life.

A blinding, intense light erupted from the bodies of the Thunder Light Water Nymphs.

They are about to begin their evolution.

Influenced by the Thunder Gall, the larger the proportion of Thunder Gall, the larger the volume of the Thunder Light Water Nymphs.

Conversely, the volume was much smaller.

At this time, a crack appeared on the back of the Thunder Light Water Nymphs, the crack then expanded, and one after another, dragonfly Exotic Beasts covered in mucus crawled out from their old shells.

Among them were many Thunder Light Dragonflies, but there were also some dragonfly Exotic Beasts that Ye Bai had never seen before.

The Thunder Light Dragonfly is a large dragonfly Exotic Beast; its wings can emit terrifying thunder light, which is why it is called the Thunder Light Dragonfly.

Its eyes are large, its tail is like a socket, and its wings faintly emit streaks of electricity.

【Name: Thunder Light Dragonfly】

【Gender: Male】

【Characteristic: Acceleration】

【Level: Tier 3, Level 1】

【Mastered Skills: Lightning Flash (Proficient): Attacks the opponent with lightning speed; its sharp claws will strike the opponent.

Insect Chirp (Proficient): Emits a piercing sonic wave from its mouth to attack the opponent.

Thunder Light (Proficient): Enveloped in thunder light, it slams into the opponent, with a one-third probability of triggering a paralyzed state in the opponent.

Thunder Cut (Entry): The whole body is wrapped in electricity, stabbing at the opponent like a sharp sword.】

【Evolution Route 1: Thunder God Dragonfly: Thunder Core, Lightning Crystal, Thunder Valley during a Rainstorm.】

【Evolution Route 2: Thunder Flash Dragonfly: Tier 4 Thunderstorm Crystal *3, Thunder Jade *2, accept the erosion of lightning in a valley during a Rainstorm.】

Ye Bai suddenly discovered that the first evolution route did not specify the ratio of Thunder Core to lightning crystal stones.

In other words, this creature named Thunder God Dragonfly likely still requires experimental testing just like now.

When male Thunder Light Dragonflies and female Thunder Light Dragonflies connect their tails together, the electricity generation effect is even better.

The first, second, and third groups of Thunder Light Nymphs all evolved into Thunder Light Dragonflies.

As for the fourth and fifth groups, they cultivated a new type of Pet Beast, named Thunder Blast Dragonfly.

Its abdomen is very large, looking from afar like a pot-bellied fat man; its wings are strong and powerful, and electric arcs surge all over its body, emitting a crackling sound.

Only Ye Bai knows that this Pet Beast's belly is similar to a storage battery and is the Thunder Blast Dragonfly's electricity-generating organ.

【Name: Thunder Blast Dragonfly】

【Gender: Male】

【Characteristic: Static Electricity】

【Level: Tier 3, Level 1】

【Mastered Skills: Swift Thunder Flash (Proficient): Attack the opponent with lightning speed; its sharp Zhua will strike the opponent.】

Thunder Blast (Proficient): Quickly rush in front of the opponent and directly detonate the organs within its body, intending to perish together with the opponent.

Thunder Light (Proficient): Wrapped in Thunder Light, it slams fiercely into the opponent, giving the opponent a one-third probability of triggering a paralyzed state.

Thunder Fist (Beginner): The whole body is wrapped in electric current, concentrating all power into the fist before attacking the opponent.

Electric Net (Beginner): Summon a terrifying electric net to attack the opponent.】

【Evolution Route 1: None】

Upon seeing the Thunder Blast Dragonfly appear, Ye Bai smiled.

Hard work pays off; a brand new evolution route for the Thunder Light Nymph has finally been developed.

This unknown evolution route was researched by Ye Bai himself, and the special evolution materials used—Thunder Gall and the crystal core of an Ancient Lantern Fish—were all collected by the Sunflower Emperor.

Next, Ye Bai still needs to research whether only the Thunderstorm Crystal of an Ancient Lantern Fish is useful for the evolution of the Thunder Light Dragonfly, and if changing to other Thunderstorm Crystals could promote the evolution of the Thunder Light Nymph into a Thunder Light Dragonfly.

All of this is something Ye Bai needs to consider.

After the evolution, Ye Bai successively stored the Thunder Light Dragonflies and Thunder Blast Dragonflies into Beast Cards, and he performed various tests on the Thunder Light Dragonflies and Thunder Blast Dragonflies.

Judging from the detected data, the higher the ratio of Thunder Gall, the higher the probability of evolving into a Thunder Blast Dragonfly.

But Ye Bai also tested the electric current index within these Exotic Beasts.

The lower the ratio of Thunder Gall, the stronger the Thunder Light Dragonfly's ability to manipulate electric current; conversely, the higher the ratio of Thunder Gall, the stronger the explosive power of the electric-type skills.

The Thunder Blast Dragonfly is very suitable for attracting a large number of Dark Night Mosquitoes and then perishing together with them, though it is unknown how effective the Thunder Blast Dragonfly's explosion is.

Finally, Ye Bai reached a conclusion: the ratio of 3 parts Thunder Gall to 7 parts Ancient Lantern Fish Thunderstorm Crystal works best for the Thunder Light Dragonfly.

And for the Thunder Blast Dragonfly, it is exactly the opposite: the ratio of 7 parts Thunder Gall to 3 parts Ancient Lantern Fish Thunderstorm Crystal works best.

Ye Bai intends to mix these things into a potion to feed the Thunder Light Nymphs.

For one area, he will only feed one type of potion.

According to the results of Ye Bai's experimental records, each Thunder Light Nymph only needs to be fed the potion three times to be able to evolve.

However, Ye Bai still has to continue conducting experiments to verify whether the Thunder Light Dragonfly or the Thunder Blast Dragonfly eliminates more Dark Night Mosquitoes.

The next experiment to be conducted is even more crucial: the reproduction experiment.

Ye Bai needs to have these Thunder Light Dragonflies and Thunder Blast Dragonflies mate to produce new offspring.

He also has to test the hatching rate and the overall incubation time, so Ye Bai is quite busy.

The tails of male Thunder Light Dragonflies and Thunder Blast Dragonflies have plugs, while the tails of female Thunder Light Dragonflies and Thunder Blast Dragonflies have sockets.

Through the connection of their tails, they rapidly gestate insect eggs.

The bellies of the female Thunder Light Dragonflies and Thunder Blast Dragonflies underwent Expansion at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Subsequently, they flew to the side of the water trough and, like a dragonfly skimming the water, lightly tapped the water surface.

Crystal-clear insect eggs fell from the birth canals of the Thunder Light Dragonflies and Thunder Blast Dragonflies.

Ye Bai counted them; there were about twenty-plus eggs on each water trough. It seems the reproductive ability of the Thunder Light Dragonflies and Thunder Blast Dragonflies is not great.

But it also exceeded Ye Bai's expectations; Ye Bai thought the Thunder Light Dragonflies and Thunder Blast Dragonflies would have ten eggs at most, but he didn't expect there to be so many.

Usually, if he wanted to speed up the progress, Ye Bai would use a Nutritional Potion, but in order to show the most authentic experimental data, Ye Bai let the insect eggs hatch on the water surface.

Before long, the insect eggs cracked open, and Thunder Light Nymphs, each only the size of a thumb, fell into the water.

These Thunder Light Nymphs ate the eggshells directly into their bellies. Their original color was transparent and whitish; after eating the eggshells, the newborn Thunder Light Nymphs grew a bit larger, about the size of a fist.

However, golden electric arcs flashed on their bodies, and they did not look weak at all.

"Phew, a hatching rate reaching eighty percent is a pretty good result."

Those insect eggs that did not hatch were all divided up by the small Thunder Light Nymphs in the water trough.

"Dahui, Sunflower Emperor, I'm going out for a bit. You two help me monitor the recording well and see how long it takes for the Thunder Light Nymphs to grow to one meter in length."

"If you feel they are difficult to manage, just select a few and seal them into Beast Cards."

After Ye Bai finished speaking, he hurried to Depart, as he needed to report the experimental results to the two chairmen.

At the same time, he also wanted to test how the attack power of these two types of Exotic Beasts is.

Ye Bai found Chairman Wang, who was pacing and sighing, in the Pet Beast Guild office.

"Chairman Wang, reporting some good news."

"I have already figured out how the Thunder Light Nymph evolves into a Thunder Light Dragonfly."

"At the same time, during the research process, I discovered another subspecies of dragonfly, which can be considered a branch evolution of the Thunder Light Nymph."

"I can formulate potions to make the Thunder Light Nymph evolve into either a Thunder Light Dragonfly or a Thunder Blast Dragonfly."

Chairman Wang sighed deeply: "Ye Bai, how do you think we can completely defeat the Dark Night Mosquitoes and return a bright and clear sky to Jiaying City?"

Ye Bai suddenly spoke up and said, "President Wang, I wish to conduct a Pet Beast diversity battle. Please send me one thousand Dark Night Mosquitoes later; I want to see if the strength of the Thunder Light Dragonfly will improve after it evolves."

Capturing Dark Night Mosquitoes was still within the scope of President Wang's capabilities.

With a wave of President Wang's hand, the matter was handled as a special case.

Led by Secretary Liang, Ye Bai arrived at the Jing Ji Ping Tai; he was no stranger to this place, as he had spent some time here before.

"Ye Bai, for this battle, a defensive Barrier must be raised, otherwise I am afraid the Dark Night Mosquitoes will escape."

Secretary Liang gave Ye Bai a few words of caution.

Seeking votes.
