Chapter 490

A department head, a big shot... Qiao Sang smiled and greeted him:

"Hello, Department Head Zhou."

"I was watching from below the whole time during the national competition." Department Head Zhou looked at Qiao Sang, a smile blooming uncontrollably on his face. "Winning the championship at 15 by sweeping through the high school division is a first in the history of the entire National Campus Beast Taming League. You have truly brought honor to our Yuhua region."

After hearing the praise, Qiao Sang was just about to be humble.

At this moment, Liu Yao spoke up:

"Let's not stand here. Let's find a seat and chat while we eat."

Upon hearing this, Qiao Sang's first reaction was to refuse.

Eating with leaders is the most annoying thing...

Of course, she couldn't say this out loud. Qiao Sang obediently followed behind the vice principal and the others to a seat by the window and sat down.

"This is my first time seeing a Flare Star Dog from such a close distance." Department Head Zhou looked at Like Ya Bao, who was holding milk and drinking, and said, "It really looks quite impressive."

"Ya."

Like Ya Bao understood and called out to the person in front of it, indicating that he had good taste.

After chatting for a while longer, Department Head Zhou suddenly remembered something and turned to Liu Yao: "I remember that you are the person in charge of the project researching the latest evolution of the Fire Tooth Dog."

Department Head Zhou is in charge of education and doesn't know much about research. He only knew about this because Qiao Sang's pet beast is a Flare Star Dog, and Liu Yao happens to be the vice principal of Qiao Sang's school.

Liu Yao nodded: "It is me."

Department Head Zhou said earnestly: "Researching this takes a lot of time. Qiao Sang is about to take the college entrance exam. It would be best for her to focus on her studies during this period. The research can wait."

Qiao Sang was stunned.

College entrance exam?

Who is taking the college entrance exam?!

Liu Yao said solemnly: "I know. Our research progress is currently stuck on the Flame Listening Dog. By the time we research the first-stage evolution, it will definitely be after the college entrance exam. The need for the Flare Star Dog to cooperate with the research will also be later, so it won't delay Qiao Sang's studies."

Department Head Zhou took a sip of his drink: "That's good."

Hey, hey, hey! What are you guys talking about?! What college entrance exam?! Qiao Sang was confused for a long time and asked tentatively:

"Isn't the college entrance exam only for high school seniors?"

Department Head Zhou said with surprise:

"Didn't your teacher tell you? Department Head Yan from the Zhongkong region said that as long as you didn't let the Ghost Ring Ghost use Space Move to directly teleport the opponent out of the arena during the national competition, you could get a spot as an interstellar exchange student when you won the top two in the national competition, and you could also participate in this year's college entrance exam as an exception, just like a high school senior."

Liu Yao looked over at this time: "Teacher Sun should have told you."

He knew about this too. Although Sun Boyi didn't seem very useful during the competition, he shouldn't be this unreliable.

Dead memories suddenly struck, flashing through her mind like a revolving lantern.

Qiao Sang's expression was dazed.

She remembered now. She was quite excited at the time, but later she devoted herself entirely to the national competition and forgot about it.

No wonder Department Head Yan from the Zhongkong region said "Good luck on the college entrance exam" during the awards ceremony...

College entrance exam... So she has to prepare for the college entrance exam now?!

No, she didn't agree to it at the time. Although it would be cool to end her high school career early, there are only a few months left until the college entrance exam. With her grades, how can she get into those top universities... A brainstorm erupted in Qiao Sang's mind.

On one hand, there is the temptation of graduating early.

On the other hand, there is a profound realization of her identity as a "poor student."

College entrance exam, no college entrance exam, college entrance exam, no college entrance exam... Qiao Sang took a deep breath, looked at Department Head Zhou, and asked:

"If my college entrance exam results are not ideal, can I continue to take it next year?"

With these grades, she should indeed worry about this... Department Head Zhou smiled:

"Of course. After all, you are only a freshman, and you won first place in the high school division of the National Campus Beast Taming League. It would be a pity if you couldn't get into your dream school because of poor cultural scores. Naturally, you can continue to take it next year."

So if I don't pass, I can take it again next year. Then there's no problem... Qiao Sang felt relieved.

Department Head Zhou asked: "Have you thought about what university you want to apply to?"

Qiao Sang shook her head: "No."

She had been thinking about the competition during this time and hadn't thought about anything else at all.

Department Head Zhou's eyes lit up. He opened his briefcase and took out several documents that had been prepared long ago and placed them in front of Qiao Sang:

"These are the materials for several top universities in our Yuhua region. They contain relevant introductions, as well as the test assessment items conducted during special admissions in previous years. Take a look, maybe it will help you choose a school."

You think too highly of me, actually giving me materials for top universities directly... Qiao Sang quickly took them: "Thank you, Department Head Zhou."

Top universities, which are the schools at the top of the pyramid in the Dragon Kingdom, have always been accessible only to the most outstanding students each year.

Qiao Sang won the championship, but she still has to pass the D-level Beast Tamer assessment qualification to sign up for special admissions to top universities.

And among the competitors in special admissions, at least everyone has achieved first place in the province.

Compared to Qiao Sang's national championship, this naturally doesn't count for much. It's just that the spots for special admissions are limited, and there is no pressure on the test assessments, but in terms of cultural scores, she has to compete with high school seniors who have two more years of learning experience than her. The pressure is not small.

Qiao Sang flipped through them a few times, and her gaze finally settled on the materials for Yuhua University.

Seeing this, Department Head Zhou understood:

"You can consider Yuhua University. Yuhua University sets independent questions and cut-off lines for the cultural scores of special admissions every year. Compared to the college entrance exam, the question types are much simpler. As long as you pass, you don't need to take the college entrance exam."

"It's just that the test assessments regarding beast taming will be much harder, but I believe you definitely won't have a problem with this."

No need for the college entrance exam... This school is good... Qiao Sang couldn't help but feel moved.

Department Head Zhou chatted aimlessly, almost talking about all the famous universities in the Yuhua region.

After he left, Liu Yao, who hadn't said much, spoke up:

"I suggest you consider those top universities in the Zhongkong region or Star Island University in the Zhongdao region."

Qiao Sang was stunned: "It should be harder to get into top universities in other regions, right?"

Because the pet beasts in each region are different, and there are differences in the level of education and differentiation in different regions, the questions for the college entrance exam in each region are not the same, and the admission cut-off scores are also very different.

The resources and teaching environment in the Zhongkong region and Zhongdao region are above those in the Yuhua region. It is much harder to get into top universities in these two regions than to get into top universities in the Yuhua region.

Liu Yao looked at Qiao Sang and asked: "Will you stay in the Yuhua region forever?"

Qiao Sang answered without thinking: "Of course not."

"Then go to a better school. Although those in the Yuhua region are also top universities, they haven't even ranked in the top ten in the country." Liu Yao said seriously, word by word:

"Your beast taming talent is the only one I have ever seen in my life. You should have a better future. It would be a pity not to aim for the best top universities in the country."

"I believe you have absolute certainty of passing the assessment tests of any school. As for the cultural scores..."

Liu Yao paused here and continued: "If you don't pass this year, you still have next year. If you don't pass next year, you can take it again. You have three chances for the college entrance exam. Since you want to go to a broader world, why not set your goal bigger."

Qiao Sang's spirit was lifted.

That's right, her goal is to participate in the Interstellar Cup. For a mere university, what is there to be afraid of thinking about!
