Chapter 994: Competition and Friendship Coexist

The commotion on the arena was like being pressed on the mute button, silent.

Everyone's eyes widened almost synchronously.

The Mechanical-type pet beast quickly put down the green flag it hadn't fully raised and disappeared from where it stood.

"Evolution Light!" After about two seconds, on the commentary stage, Tian Yiwan suddenly woke up, widened his eyes, stood up, couldn't believe it, and said excitedly: "It's Evolution Light! Steel Sword Falcon has evolved!"

Tang Xueran also stood up, so excited that her voice cracked:

"This is the first pet beast in this regional competition to evolve during a battle! It is also the first time we have witnessed an alien pet beast evolve during a battle with our own eyes!"

"Audience friends, please allow me to calm down my excited mood at this moment!"

Tang Xueran took a deep breath and then said: "Maybe some audience members don't know yet; you must know that Steel Sword Falcon is a brand-new evolution form, and it is also the first case in the interstellar space. The subsequent evolution forms haven't been studied yet. Now, at this very moment! What we are about to witness is the first case! It is history!"

Tian Yiwan added in a passionate tone:

"Audience friends! The match isn't over!"

"Xunxun!"

"Xunxun!"

Little Xunbao in the family area finally couldn't help but appear, took away the cheering stick in Liu Yao's hand, waved it frantically while shouting excitedly.

People around were still shocked by the lighting up of the Evolution Light, so they didn't pay much attention to Little Xunbao's side.

However, this sound made them feel like they had just woken up, and the commotion rose like a tide, and the scene instantly exploded, with people's voices boiling.

"Damn! Evolved! Steel Sword Falcon evolved!"

"Ahhh! I only saw pet beasts evolving during battles on the internet before, but now I finally saw it with my own eyes!"

"No, is this Bond Evolution?"

"Definitely, it's said that Steel Sword Falcon's whole evolution chain is Bond Evolution; now it evolved without using any props, it must be because of the bond."

"Not necessarily, Steel Sword Falcon was struck by lightning so many times just now; maybe the evolution condition is being struck by lightning."

"... You might as well say Lei Ma Ling's evolution path is being struck by lightning."

"First case?! I just found out! So Steel Sword Falcon is actually only one now?!"

"Okay, this can be written into my resume later; I witnessed the evolution of the first brand-new form of alien pet beast."

"The whole evolution chain is Bond Evolution, my god, directly bonded to King-tier... what to do, I really want to contract one!"

"Calm down, it's not necessarily Bond Evolution; there are many ways for pet beasts to evolve without props now."

"I suddenly discovered a serious problem! Doesn't Qiao Sang have three King-tier pet beasts now?!"

"Three King-tier pet beasts... Damn, then she's definitely the champion!"

"Not necessarily, although Yuan Tianlong only has two King-tier pet beasts, his Saw-Sound Dragon can fight three alone. Before, when he participated in the regional competition in the Beilun region, didn't that second place have three King-tier pet beasts? Yuan Tianlong only used one Saw-Sound Dragon to defeat three King-tier pet beasts in a row and won the championship of that regional competition."

"Qiao Sang's Yan Yan Jia Ou and Ice Emperor Lamu are not comparable to ordinary King-tier pet beasts; I feel that if Yan Yan Jia Ou triggers a Blaze, it can also fight three at the same tier."

"That depends on what type of King-tier pet beast the opponent is. Yan Yan Jia Ou's battle is quite fierce, but it consumes too much energy; Ice Emperor Lamu is the same, starting with Ice Sky Domain, it's hard to hold on to the end."

"I don't know what Steel Sword Falcon's evolution looks like..."

"Please, three King-tier pet beasts! Every one of Qiao Sang's pet beasts is not ordinary; I feel her chance of winning the championship is greater than Yuan Tianlong's."

Everyone chatted fiercely while moving in unison to take out their phones and aim at the Evolution Light on the arena.

No one wanted to miss this scene that would obviously be mentioned repeatedly in the future.

Including Wu Tianjiao's fans.

Family area.

"Xunxun! Xunxun!"

Little Xunbao was still waving the cheering stick excitedly.

The younger brother evolved into King-tier!

From now on, it will have a King-tier younger brother!

Evolved?

Evolved!

Ye Xiangting was excited, stood up quickly and fiercely, her hands trembling, took out her phone, and aimed it at the arena.

Liu Yao no longer had the cheering stick, clenched his fists, no longer steady, and waved them excitedly several times.

Just now he almost thought Qiao Sang lost, but he didn't expect the situation to turn around, and

It evolved; it actually evolved so quickly... Teacher Mi Jiala was so shocked that she stood up abruptly, only to realize her lack of composure and quickly sit back down.

Others might not know, but she had been by Qiao Sang's side during this period and knew very well that the Steel Sword Falcon stabilizing into the General-level form was something that happened only a few months ago.

Yet in such a short time, it actually evolved again...

As an S-level Beast Tamer, Teacher Mi Jiala's insight was far beyond that of ordinary people.

She saw at a glance that the Steel Sword Falcon was currently undergoing Bond Evolution.

Teacher Mi Jiala was momentarily dazed.

Was the power of the bond between Qiao Sang and the Steel Sword Falcon really this strong...

It, it evolved... Wu Tianjiao looked at the scene on the field in disbelief.

At this moment, her heart felt cold, completely cold.

During a match, a pet beast's evolution cannot be interrupted.

As long as the Steel Sword Falcon evolved successfully, she would definitely lose this match.

Although before the match even started, her plan was to let the Lei Ma Ling successfully deploy the Electric Domain field so that all three matches could become lightning fields, she hadn't expected the Lei Ma Ling to win a round.

But just now, she was clearly about to win this match, and in the next second, the Steel Sword Falcon unleashed the light of evolution.

It was just like when she had previously obtained the qualification to participate in the Interstellar Cup and was being interviewed by hundreds of media outlets, only for a mosquito to land on her face; she slapped her face with a "smack," and the dream ended.

Her mood was experiencing ups and downs much like that.

"Rumble!"

The massive thunderclap startled Wu Tianjiao awake. Her train of thought stopped abruptly, and looking at the lightning that seemed about to strike down from high above, she shouted:

"Defend!"

"Lei Ma!"

The Lei Ma Ling understood its Beast Tamer's intent; although its own mood was equally cold, it still channeled its energy at the first opportunity, its fur bristling as it let out a loud cry toward the sky.

Dark clouds gathered, and streaks of shocking yellow lightning suddenly tore through the sky, crashing down.

However, just as they reached mid-air, dozens of the lightning bolts that had struck first suddenly changed direction, weaving into a massive lightning net at least twenty meters wide, hovering about dozens of meters above the light of evolution.

"Boom, boom, boom!"

The violent lightning continued to strike down, but it was all blocked by the lightning net.

"Contestant Wu Tianjiao had the Lei Ma Ling deploy a lightning net, blocking the attack from the Electric Domain field!" On the commentary stage, Tian Yiwan said with a moved expression:

"On the competition field, there is not only victory and defeat, but also friendship! At this moment, competition and friendship coexist!"

Tang Xueran said: "The true spirit of beast taming has never been just about winning or losing, but also about the greatest respect for one's opponent. I believe that even in such harsh weather, the Steel Sword Falcon will not be disturbed by the lightning and will successfully complete its evolution!"

For a moment, many people were deeply moved.

We really didn't support the wrong person... Wu Tianjiao's fans were so moved that some even had tears in their eyes, but their hands remained steady, holding their phones aimed at the white light on the field.

On the field, the outline of the white light continued to grow larger.

The purple blades that had fallen all over the ground flew up, spiraling into the white light.

That's right, this is the scene... Qiao Sang watched the field, feeling as if things had finally settled.

Except for the specific location and the Lei Ma Ling, the scene Gangbao dreamed of also included the lightning weather filling the field and the lightning net hovering in mid-air.

The Lei Ma Ling itself is an Electric-type pet beast, so it's not strange for the field to be full of lightning.

When Gangbao collapsed, she thought about it carefully; although the Lei Ma Ling is a General-level pet beast, not every Lei Ma Ling has such powerful lightning skills.

Most importantly, there were those purple feathers scattered all over the ground.

When everything matched up, it wasn't just a simple coincidence.

I believe Gangbao also empathized with my thoughts in the end...

The violent lightning continued to strike down.

Under the lightning net, the outline of the white light grew larger at a speed visible to the naked eye, until it reached about twenty meters.

I don't know how much time passed, but the lightning in the sky disappeared and reappeared.

The white light dissipated.

Everyone's gaze converged.

They saw a giant pet beast appear on the field, about twenty meters in size, its entire body covered in hard purple armor, with silver turbine devices mounted above the wings on both sides, several silver stripes on its body, a cone-shaped protrusion on the top of its head armor, a silver-white metal bridge of the nose, dark red irises, and purple pupils.

It just stood there quietly, making people feel an unprecedented pressure.

Everyone subconsciously held their breath.

"The Steel Sword Falcon has evolved successfully!" On the commentary stage, Tian Yiwan shouted: "Audience friends, the match continues!"

"Retreat!" Wu Tianjiao realized what was happening and shouted quickly.

Gangbao rolled its eyes and glanced at the Lei Ma Ling.

The Lei Ma Ling gave a start, its fur subconsciously bristling as it transformed into a bolt of lightning, quickly putting distance between itself and Gangbao, only then daring to dismantle the lightning net.

It wasn't that it hadn't encountered King-level pet beasts before, but it had never seen a King-level pet beast of such a large size!

Is this really King-level... The Lei Ma Ling felt doubt in its heart.

Streaks of lightning struck down from the dark clouds.

The power was so strong that the surrounding air seemed to tremble.

Lightning struck Gangbao's body continuously.

But it seemed completely unable to feel pain, standing proudly without even deploying Iron Wall.

It actually doesn't hurt at all... Qiao Sang watched Gangbao being struck by lightning continuously, feeling both surprised and delighted.

Its own defensive power had actually strengthened this much!

If I get struck by lightning in the future, will it not hurt either?

As the thought flashed, she saw the lightning striking the ground blasting out one pit after another, and she instantly abandoned the idea of finding an Electric-type pet beast to experiment on later.

I'm living just fine; it's better not to get struck by lightning...

This defensive power... Wu Tianjiao gritted her teeth and said loudly:

"Gather!"

"Lei Ma!"

The Lei Ma Ling let out a cry, its fur bristling.

"Steel Sword."

However, before the lightning needles could be fired, Gangbao let out a cry to express its apology, then shook its body, and all its feathers shot out, glowing with purple light like purple blades descending from the sky, frantically attacking the Lei Ma Ling.

Qiao Sang understood that Gangbao's apology was because the Lei Ma Ling had previously used the lightning net to block the lightning for it.

But a match is a match.

"Lei Ma!"

The Lei Ma Ling's pupils constricted, and based on its rich combat experience, it concluded:

Must dodge!

Instinctive physical reactions are faster than thoughts.

By the time those four words appeared in the Lei Ma Ling's mind, it had already subconsciously retracted the lightning needles, transformed into yellow lightning, and was rapidly moving and sprinting across the field.

Everyone only saw a thick yellow ray of light moving continuously across the field.

The Lei Ma Ling, whose speed is ridiculously fast among General-level pet beasts, was a bit inadequate in the eyes of a King-level pet beast.

Gangbao's gaze followed the movement of the yellow lightning.

Suddenly, it transformed into a bolt of white light and quickly stopped on the ground two hundred meters away.

Almost at the same moment Gangbao stopped, the yellow lightning rushed straight over.

Only then did the Lei Ma Ling see its opponent blocking the way in front.

It was startled and instinctively prepared to move to the side.

But before it could take any action, the suffocating sensation it had experienced once before suddenly appeared again.

Before the Lei Ma Ling could feel more pain, the purple blades, like a torrential downpour, attacked from behind, hitting it completely.

"Bang, bang, bang!"

The purple blades slashed at the Lei Ma Ling, causing its pupils to dilate directly.

After the purple blades finished falling, Gangbao spread its wings, and the feathers regained their purple glow, plugging back into its body.

Looking at the Lei Ma Ling again, it lay on the ground, appearing to have closed its eyes and fainted.

Throughout the entire process, lightning continuously struck Gangbao's body, but its expression never changed in the slightest from beginning to end.

It was as if what was falling wasn't lightning, but harmless rainwater.

Lost... Wu Tianjiao, who had known this result would happen after the Steel Sword Falcon evolved into a King-level pet beast, couldn't help but feel her heart sink.

The defensive power of the Steel Sword Falcon's King-level form was truly terrifyingly strong.

If it were to be the one in the next match, it might drag it out until the time for the Electric Domain field ended...

For a moment, Wu Tianjiao felt her odds of winning plummet from the initial 70% to 1%.

She only had two King-level pet beasts, while Qiao Sang had three...

"The Lei Ma Ling has fallen!" On the commentary stage, Tian Yiwan stated the situation of the match at the first opportunity.

Tang Xueran sighed with emotion:

"The strength gap between King-level pet beasts and General-level pet beasts is indeed huge. Even a newly evolved King-level pet beast is not something those General-level peak pet beasts can compare to. If the Steel Sword Falcon hadn't evolved, it wouldn't have been able to grasp the Lei Ma Ling's movement trajectory at all."

Tian Yiwan looked at the field and said:

"The referee has now appeared on the field. Is this match about to end!"

On the field.

The Mechanical-type pet beast referee observed the Lei Ma Ling for two seconds, then raised a green flag and waved it toward Qiao Sang's location.

A giant virtual screen appeared out of thin air.

Below Wu Tianjiao's photo, the photo of the Lei Ma Ling turned from color to black and white.

"Let us congratulate Contestant Qiao Sang on winning the first match of the semi-finals!" Tian Yiwan's passionate voice rang out.

"This will be one of the most memorable matches in this year's regional tournament," Tang Xue said.

While the two commentators were speaking, the entire stadium erupted in deafening cheers that echoed through the sky.
