Chapter 508: Points Ranking

The Beast Codex really did break through to the fourth page… Qiao Sang felt a surge of joy in her heart.

Yesterday, when she learned her brain domain had developed to 29%, she had already guessed a breakthrough might be possible.

But now that it had truly broken through, she still couldn't help feeling excited.

After all, a four-page Beast Codex was one of the assessment conditions for a C-rank Beast Master. Once she successfully certified as a C-rank Beast Master, she would qualify to participate in the Regional Tournament.

One had to know that the Regional Tournament was the largest-scale competition in every major region.

It gathered almost all professional Beast Masters in the region with high talent and impressive strength, representing the highest combat level among the younger generation of professional Beast Masters in their respective regions.

Without exception, every younger-generation professional Beast Master set the Regional Tournament as their goal — the honor was one thing, but becoming famous was also real.

Any contestant who had participated in the Regional Tournament and achieved decent results would receive so many invitations and endorsement deals from major TV stations that their hands would go soft, and for a considerable length of time afterward they wouldn't have to worry about resources.

Although their level of attention was like that of celebrities, their social status and earnings were far higher than celebrities'.

The Interstellar Cup was too far away — no one even dared to think about it. The Regional Tournament was already the dream of all professional Beast Masters, and Qiao Sang naturally wanted to participate.

Qiao Sang's gaze was resentful: "He's the champion, you're the runner-up. How could the points be the same?"

"Looks like your class got a troublemaker." The students below discussed loudly.

"That outside student probably doesn't care about points that much, right?"

"But that person is an Interstellar exchange student who came here after winning the championship. Resources aren't a worry. Even if you have zero points, your family members would still say you're right."

Qiao Sang continued:

"Yaya."

Tang Yi: "???"

"Where can I check my initial points?"

"Don't say it, you're making it sound like you're envious too…"

Already assessing ability in junior high — worthy of a small clan… Tang Yi asked: "How do you earn points?"

"Nothing to envy. Your school uses a points system, and you were promoted directly from junior high one. Your grades aren't bad, but besides beast battles and wilderness assessments, you'll have a hard time earning points in other courses. Being late once deducts 3 points — a few times and your initial points will be all gone."

Qiao Sang said:

Two days of school, two days late — not to mention in the Elite Class, even in the entire Sainan Junior High there were only a few.

"What about him?" Tang Yi sorted out her mood, looked up, and asked.

Damn! The seventh day of school, and you're going to be late again?!

"At Sainan Junior High, resources are basically exchanged with points. 3 points can be exchanged for resources worth 800,000 on the market. By that logic, just treat 1 point as 100,000 Alliance coins."

Facing the gaze of the entire class, Tang Yi calmly walked to her seat and sat down.

Yaya called out once, indicating she had been awake for a long time.

"How many points does he have?" Qiao Sang asked impatiently.

Tang Yi looked at Tang Dai, signaling her to continue speaking.

"Check Sainan Junior High's official website. He just needs to log in with his student number to see it." Qiao Sang said.

"Who said that." Qiao Sang sighed: "We're all born into small clans. Resources might not matter much to us, but we do care about the points ranking."

Tang Dai's heart wept — so the difference between champion and runner-up was that huge! 20 points or something like that was completely unspeakable!

Those two short sentences were like sharp arrows piercing through Tang Yi's heart.

"He usually reads books, so there's always a chance to find him to chat." Qiao Sang lowered her voice at this point: "People here won't take the initiative to tell you those things."

"Look at his grades in each subject, or earn certain honors for the school. He can also help classmates or teachers with some tasks. Points can be transferred — people here basically use points to conduct transactions."

She explained:

At that moment, Yaya's voice sounded from the side.

"Ya!"

Qiao Sang glanced at Tang Yi — that gaze was like looking at a primitive person still using 2G network.

Tang Yi: "……"

Qiao Sang answered patiently:

Tang Yi: "!!!"

Being late — what others think isn't important. What's important is missing another half-class's worth of content.

Qiao Sang turned her head and saw the spirited Yaya, somewhat surprised: "You're awake?"

"I know you're short on resources, but there are some items here that can be exchanged that you can't buy on the market. I looked at the exchange system yesterday — there are some SSS-rank resources on it."

Tang Dai was stunned for a moment, recalling that Tang Yi read books all day long and didn't really interact with people much. Not knowing about Sainan Junior High's points system seemed pretty normal.

"Why?" Tang Yi asked.

Awkward — so initial points were based on that… Tang Yi coughed and said:

600,000, just gone like that…

Awake for a long time? Tang Yi was stunned for a moment, lowered her head to check the time on her phone — 7:58.

Wait, someone just said being late once deducts 3 points. I've been late two days — doesn't that mean 600,000 is just gone?!

"What's Sainan Junior High's points system?"

After finally coming to visit Super Su Xing, it would be a shame not to contract a pet beast here.

She grabbed her phone from the coffee table, immediately wanting to go online and check for pet beasts suitable for contracting.

Waiting until the next break between classes, Tang Dai turned her head and asked Tang Yi in the front row:

Tang Yi walked into the classroom, drawing the attention of the entire class.

After listening, Tang Yi digested the information for a moment and said:

……

"Totally envious…"

"Definitely, if the points are too high, the family will think that person is capable. Once they're judged as capable, it'll be hard for them to be reused by the family in the future."

Qiao Sang was silent for two seconds: "He guessed?"

The surrounding classmates' conversation muddily fell into Tang Yi's ears; no matter how your expression changed, just pretend you heard it.

Tang Daixin was moved and asked: "Are your initial points the same?"

Tang Yi was silent for a long time: "Has no one ever told you that..."

"Right, how many points is his initial score?"

"It's true that we might think you don't need these resources, after all you only stay here for half a year. If you want to exchange for things not available on the market, your points aren't enough, and the things available on the market you don't think you lack."

Tang Yi's expression not looking too good said: "94 points."

"The points ranking is a list that judges the students here in all aspects. We care about it, and our parents will care about it too."

"Who told you you're interstellar exchange students." Qiao Sang said in a low voice: "Their points are calculated from the first, you guys only came in the first half of the eighth grade, the good stuff won't be轮到 you to exchange. The teachers here are all Super Su Xing's, to them you guys are just here to experience a different way of learning."

94 points, clearly already been deducted 6 points.

So that's how it is... Taking advantage of there still being no class, Tang Yi took out his phone and quickly opened the school official website, logging into his account.

"Others are interstellar exchange students, being late to school every day and the school can't do anything to you."
