Chapter 438: Meeting

"We are also speaking about this matter from the perspective of selecting talent," the bald man who spoke first said again:

"All participating students have quite prominent talent in battling, and they spend most of their time training pet beasts for this competition."

"If they have worked so hard to get to this step, only to find that the battle hasn't even started before being moved out of the arena by Space Move, what will others think?"

In the video, a relatively gentle-looking middle-aged man pushed the gold-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his nose and said slowly:

"Using Space Move to directly move an opponent out of the arena is exploiting a loophole in the rules. Since there is a loophole, we should fix it."

"That's right," the younger man echoed: "Rules themselves are constantly being optimized. Selecting the strongest students is the purpose of our National Campus Beast Taming League."

"Besides, we aren't going to ban the skill of Space Move, but ban contestants from using Space Move to directly move opponents out of the arena."

The gray-haired old man added:

"This rule definitely needs to be added. It wasn't there before only because we didn't expect that there would be contestants who would cultivate a pet beast's Space Move to this extent."

Other leaders remained silent, not expressing their opinions for a while.

It seems it's 1v12. What to do? I'm afraid it's useless even if I talk until my mouth breaks... The middle-aged man whose cheeks were sagging on both sides frowned.

At this time, a soft female voice sounded:

"I think Minister Zhou was right originally. The rules can be changed, but we have to wait until the next session. Otherwise, a contestant just used this move, and we change it now; it inevitably looks like we are targeting someone."

Minister Zhou was shocked.

He didn't expect the leader of the Guwu region to actually speak for the contestant from their Yuhua region.

Could it be because of Bing Kexilu?

As the contestant with the most hope of winning the championship in the Yuhua region, Minister Zhou knew Qiao Sang like the back of his hand.

The woman continued:

"Space Move isn't a skill that ensures 100% successful transfer of an opponent just by looking at them. The reason this contestant succeeded was, first, because the opponent was within the range where the Xunbao Demon could cast Space Move and didn't pull away to a safe enough position; second, because the opponent didn't expect the Xunbao Demon to use this move, so there was almost no defense. Otherwise, with Kexilu Tower's psychic power and energy one level higher, it could completely perform mental interference on the Xunbao Demon, making it unable to perform coordinate positioning, and it could also perform mental defense, refusing Space Move."

"And according to the data, this contestant used Space Move to move an opponent out of the arena for the first time."

"In the end, the Xunbao Demon is only an intermediate pet beast, and the national finals mainly look at high-tier pet beasts. As long as the contestants participating in the national finals learn about this situation in advance and prepare as early as possible, I believe they will think of corresponding countermeasures with their talent."

Minister Zhou's eyes lit up upon hearing this, and he stood up, excited:

"Well said!"

After being excited, he seemed to realize it was inappropriate and sat down silently under everyone's gaze.

"Isn't the Xunbao Demon a ghost-type pet beast?" A middle-aged man with a gloomy temperament, who hadn't spoken before, asked as if he had heard a topic he was interested in.

"The contestant's Xunbao Demon has the psychic attribute," the bald man replied.

Except for Minister Zhou of the Yuhua region, Minister Lan of the Guwu region, and the bald man, Minister Zhang of the Xilu region, who were not surprised, the other leaders were all stunned, clearly knowing this news for the first time.

The meeting was too rushed, and they only received the news that a contestant from the Yuhua region directly used Space Move to move an opponent out of the arena, and they didn't know anything else.

The people present were all leaders from the highest power organs of each region, and they were all busy to death, so how could they know every participating contestant clearly.

At most, they would recognize some contestants when they reached the national finals.

To say they would remember, except for the national champion, the second place would probably be forgotten after a while.

After all, the National Campus Beast Taming League is not just individual battle matches, but also team battle matches, individual coordination matches, and team coordination matches.

Except for the most outstanding one, it's really too difficult for others to be noticed.

The middle-aged man with a gloomy temperament pondered for a few seconds and expressed his view:

"Being able to cultivate a ghost-type pet beast's Space Move to this extent is also part of strength. Since we want to select the contestant with the highest strength, I think we shouldn't restrict others' opportunities to demonstrate their strength."

Minister Zhou quickly said: "I think Minister Yang's words make a lot of sense!"

He didn't expect Minister Yang to speak for the contestant from their Yuhua region, but thinking about it carefully, it wasn't surprising.

Minister Yang is the leader of the Zhitiya region.

And as everyone knows, the Zhitiya region is the only region among the 13 regions where ghost-type pet beasts are popular.

People in that region have a unique preference for ghost-type pet beasts, and the Zhitiya region doesn't have any popular candidates for the championship, so whether this rule is added or not doesn't affect their region.

"You can't say it like that," the bald man frowned and said:

"Space Move is different from other skills. This kind of winning without fighting must be banned. Otherwise, once this example is set, everyone will contract psychic pet beasts in the future, and instead of practicing anything else, they will only practice this move. What then?"

"As far as I know, this contestant from the Yuhua region is only 15 years old, and her Beast Taming Canon has been developed to three pages. Currently, she has two high-tier pet beasts and one intermediate pet beast."

"There is a fire-type pet beast called Liao Xing Dog whose Fire Star Rain has been practiced to the profound truth level, and another Bing Kexilu whose Ice Flower Seal can bloom dozens of ice flowers. The Xunbao Demon should be the weakest of her three pet beasts."

"Since her strength is so strong, restricting Space Move won't cause any problems."

"I recognize her talent and strength extremely well. She can completely win the respect of others in the national finals by her strength. But if she uses Space Move to directly move an opponent out of the arena again, she will definitely be criticized."

"If Minister Zhou is really doing this for the contestant from your region, you shouldn't stop this rule from being added."

The meeting was silent for a full dozen seconds.

Almost everyone found it difficult to control their facial expressions, showing shock and astonishment.

This session of the National Campus Beast Taming League actually produced such a perverted contestant?

Minister Zhou was purely recalling the words just now. He felt that Minister Zhang of the Xilu region didn't speak without reason.

If Qiao Sang won the match by relying on Space Move to directly move the opponent out of the arena, even if she really won the championship in the end, she would probably be questioned by most people.

But if he just agreed to restrict the use of Space Move, he felt unwilling.

Who let the contestant who can cultivate Space Move to this extent only be in their Yuhua region...

In the atmosphere that couldn't be quieter, the leader of the Zhongkong region, Minister Yan, finally spoke:

"What is this student's name?"

Minister Zhou's thoughts returned, and he answered respectfully: "Her name is Qiao Sang."

There are also differences between ministers and ministers.

The Zhongkong region is the central region of the Dragon Kingdom, and the capital is built there. The official with the same position has the highest administrative level in the Zhongkong region.

Minister Yan asked: "How are her usual grades?"

Not great... Minister Zhou thought for a moment and phrased it: "Not bad, she got into the best high school in their city."

Minister Yan pondered for a while, his expression steady:

"How about this, you go and contact her, and tell this student named Qiao Sang not to use Space Move to directly transfer opponents out of the arena in the national finals."

"If she wins the top two in the national finals, I will take charge and let her be an interstellar exchange student, and at the same time arrange for her to enter the high school senior special class there, enjoying the power to apply for universities uniformly with the high school seniors of this session."

Although Qiao Sang is participating in the National Campus Beast Taming League for the high school senior section, she is only 15 years old and is a high school freshman.

According to the regulations, a high school freshman who has won the quota for an interstellar exchange student in the high school senior section competition is indeed with the high school seniors in terms of pet beast training, but in terms of learning, she still has to study in high school freshman year.

That is to say, even if she won the special admission qualification for a top university, she would have to wait until her senior year to apply.

But now with Minister Yan's words, Qiao Sang has hope of being a high school senior graduate and stepping into university two years early.

Ah? What? Let Qiao Sang enter the high school senior special class of the interstellar exchange school? Can she keep up with those grades?

Minister Zhou was stunned for a long time and finally nodded:

"Okay, I'll go contact her."

"As for this rule," Minister Yan said unhurriedly: "Wait until the next National Campus Beast Taming League to officially announce it."

More than a dozen ministers from various regions didn't speak, which was considered tacit approval.

They knew that as long as Minister Zhou went to talk to Qiao Sang, no matter from what aspect, she would agree.

No student can refuse the suggestion of graduating two years early.

Minister Yan said:

"Since no one has any objections."

"Meeting adjourned!"
