Chapter 392: Recruiting Troops and Buying Horses

In the end, Miss Luo Quan only took 10 million from Seifert and Gao Liang each, and then gathered the balances of her various accounts into one account.

Finally, she saved up 35 million US dollars in shooting funds.

For ordinary B-movies, this amount of funds is quite enough.

But for Miss Luo Quan, it can only be said to be barely enough. After all, she expects "Resident Evil" to become a big IP and create the Resident Evil universe.

To achieve these, in addition to the excellent quality of the film, promotion is also very important.

There is no shortcut to go in this regard, basically only money can be used to smash it, so this will be a big head of movie expenses.

Of course, these are things after the movie shooting is over. What needs to be done now is to set up the crew first.

Unlike China, the American film industry is highly industrialized.

From the project establishment of a movie to the establishment of the crew to shooting and then to promotion and release, there is a set of almost fixed procedures, and various contracts must be signed.

Especially to deal with various unions.

If any place in the movie shooting angers the union, once they speak, all employees will go on strike collectively, and the entire crew will have to be paralyzed.

So Miss Luo Quan did a lot of homework before coming, and wrote all the minefields that should be avoided on the memo, and took it out to look at it from time to time.

After all, the United States cannot be compared with China. There are too many sensitive groups here, minorities, feminism, same-sex, no one is easy to mess with.

Especially racial discrimination, or specifically referring to discrimination against black people, this is the biggest taboo in the United States, the kind that whoever touches will die.

Reflected in the movie, it is that every movie must have black characters, and they cannot all be negative characters.

This is actually an unwritten rule. There was no similar requirement in the early 21st century.

But with the intensification of ZZzq in recent years, American society is almost full of these.

As long as black people feel a little bit of incorrect meaning, they may issue protests and attacks.

Fortunately, "Resident Evil 1" is just a simple room thriller, the whole process is basically fighting zombies and exploring the truth of the incident, and it has nothing to do with black people.

In short, the movie's funds are currently solved.

Next goal, actors.

Needless to say, the only highlight of the "Resident Evil" series of movies—Alice is of course played by Miss Luo Quan herself.

There are a lot of fight scenes for Alice in the movie, and there are many high-difficulty actions to do. Fortunately, she has a martial arts foundation, and the effect will only be better than the original version.

However, some details of the original work need to be slightly changed, such as letting Alice cover herself with a white cloth at the beginning of each movie to give the audience benefits.

Especially the first two movies, there are even nude scenes, which Miss Luo Quan definitely cannot accept.

Speaking of which, the director of the original work is actually the husband of the protagonist in the present world. This movie is actually the director's show-off of his wife.

However, the director only arranged nude scenes for his wife in the movie. I don't know what he was thinking.

Probably this director knows the truth that "it is better to be happy alone than to be happy together", which is to maximize human happiness in Seifert's words.

Of course, the welfare scenes will definitely not be less.

One of the biggest highlights of this movie is the heroine Alice wearing an exposed red dress, performing various somersaults and leg swings.

Without welfare, the audience's pleasure in watching the movie will be much less.

Miss Luo Quan had already made up her mind before deciding to shoot "Resident Evil", but since she is operating it herself, the way to send welfare will definitely be more subtle than the original work.

The heroine is decided, and the problem of movie characters is solved for the most part, because only two people survived in the end of this movie.

It can be said that all other characters in the whole play are tools.

Of course, tools cannot be picked at will, and you still have to choose those green leaf supporting roles with acting skills and recognition.

If a movie wants to succeed, the protagonist is certainly important, and the excellent performance of supporting roles and extras is also indispensable.

She will not go to invite some people who are not skilled in business to join the crew just to save money.

If you want to screen out good actors, you must cast a wide net.

So Miss Luo Quan posted a recruitment tweet on her Twitter with 20 million fans:

"Sincerely recruiting several supporting roles."

"Requirements: More than 5 years of film and television shooting experience, acting skills are passable, image and temperament are excellent."

"Remuneration: Starting at 500,000 US dollars, the specific price can be discussed."

"The interview location is in Hollywood, USA, three days later. Please pay attention to my Twitter tomorrow for the specific location."

This recruitment tweet came out, which can be said to have caused a huge stir.

Both fans and media asked questions in the comments in surprise:

"Are you going to shoot a movie?!"

Miss Luo Quan also replied in the comment section:

"Indeed, I am going to shoot a movie. For specific details, please pay attention to the subsequent press conference."

Although Miss Luo Quan hasn't prepared anything here, she only has a script and a protagonist, but the posture should still be there.

Moreover, as one of the hottest stars in the world, her every move is traffic. As long as she speaks, there will be plenty of media reporters to interview her.

After staying in New York for one night, Miss Luo Quan took her luggage to the plane the next day and arrived in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is located in a basin surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side. It is sunny and dry with little rain all year round, and the climate is mild and pleasant, so it is also called the City of Angels.

The star-studded Hollywood is located on the outskirts of Los Angeles.

There are famous attractions such as the Walk of Fame, Dolby Theater, Wax Museum, Dolby Cinema, Sunset Boulevard, etc., receiving tens of thousands of tourists from all over the world every day.

Here, it is also the City of Miracles that carries the dreams of filmmakers and actors. Every ordinary person has the opportunity to become famous overnight, because here focuses the eyes of the world's media!

Miss Luo Quan's arrival did not bring any sensation to Hollywood. She was just one of the many world superstars who had come to Hollywood.

And today she didn't come here as a producer and director. In the morning she was a tourist, and in the afternoon she had to go to the film and television rental company to discuss the rental contract for shooting equipment.

Coming to Hollywood, other attractions can not be visited, but you must not visit the Walk of Fame.

This is a road full of honor. Only the most popular stars or those who have made huge contributions to culture and entertainment are qualified to carve themselves on it.

It is worth mentioning that in May this year, Gao Liang submitted an application to the Walk of Fame to have his name carved on it, but there has been no reply yet.

Although he has been on fire this year, after all, he is an idol singer. Unless he can achieve huge results in record sales, he is not qualified to be carved on it.

It is estimated that Gao Liang has no chance this year, but it is hard to say next year or the year after.

"Titanic" is expected to be released next year. If this movie can achieve huge success, Gao Liang will get the qualification to carve his name on the Walk of Fame.

As for Miss Luo Quan, it is actually more difficult than Gao Liang.

Mainly because of nationality.

So far, only six Chinese have been on the Walk of Fame, and three of them are Chinese-Americans, and three are XG people.

None from the mainland!

However, with Miss Luo Quan's current achievements, if she submits an application, there is actually a high probability that it will be agreed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

After all, although she is young now, she has been listed as one of the greatest singers of the 21st century by "Boulder" magazine, and many works have also been selected for the list of the greatest music works of the 21st century.

The general comment from the outside world on Miss Luo Quan is that next year's Grammy trophy is already waiting for her, and even if she wants, she can get almost all music awards in the world.

You know, "Oriental Mozart" is not a nickname given to her by some third-rate unscrupulous tabloid to attract attention, but an honor certified by major mainstream media in the world, and relevant articles have also appeared in "Time" magazine.

No one will question Miss Luo Quan's extraordinary talent in music and the achievements she has made, just as no man will refuse to praise Miss Luo Quan's peerless appearance.

It's just that Miss Luo Quan herself doesn't have a strong desire to be on the Walk of Fame.

What is an active application? It's called a card face (face) to let the Walk of Fame invite her!

Of course, today she arrived in Hollywood for the first time, and she was very interested in this famous attraction, so taking photos and checking in is naturally indispensable.

The Walk of Fame is actually a general term.

The five-pointed terrazzo representing "starlight" with the names of stars is embedded in the sidewalks of the 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and the 3 blocks of Teng Street.

And this area is the Walk of Fame.

It is unrealistic to let her walk through these 18 blocks. Even if she has no work on her, she will not have such leisure to go shopping.

Coming here is mainly to feel the atmosphere of Hollywood and see what is different about this world-famous star-making factory.

After wandering around the street wearing sunglasses for a while, Miss Luo Quan didn't see any so-called celebrities everywhere, but saw a lot of cosplay puppets.

These puppets include Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, standing on the sidewalk waving to tourists, and many tourists stopped to take pictures with them.

It looks no different from those in the superhero theme park.

When she first came, seeing the red five-pointed stars with star names on the street, Miss Luo Quan did feel some surprise.

But after watching it for a long time, it felt like that.

Even thinking that if she was carved on it one day, and then stepped on by people every day, it didn't seem to have any attraction.

The more she walked, the more boring she felt, so Miss Luo Quan took out her mobile phone and planned to take a selfie, ready to leave after checking in.

Just after taking the photo, people surrounded her.

"Miss Luo Quan, you are Miss Luo Quan, right!" A white man wearing a duck-tongue cap walked over, holding a camera in his hand, dressed like a tabloid reporter.

Although she was wearing sunglasses, if you look closely, you can definitely recognize her highly recognizable facial contours.

And this reporter was also prepared, and had noticed her since Miss Luo Quan appeared on the Walk of Fame just now.

"It's me." Miss Luo Quan didn't hide it either. It's not rare to run into a few stars when you arrive in Hollywood.

"My luck is too good today, I met you not long after going out." The reporter excitedly took the camera off his neck and said: "Do you have time for an interview? I am a reporter for the Los Angeles Film Times, you can call me Carey."

A media that is not big or small, but except for Playboy, Miss Luo Quan is open to most media.

"Of course, but I am going to the film equipment rental company immediately. If you have anything to interview, we can talk while walking." Miss Luo Quan said, opening the mobile phone navigation, and found that the nearest equipment rental company was not far from here.

"No problem." Carey was very happy. This is Miss Luo Quan's exclusive interview. Except for "Time" and TCC this year, no media has enjoyed this treatment!

"I saw you posted an actor recruitment on Twitter yesterday. Are you an investor or a director?" Carey raised his camera and started recording.

"Both, I am a producer, director, screenwriter, and also the protagonist." Miss Luo Quan said while walking.

"It's amazing. At your age, there are few people who hold multiple positions like this."

Miss Luo Quan smiled lightly: "This is actually nothing. Just like those songs of mine, the lyrics, composition, arrangement, and singing are all myself. I just strive to develop everything in the direction I conceived."

"Then what type of movie are you going to shoot this time? Can you tell me about the plot summary?"

"Because the shooting funds are limited, plus the script restrictions, my directorial debut is actually a B-level thriller, and it also has science fiction action elements."

"As for the plot, I can't reveal too much for now, but it will definitely be very thrilling and exciting."

"B-level movie, or thriller type?" Carey's mind emerged with typical American blood-plasma movies full of violence and killing like The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

How could a delicate beauty conceive such a script, and she is still the heroine. Is she going to play a perverted murderer?

If Miss Luo Quan knew Carey's thoughts, she would definitely give him a like.

She is indeed a "murderer" in the movie, but what she kills is strictly speaking no longer a human, but there will definitely be violence and blood-plasma shots in the picture.

"I just heard that there are action elements in it. Does that mean you will show your skills in the movie?"

"That's right." Miss Luo Quan nodded excitedly, "In fact, many people don't know that I have considerable martial arts skills. Many actions that action superstars can do, I can also do!"

"I am very curious about what a beautiful girl's action thriller movie will look like. Looking forward to your directorial debut."

While chatting, the two had walked to the door of the equipment rental company.

Carey got the first-hand information about the movie and had already gained a lot.

After saying goodbye to the reporter, Miss Luo Quan walked into the company and planned to rent a batch of equipment.

Funds are limited, and these expenses must be calculated carefully. In order to avoid being ripped off, she also asked Seifert to organize a rental market price table for her before coming.

With this table, she can suffer much less loss. ===== CHAPTER 393 =====
