Chapter 117: The Second Option

"It's a Flame-Derivation Potion. Don't worry, it's good for Fire-type pet beasts," Liu Yao smiled.

Qiao Sang almost roared.

It was precisely because it was good for Fire-type pet beasts that she was worried!

"Do you remember I said why your Fire Tooth Dog's energy value exceeded the normal range but it hasn't evolved yet?" Liu Yao asked.

Qiao Sang was panicked, but still answered: "The energy value in its body hasn't reached saturation."

"Yes," Liu Yao nodded: "The energy value of pet beasts is nothing more than being improved based on three points: battle, self-growth, and corresponding resources."

"However, even with resources, it's not something that can be improved just because you want to."

"Pet beasts with high talent grow fast and absorb resources fast, while pet beasts with low talent grow slowly. Even if you feed them tree fruits like Myriad Flame Fruit that help improve energy, they can't absorb them."

"Some Beast Tamers, in order to make their pet beasts evolve as soon as possible, will inject or drink various energy potions for them, regardless of whether the pet beasts can bear it. This is undesirable."

"Your Fire Tooth Dog's energy value exceeds the normal range, and its talent is definitely top-notch. The fact that the energy value hasn't reached saturation is nothing more than it having entered a bottleneck period and temporarily unable to improve, or there is no corresponding energy for it to absorb."

"So I tested it by feeding it some Myriad Flame Fruit. If it were the former, it would feel full after eating one and couldn't eat anymore, but it finished a whole plate."

Speaking of this, Liu Yao looked at the Fire Tooth Dog full of smiles: "This shows that your Fire Tooth Dog has enough ability to absorb energy."

"Just now its teeth were itchy, indicating that the energy was nearing the saturation point. The effect of the Flame-Derivation Potion is similar to a Fire-type Evolution Stone, but it is gentler than an Evolution Stone."

"Evolution Stones have a forced improvement effect on pet beasts. Even if the energy in the pet beast's body hasn't reached saturation, using a high-grade Evolution Stone can complete evolution."

"And the Flame-Derivation Potion only takes effect when the energy of the pet beast can no longer be improved at the current stage. Looking at the Fire Tooth Dog's current state, if there are no accidents, it will take about half a day for the Flame-Derivation Potion to take effect perfectly."

Hearing the last sentence, Qiao Sang felt dark before her eyes and almost couldn't stand still.

Half a day? Evolution?

The next shoot is in half a month, right?

So, she breached the contract?!

"Tooth!"

The Fire Tooth Dog's eyes were fiery when it heard this.

Evolution!

It could finally evolve too!

Didn't evolution mean it could become stronger!

"Tooth!"

The Fire Tooth Dog turned its head and wanted to share the joy with its Beast Tamer for the first time.

But seeing its Beast Tamer's appearance, it was stunned, and the excitement that had just been there became confused.

Its Beast Tamer didn't seem very happy that it was evolving...

Liu Yao looked at Qiao Sang's expression and was stunned, asking: "What's wrong with you?"

Qiao Sang tried hard to pull the corners of her mouth, tears in her eyes: "I... am too excited."

"Don't worry about it. This is what a teacher should do. You just need to study hard and not live up to your own talent. If you have any other problems, just say them, and the teacher will help you solve them," Liu Yao smiled.

Qiao Sang laughed twice: "I want to live off-campus."

Liu Yao: "..."

"I also want to bring a phone during school."

"..."

After Qiao Sang left, Liu Yao sat in his chair and said confusedly: "Old Zhou Xian, I don't know if it's my illusion, but I always feel that Student Qiao Sang didn't seem very happy just now."

"Manifest."

The Sky-Manifesting Bat flapped its wings.

It wasn't an illusion. She wasn't happy when she heard the Fire Tooth Dog was going to evolve.

But why?

Who could refuse evolution?

It didn't understand either.

Qiao Sang returned to the dormitory, closed the door, and lay on the bed.

Hearing that the Fire Tooth Dog was going to evolve in half a day, she had no mood to continue participating in today's intensive training.

Although the Vice Principal didn't agree to her living off-campus and carrying a phone, he did agree to her skipping today's afternoon intensive training.

Qiao Sang lay on the bed with empty eyes, staring at the ceiling.

Breach of contract...

How much money will have to be paid...

She thought she had considered the half-year contract very thoroughly, but she didn't expect life to always come so unexpectedly...

"Tooth."

The Fire Tooth Dog looked at its Beast Tamer and no longer had the excitement it had when it knew it was about to evolve.

It hung its head by the bed, wondering what it was thinking.

The Little Treasure-Hunting Ghost looked at its Beast Tamer, then at the Fire Tooth Dog, took off its ring, took out milk from it, and first handed it to its Beast Tamer.

"Seek~"

"Seek seek~"

Qiao Sang was thinking about the breach of contract fee, and seeing the thing handed to her, she took it subconsciously.

The Little Treasure-Hunting Ghost's eyes curved and floated to the Fire Tooth Dog, taking out a bottle of milk.

"Seek~"

"Seek seek~"

The Fire Tooth Dog raised its head, its wet eyes looking at the milk and then at Qiao Sang, who was still in a daze.

"Tooth."

It shook its head and lowered its head again.

"Seek."

"Seek seek."

The Little Treasure-Hunting Ghost floated to the other side of the Fire Tooth Dog and pushed the milk forward.

"Tooth."

After the Fire Tooth Dog refused again, it walked to the corner of the room and sat down with its head hanging.

The Little Treasure-Hunting Ghost was stunned, then followed.

It put the milk on the ground, then floated to a position where the Fire Tooth Dog could see it, put its two short claws by its mouth, and pulled them hard to make a funny face.

The Fire Tooth Dog didn't react.

The Little Treasure-Hunting Ghost didn't give up and kept changing funny faces to try to make it happy.

"Seek~"

"Seek."

"Seek..."

The movement here finally attracted Qiao Sang's attention.

She came back to her senses, looked at the corner of the room, and was stunned when she saw the Fire Tooth Dog's listless appearance.

She quickly got up, got off the bed, walked over quickly, picked up the Fire Tooth Dog, and said worriedly: "Ya Bao, are you okay?"

This was the Fire Tooth Dog's first evolution, and she was also experiencing this for the first time. Seeing the Fire Tooth Dog's behavior, which was different from the past, she immediately worried if something went wrong.

The Fire Tooth Dog was stunned when it was suddenly picked up. It looked at its Beast Tamer's anxious appearance, its eyes felt sour, and it buried its head in its Beast Tamer's arms.

"Tooth."

It shook its head, not crying.

"Seek!"

"Seek seek!"

Seeing this, the Little Treasure-Hunting Ghost floated in front of its Beast Tamer and gestured.

Something is wrong, something is very wrong!

Qiao Sang could be said to know the Fire Tooth Dog very well. Looking at the Little Treasure-Hunting Ghost's gestures and recalling what had just happened, she immediately knew where the problem lay.

The Fire Tooth Dog had a very strong personality, and it must have been particularly excited about being able to evolve.

But as its Beast Tamer, she was full of emo, so it must have thought she wasn't happy about it evolving.

Qiao Sang sighed, held the Fire Tooth Dog above her head, looked into its eyes, and explained: "I'm actually very happy that you can evolve; I was just thinking about the endorsement."

"Do you remember the endorsement? The sunglasses I asked you to shoot last time. The endorsement was signed for half a year. According to the contract, you have to shoot again in half a month as a Fire Tooth Dog, otherwise, you have to pay money."

She didn't intend to say this herself, just like the last time she took off the Fire Tooth Dog's Fire-Condensing Bead, she just lied to it that it was to change the rope.

In her view, her own pet beast only needed to do what it liked—training, eating, playing—without worrying about other things.

Human society's affairs were too complicated for pet beasts, and besides, this was her responsibility.

But now the Fire Tooth Dog clearly misunderstood, and she didn't want it to misunderstand.

"Tooth."

The Fire Tooth Dog looked at its Beast Tamer, who was stunned there, and couldn't help but call out.

"But it's not a big problem, don't worry, just evolve," Qiao Sang said gently: "Do you remember the person we caught on the mountain last time? Because we caught him, we earned 5 million, which is enough for this breach of contract fee, and there will be a lot left over."

The Fire Tooth Dog looked at its Beast Tamer without blinking.

"To be honest, thinking that I can see your Burning Fire Dog form today, I'm still quite excited. Have you seen your own evolved form? It's handsome as hell!"

Qiao Sang was clearly trying to comfort the Fire Tooth Dog, but she ended up convincing herself.

Right, she still had 5 million. Isn't it just evolution! It's not like she can't afford it!

Qiao Sang put the Fire Tooth Dog on the bed and took out her phone to search for pictures of the Burning Fire Dog.

"Look, isn't it handsome?" Qiao Sang put the phone in front of the Fire Tooth Dog and asked with a smile.

The Fire Tooth Dog didn't look at the phone. It stared at its Beast Tamer and recalled the days they spent together after the contract.

It remembered that TV, that wall, that force tester, and that broken vase. Every time, its Beast Tamer was so miserable.

Now, because it drank something casually and had to evolve early, its Beast Tamer had to be miserable again.

Its Beast Tamer was clearly unhappy, but for its sake, she forced herself to be happy again.

It could feel that its Beast Tamer was truly happy now.

No one knew that at this moment, the page corresponding to the Fire Tooth Dog's evolution in Qiao Sang's Beast Taming Canon was glowing, and an evolution option had been added after the name.

There were two options in total, but the second option was flickering, sometimes the first option had a faint light, and sometimes the second option also had a faint light.

But it was clear that the first option was brighter.

The next second, a dazzling white light emitted from the Fire Tooth Dog's body. ===== CHAPTER 118 =====
