Chapter 32: Initial Jason, War God Tommy
Louis swallowed hard, a desire to retreat stirring in his heart.
Who is Jason?
He began as a reanimated corpse, revived by his mother using the Book of the Dead in Crystal Lake, later revealing strange traits: a fondness for hunting life, endless resurrection, and extreme immortality—but initially, he was no stronger than an ordinary human, easily stabbed to death.
But as time passed, after being killed and resurrecting several times, Jason grew stronger and stronger; even being stabbed with a knife wouldn’t kill him, and eventually he became impervious to blades and bullets!
In his later stages, Jason could possess souls after death, return from Hell with only his heart remaining, become impervious to blades and bullets, possess immense strength, and be immune to fire and water…
In short, he was unquestionably a physically formidable demon!
From the sheriff’s tone just now, the man must have entered town.
Jason starred in many films, even remakes later on; Louis couldn’t remember most of them, only that in the fourth movie, Jason came to town—and was single-handedly killed by some kid, then killed again a few times after that, by a kid named… Tommy?
Though this was reality now, and horror movie content might not align, Louis—with no other sources of information—decided to use the fourth film as his baseline.
At this stage, Jason wasn’t very strong yet, but he could already resist ordinary weapons and had gained tremendous strength; his power had undergone its first qualitative transformation.
With his current strength, he couldn’t hope to fight head-on.
The safest choice was to flee.
Crystal Lake… Crystal Town…
Confirm the location, then get out of here immediately.
These thoughts spun rapidly through Louis’s mind; in reality, Louis had already boarded the car with David and the others, heading toward the school.
Back at the school.
Louis quickly obtained a map and some local rumors from the headmaster, leveraging his child status.
According to the headmaster, something terrible had happened at Crystal Lake long ago—in the 1970s—several people died, but the killer was also killed.
Then, a few years later, murders reappeared; this time, more people died, and according to the sole survivor of the first incident, the killer was identical to the one before!
The third time—just a few years ago—another mass murder occurred at Crystal Lake; this time, police clearly identified the killer’s appearance, confirming the survivor’s account: it was truly Jason!
From then on, Jason’s name began spreading through the surrounding areas.
Now, whenever a murder occurred, sheriffs immediately wondered: was this Jason returning?
That’s why, back at the camp, when the woman was stabbed to death with a pipe, the sheriff grew so tense and demanded everyone cooperate with the investigation.
Louis pondered: it seemed Jason’s power truly rose gradually, without exceeding his Sheding in this world or experiencing unexpected anomalies—this was, at least, a small blessing.
After thanking the headmaster, Louis carefully studied the regional map, which included the surrounding terrain.
Finally, he spotted the names Crystal Lake Camp and Crystal Town, located north of Kela Na Town, near the border of Mississippi, Florida, and Georgia.
“Now, abandon illusions—start running.”
Even though Jason wasn’t in his full form, only at his first qualitative transformation, I’m just a little kid too!
Fleeing was the best choice.
Without hesitation, Louis found David.
But David looked even more listless than before, his eyes hollow, as if his soul had been shattered.
Emma was quietly smirking beside him; Angela looked helplessly soothing her brother.
Louis approached Emma.
!!!
Emma jumped, rolling her eyes at Louis. “What?”
Hey, this guy isn’t afraid of me anymore?
Louis asked, “What’s wrong with Uncle David?”
“Oh, him? He just got rejected by Jenny. She said he was too far away, and Yulonka didn’t like him, so they weren’t compatible—and then she walked off.”
Louis nodded. Yulonka hadn’t broken her promise. Of course—she was just a child. Even Emma, a naturally evil brat, knew fear and dared not act. What was Yulonka, a later-evolved evil child, compared to that?
But…
Poor David. First, his adopted daughter Esther died, then he found out she was a dwarf pervert, hadn’t even recovered when his girlfriend dumped him.
What kind of emotional journey is this?
Grief—fear, rage, dread—despair.
But actually, this is all good!
David! I’m only doing this for your own good! .jpg
Shaking his head, Louis stepped forward and interrupted David’s emo spiral.
“Uncle David, let’s leave quickly. This place is terrible.”
David froze, then slowly nodded.
Louis was right—this place was awful. Out of sight, out of mind. Better to leave while we still could!
Angela exhaled, giving Louis an approving glance.
Just half an hour later.
Everyone had packed everything up and gotten into the car.
Since Jason had appeared in Crystal Town, the sheriff had taken his men to reinforce it, so there was no one left to monitor them here.
David drove smoothly away, heading toward the border at full speed.
Meanwhile, in Crystal Town.
In a secluded house beside Crystal Lake.
A bald boy was outwitting Jason; as dusk fell and police drew near.
The boy had used numerous traps to subdue Jason, but now he himself had gone mad, wielding a weapon and furiously sawing Jason’s corpse apart with a chainsaw.
When the police burst through the door.
They saw the bloodthirsty bald boy turning to look at them.
Beneath him, Jason’s corpse was unrecognizable.
The boy’s mother rushed forward, eyes filled with tears.
“Oh my god!”
After a flurry of chaos.
The boy was placed in a police car; someone asked his name.
He stared blankly and replied, “Tommy.”
…
On the other side.
David’s family, rushing back overnight, had checked into a motel due to the late hour.
Fortunately, nothing strange happened the whole night, allowing Louis—who had endured silence and Jason—to finally breathe easier.
The next afternoon, they returned home.
But.
As soon as he arrived, Louis’s pupils shrank—he immediately turned away and hid himself.
Emma didn’t understand, but she covered for him anyway.
Soon, everything was put back in place; Louis finally dared to peek out, watching the distant figure fade away.
“Who was that?”
Emma asked beside him.
Louis shook his head, saying nothing.
Emma didn’t know—he didn’t know who that person was either. But he recognized the tattoo on the man’s body.
A red scorpion.
That was the Kanō family’s family tattoo.
