Chapter 833: Steel Sword Falcon

The chatting audience fell silent in an instant.

Everyone stared blankly at the blinding white light on the stage, their expressions filled with astonishment and confusion.

Elodie, who had been waving her hand in preparation to celebrate victory, watched the dazzling white light, her expression shifting from joy to shock bit by bit, muttering to herself:

"You've got to be kidding..."

Evolution light.

Almost everyone in the audience was a Beast Tamer; they couldn't be more familiar with such a glow.

At a single glance, they recognized it as the light everyone hoped to see shine from their own pet beasts.

To be honest, pet beast evolution isn't anything particularly extraordinary.

Especially when pet beasts are in their early stages, as long as enough resources are provided and some time is spent, they will always evolve.

Even evolving from High-tier to General-tier is just a matter of resources and talent; the only difference is the length of the cultivation time.

Examples of pet beasts evolving during a match are rare, and in coordination competitions, they are even more pitifully scarce, but they aren't entirely non-existent. There are even dedicated highlight reels online of pet beasts evolving during matches.

Any one of those, if singled out, would be more exhilarating than the scene on stage right now, because those were evolutions during a battle, and the match had to continue afterward, full of unpredictability and excitement, which is why they always ignite the deep-seated passion within everyone.

But now, the match was over.

Even if it evolved, it couldn't change the result of the match.

Yet, the white light before their eyes was more shocking than any white light they had seen evolve during the competition.

This was a shock that could only be understood after knowing what kind of existence the Steel Slash Giant Falcon was.

"Steel Slash Giant Falcon, evolved? Am I seeing things?"

In the audience, someone confirmed in disbelief.

"It is evolution, this is indeed the light of evolution..." their companion responded in a dream-like voice.

"But, I remember the reports saying the Steel Slash Giant Falcon only just evolved a few months ago?"

"No, no, no, the problem now is, isn't the Steel Slash Giant Falcon a brand-new form? How did it evolve? Did anything just happen?"

No one responded, because the white light had already dissipated at this moment.

Everyone stared with dull expressions at the massive figure they had never seen before.

About a dozen meters in size, because it was so massive, it was hard to estimate visually. Its entire body was almost covered in silver, steel-like hard armor, making its torso look very heavy. Its huge wings were like pieces of sharp blades combined together. The parts covered under the armor revealed purple feathers, and its head, which had silver armor, only revealed a black lower beak and sharp, dark red eyes.

It looked both calm and powerful, making people look on with awe.

This is the evolved form of the Steel Slash Giant Falcon... Everyone widened their eyes, their breathing rapid.

A few seconds later, the entire venue erupted completely.

"The Steel Slash Giant Falcon really evolved! How did it evolve? Someone tell me!"

"My god! The evolved form of the Steel Slash Giant Falcon looks so domineering! I love it!"

"If Qiao Sang were participating in a Beast Taming battle, just based on this evolution, she could at least fight for another three hundred rounds!"

"I have a very immature thought. It is said that the Steel Slash Giant Falcon's previous form, the Steel Guard Falcon, was also a bond evolution. Do you think the Steel Slash Giant Falcon evolved this time relying on bond power as well?"

"Holy crap! What you said makes a lot of sense! The Steel Slash Giant Falcon evolved after Qiao Sang shouted 'Gangbao'; maybe that moment triggered mysterious bond power!"

"That's too outrageous. Is bond evolution that easy? Clearly, nothing happened just now; it just lost a match."

"The existence of Qiao Sang herself is outrageous. The fact that the Little Steel Falcon species can continuously bond evolve is also outrageous. Anyway, whatever happens to her, no matter how outrageous, I can accept it. After all, she has already cultivated two General-tier pet beasts to learn super-tier skills."

"I can't accept it! Please, the Steel Slash Giant Falcon's species is the Little Steel Falcon, the species that was cultivated into an Emperor-tier Solid Armor Gudo and still forcibly broke its contract with its Beast Tamer. Is it really that easy for it to bond evolve at every stage? Wake up! It must be some other evolution path!"

Everyone discussed passionately while taking out their phones to take pictures frantically.

"Steel Sword."

Amidst the noisy sounds, Gangbao looked at its Beast Tamer.

It evolved... Qiao Sang stood in place, stunned for a long time, finally reacting. Suppressing the wild joy in her heart, she said in her mind:

"Restore to the appearance of the Steel Slash Giant Falcon."

Gangbao had already bond evolved twice in a row. Plus the power that seemed to connect with Gangbao that erupted in her heart just now, she clearly knew that Gangbao's current form was a bond evolution.

The match was lost, but if it was confirmed in front of the public that Gangbao was a bond evolution, Gangbao's goal would still be achieved, and the effect might even be better.

Everyone's thoughts are different. Gangbao bond evolved three times in a row; just based on this, there will definitely be voices online vindicating the Little Steel Falcon species!

Gangbao took a step forward.

This step made the entire stage seem to tremble.

"Thunder Light..."

The Thunder Light Lizard looked up with a dull expression at the opponent in front, whose appearance had changed greatly and was much taller than itself, subconsciously taking a step back.

In its impression, those much taller than it were generally stronger than it...

Gangbao glanced at the audience, where camera flashes were constantly blinking. Its body size slowly shrank, its appearance changed accordingly, and it restored to the appearance of the Steel Slash Giant Falcon.

Afterward, it pressed the micro-shrinking bracelet, and its body size shrank again.

It walked to its Beast Tamer, raised its head, opened its wings, which were still full of scars, and flew onto its Beast Tamer's shoulder to stand still.

The people in the audience, seeing this scene, fell silent for another moment.

Especially those who questioned whether the Steel Slash Giant Falcon's evolution this time was a bond evolution, one by one, they closed their mouths, then slowly opened them wide, looking like fools.

On the stage,

Qiao Sang suddenly realized something, paused, and then turned and walked quickly to the lift to stand still.

The lift descended slowly, leaving only Elodie and the Thunder Light Lizard on the field.

Clearly, the winner of the match was still on the field, but everyone's gaze had followed the losing side from beginning to end. Even when the other party disappeared, they were still staring at the position of the lift.

If I remember correctly, I should have won this match... Elodie looked at the surrounding audience, then at the position of the opposite lift, her expression slightly bitter.

"Let, let us see who the next group of contestants to appear are!" The host finally remembered the process.

Some photographers heard something in their earpieces and ran to the backstage carrying their cameras.

Backstage.

Qiao Sang came down from the lift, ignored the gazes of the staff, raised her hand, hugged Gangbao, and after arriving at a place with no one, put it down gently.

"Steel Slash..."

Gangbao's body swayed.

Seeing it was about to fall, Qiao Sang supported its head with her hand.

Immediately afterward, she formed seals with both hands and summoned Lubao.

Like Ya Bao and the others were the same as yesterday, watching the match backstage. Lubao naturally also saw Gangbao's match and the scene of its evolution.

Without a word, the gem on its forehead lit up with blue light, shining on Gangbao's body.

"Yaya!"

"Xunxun!"

Just as the healing light lit up, Like Ya Bao and Little Xunbao appeared in front of them out of thin air, their faces full of excitement.

However, when they saw Gangbao lying on the ground with its eyes closed, seriously injured, their expressions changed instantly, turning into worry.

After about a few seconds, the blue light dissipated, and Gangbao stood up unscathed.

"Yaya!"

Like Ya Bao became excited again, called out, indicating that the match just now was too wonderful, it's just a pity there was a time limit, otherwise the winner would definitely be you!

"Xunxun!"

Little Xunbao was even more excited, floating around Gangbao.

The fourth child has become stronger, and it has been recognized as the boss by it. Maybe it will really replace Like Ya Bao's status as the boss in the future!

"Bingai."

Lubao's tail swayed, feeling happy for Gangbao's evolution just now.

"Steel Slash..."

Gangbao looked up at its Beast Tamer, its expression disappointed.

It lost...

Qiao Sang smiled: "Let's go back first."

"Xunxun~"

Little Xunbao's eyes glowed blue, and it took Qiao Sang, Like Ya Bao, and the others and disappeared from the spot.

One hour later.

Villa.

Living room.

Qiao Sang babbled on for a long time about the benefits of evolution, then concluded: "That's how it is, so don't worry. In the eyes of the public, your bond evolution this time has an even better effect than winning the championship of the coordination competition."

"Steel Slash?"

Gangbao felt puzzled.

But it also bond evolved the previous two times, and it didn't seem to have a particularly good effect.

"That's because the publicity wasn't enough. You evolved under the eyes of the public this time, and this competition has a dedicated platform for live streaming, with many people watching. Believe me, in a few hours, everyone in the First Region will receive the news of your bond evolution again," Qiao Sang said firmly.

As soon as she finished speaking, the front door was pushed open violently.

Bilite walked in quickly, looked at Qiao Sang, then at Gangbao, took a deep breath, and asked with burning eyes:

"I heard the Steel Slash Giant Falcon bond evolved temporarily again?"

Qiao Sang looked at Gangbao, her eyes saying: Look at what I told you.

"Steel Slash."

Gangbao's eyes curved, revealing a smile.

After finishing the eye contact with Gangbao, Qiao Sang said "Um": "It evolved in today's coordination competition."

"Amazing!" Bilite patted Qiao Sang's shoulder hard, praising her without reservation: "To let a pet beast bond evolve three times in less than a year, if those old guys who specialize in studying bond power knew about you, they would definitely take you under their wing."

After speaking, he looked at Gangbao, interested:

"Hurry up and let the Steel Slash Giant Falcon evolve for me to see."

Qiao Sang smiled: "We have to go outside; Gangbao's body size is too big after evolution."

"Hurry up, I can't wait!" Bilite said, picking up Gangbao, tucking it under his arm, and walking quickly toward the outdoor training ground.

"Steel Slash..."

Gangbao cooperated with a lifeless expression, not moving.

This is its Beast Tamer's teacher, endure it, it's no big deal...

Gangbao, you've worked hard... Qiao Sang followed quickly.

The two arrived at the outdoor training ground.

Bilite loosened his arm.

Gangbao flapped its wings, stabilizing its figure in mid-air.

Afterward, it revealed a serious expression.

Bilite watched with full expectation.

Tick, tick...

After ten seconds passed quietly like this, Gangbao was still the same as before.

"Steel Slash..."

Gangbao looked at its Beast Tamer with a slightly confused expression.

It seems, it can't control its evolution like before...

What's going on... Qiao Sang was stunned.

She remembered that Gangbao could always evolve temporarily at any time before, it just had a time limit.

"What's wrong?" Bilite noticed the eye contact between Qiao Sang and Gangbao and asked.

Qiao Sang told the truth: "Gangbao seems unable to control its temporary evolution."

Bilite was stunned for a moment, then thought of something, and laughed:

"I almost forgot, bond evolution in the early stages cannot be controlled at will. It only works when the bond power is sufficient in the later stages."

Qiao Sang heard this and remembered Tang Yi's Palelulu, which indeed couldn't be controlled at will at the beginning.

Gangbao could control its bond evolution at will twice in a row, which almost made her forget this...

But why did it work the first two times, but not this time? Could it be that the bond power is not enough... Qiao Sang couldn't help but ponder, recalling the details of Gangbao's evolution.

She remembered that she didn't have any particularly strong feelings during Gangbao's first two evolutions, but this time... Qiao Sang quickly thought of something, looked at Gangbao, and said in her mind:

"Try again."

"Steel Slash." Gangbao nodded with a serious expression.

The feeling of shouting Gangbao during the match... Qiao Sang made eye contact with Gangbao, trying hard to recall the feeling of her heartbeat accelerating and some kind of power gushing out.

"Your Steel Slash Giant Falcon has already bond evolved temporarily once. Next, as long as you deepen the bond, you can control the evolution freely. Once the Steel Slash Giant Falcon absorbs enough energy, it can officially evolve." Bilite sighed: "It's a pity you are going back to Blue Star soon, and I am staying here. I'm afraid I won't be able to see the Steel Slash Giant Falcon's evolved form for a long time."

As soon as he finished speaking, a blinding white light lit up before their eyes.

Bilite: "???"

The white light gradually expanded. When it completely dissipated, a pet beast nearly thirteen meters in size, almost entirely wrapped in silver-white armor, both strange and familiar, appeared before their eyes.

Is this the power that makes pet beasts bond evolve... Qiao Sang recalled the feeling just now, then thought of something, her consciousness entered the Beast Taming Codex, and she quickly flipped to the page about Gangbao.
