Chapter 544: Premature Change of Dynasty

"Days without work are truly relaxing." Early in the morning, Miss Luo Quan, who slept until she woke up naturally, stretched on the bed, her mood not just beautiful.

Today is August 29th. Most college students have basically returned to school to prepare for the start of school, and junior and high school students are estimated to be borrowing summer homework from classmates everywhere, followed by one night, one pen, one miracle.

Miss Luo Quan remembered that when she was still in school, winter and summer homework were basically left to be done in the last day or two. After finishing the homework for several subjects, although her hands were very numb, she could also gain an inexplicable sense of satisfaction and achievement.

However, once, after seeing the teacher directly take the collected summer homework to be used as waste paper, Miss Luo Quan never did this thing again.

Anyway, the teacher didn't grade it, so why do this thing?

Now she definitely said she didn't need to do any more winter and summer homework. There were many students under the video about to start school on Bilibili saying they hadn't started writing yet, and Miss Luo Quan laughed quite gloatingly after seeing it.

People, sometimes they just like to build their own happiness on the suffering of others.

*The Devil Wears Prada* is still showing in China and the United States. The rating has decreased, but it is still an excellent film.

Now the global box office of the movie has reached 3.2 billion RMB, which is the movie with the highest global box office this month, and the second highest is *Titanic*.

After being released for two months, *Titanic* still gained more than 1 billion RMB at the global box office. This momentum is also amazing.

It is worth mentioning that *Titanic* had already broken the box office record in film history a month ago, and has now accumulated a total of 2.8 billion US dollars at the box office, which can be called unprecedented.

As for whether there will be anyone coming after, that is unknown. Perhaps the highly anticipated *Lord of the Rings* dream can complete the miracle of overtaking.

However, judging from Director Ford's reaction, the quality of *Lord of the Rings 2* is estimated to be unable to compare with *Titanic*.

After all, in order to avoid this invincible enemy, Director Ford specially postponed the release date of *Lord of the Rings 2* to 2019.

As for the awards, *Titanic* did not go to the Berlin Film Festival that just ended a while ago.

It is mainly because one can only participate in one of the three major film festivals. Considering that the biennial Venice Film Festival is coming soon, Director Kanason intends to gain honor at this grand event known as the father of film festivals.

That's right, it's gaining honor. Director Kan is just that confident in his work.

Of course, the outside world's call for *Titanic* to win awards is also quite high. After all, the high quality of this movie is obvious to all movie fans around the world.

The two protagonists, Gao Liang and Karilien, are now riding this big ship and have already ranked among the international first-class movie stars.

Both of them had quite a high fan base before cooperating, but by comparison, Gao Liang's popularity was still higher, and this time playing Jack also allowed him to successfully complete the crossover and fire the first shot of his own in the film festival.

As for Miss Luo Quan, who is the sister, she also walked ahead of her brother unknowingly after her movie was released.

Thanks to her acting skills in *The Devil Wears Prada*, foreign media have already started marketing the news that she intends to be the Best Actress.

The title of Oscar Best Actress is so loud, she naturally won't let it go if she can take it.

However, although the Miranda she played in this movie was performed quite well, she herself felt that it still lacked some tension and didn't have the power to strike people's hearts instantly.

Such acting skills might be qualified to be nominated for the Oscar for Best Actress, but wanting to win the award, she felt it was still a bit lacking.

Of course, there is no lack of black-box operations in Oscar history, relying on marketing, bribery, and then taking the Best Actress example.

However, female actors who won the Best Actress through this means were all mocked by netizens afterwards. At that time, a "most watery Best Actress" was directly placed on their heads, which almost accompanied their entire career and belonged to a stain that could never be washed away.

Miss Luo Quan cherishes her feathers so much that even if she really had the ability to publicize the judges, she would absolutely not do it.

What's more, she has the ability to win this award by her own ability.

Wait!

Miss Luo Quan suddenly seemed to think of something.

This year, *Titanic* is coming fiercely. Before it was released, the Oscar had already been regarded as something in the bag by Director Kanason.

Facts proved that this movie is indeed a classic work of historical level. There is no need to question winning the Oscar for Best Picture next year. The question is just how many major awards it can win.

With such a strong movie, a group of Hollywood directors, including industry bigwigs like Director Ford, have also postponed their movie release plans to 2019.

In this, there are many big productions and good productions. Even if they can't compare with *Titanic*, they are rare good movies in the past.

In other words, next year will be a year of big movies, and the 2020 Oscar competition will also be unusually tragic.

However, others don't know, but Miss Luo Quan is clear about how difficult it is for Jack and Rose to win Best Actor and Best Actress.

The Hollywood Academy is the least fond of these young, high-value actors, unless your acting skills are truly superb.

Whether it is Gao Liang or Karilien, their performance in the movie is obviously not at this level.

In Miss Luo Quan's memory, the current youngest Oscar Best Actor is 25 years old, and the youngest Best Actress is 21 years old.

It shows that it is possible for girls to win the Oscar Best Actress at the age of 20, but the premise is that they must have excellent works.

Miss Luo Quan will be 21 years old next April, and the Oscars are held at the end of February. If she wants to break the record, this year is the best opportunity.

The only masterpiece this year is *Titanic*, and it is not easy for Karilien to win the Best Actress. If Miss Luo Quan can bring out a classic work, it is really possible to become the youngest Oscar Best Actress!

The motivation for people to move forward often flashes because of a thought. Miss Luo Quan, who had originally planned to slack off until the start of school in October, suddenly had the intention to shoot another movie at this time.

After all, this kind of opportunity where masterpieces are scarce this year is not something that can be encountered every year.

Do it as soon as you say it. Although Miss Luo Quan usually slacks off, once she has a plan, she implements it immediately.

She has already thought about which movie to shoot. The first thing is to gather actors for other roles.

After flipping through the address book for a while, Miss Luo Quan found that phone number and called it directly………………

In a mansion in New York, a blonde beauty with a figure good enough to take the crown of sexy goddess was talking on the phone with impatience.

"George, I've said it many times, I don't want to shoot that *300: Rise of an Empire*, don't bother me anymore."

"Karilien, I've also told you many times, the film party offered a very high salary this time, shooting one is higher than the three you shot before."

"You are now in the limelight, if you don't take this opportunity to earn more money, when do you plan to drag it to?"

"The competition among Hollywood actresses is becoming more and more intense, and a woman's golden age is just these few years. If you waste it, it will be too late to regret it later!"

George, who was speaking, was Karilien's agent, but he was arranged for her by the company Karilien was in.

Unlike Gao Liang, the company Karilien was in could only be considered third-rate in the industry.

Seifert knew how to let Gao Liang cherish his feathers after becoming famous and try not to take bad movies.

But small companies didn't have many choices. The first priority was definitely to make money. After all, who knew how long the heat brought by *Titanic* could last?

So, not long after Karilien became popular, Karilien's company arranged for her to be the heroine of a commercial movie.

This movie was a sequel, and the first part also achieved quite great commercial success globally back then, and was hailed as a model of new century war movies and violent aesthetics.

It was originally a good IP, but after reading the script, Karilien decisively chose to refuse to act.

The reason is simple: there are nude scenes in it again.

Why say "again"? Because since Karilien's debut, she has already shot two movies with nude scenes.

However, the first two times Karilien shot willingly because she was dedicating herself to art. One helped her be nominated for the Cannes Best Actress, and the other brought her incomparably hot heat.

And this time, she didn't want to take it off again.

A commercial film, why let her shoot this kind of lens? Karilien herself knew it too well.

Growing up in the vanity fair of the Oscars, she had long been influenced by what she saw and heard.

To be honest, until now, she hadn't been tainted by some big producer, and even she herself felt it was a miracle.

So this time, she was unwilling to take on this kind of movie that was obviously objectifying women.

Even if she was willing to compromise if this lens was deleted in the script, she had communicated with the director and producer, and the answer she got was "no way".

Then "no way" is "no way", she could only say "sorry".

It's just that she didn't expect that after refusing, the agent George actually let her take this play many times, completely disrespecting her ideas and not taking her reputation seriously at all.

Thinking of this, Karilien's anger gradually rose: "George, my contract with the company has only two months left, don't force me to sign with other companies!"

George's tone turned cold: "Hehe, after becoming famous, your wings are hard, right? Don't forget that the company cultivated you, and you can have today!"

Karilien also replied with a cold laugh: "I can have today, it's my own effort. What does it have to do with you capitalists who only know how to count money in the office?"

George threatened: "Don't be too proud, Karilien. The company has the ability to promote you, and it also has a way to destroy you. Hollywood is never short of beautiful actresses. Your career has just improved, don't ruin your future because of arrogance!"

"Do you think I don't know what means you have? It's nothing more than buying black materials and hiring water armies. I'll put my words here: you can smear me however you want, I can't shoot this movie, and the contract, don't even think about renewing it!" After speaking, Karilien hung up the phone angrily…………

"Sorry, the user you dialed is currently on the phone, please dial later."

Hearing the prompt tone on the phone, Miss Luo Quan pressed hang up, "Can't get through."

After waiting for three minutes, Miss Luo Quan called again, and this time it got through.

"George, I told you, I can't………………"

"Hey, Karilien, do you remember my voice?" Miss Luo Quan greeted with a smile.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry, are you... Miss Luo Quan?" Karilien apologized incomparably embarrassedly, and then quickly guessed Miss Luo Quan's identity.

This crisp and ethereal voice was too recognizable. If it wasn't Miss Luo Quan, who could it be?

"Just now someone named George must have made you unhappy, I was wondering why your phone was busy." Miss Luo Quan made a joke, wanting to ease the atmosphere.

"It's nothing, just some problems at work, nothing to worry about." Karilien smiled reluctantly. In fact, the threat George made to her just now really put her under a lot of pressure.

As a third-rate company, the company's ability to gain a foothold in Hollywood relies on its powerful public relations ability. Wanting to smear a star is really too simple.

After terminating the contract with the company, if she doesn't sign with a big company immediately, she will absolutely not be the opponent of these people by her own strength.

If the company is more ruthless and fixes her within the remaining two months of the contract, then there is really no way.

Miss Luo Quan smiled and said: "It's fine as long as it's fine. If you have trouble, you can tell me. I know some friends at Universal, maybe I can help you."

The speaker is unintentional, the listener is intentional. Maybe relying on Universal is a good choice?

"By the way, I called you this time because there is a role I want you to play, I don't know if you are interested." After the pleasantries, Miss Luo Quan went straight to the point.

"Role? What movie, what role?"

"It's a horror movie." Miss Luo Quan knew that horror movies were a bit unpresentable in Hollywood, and famous actors didn't look down on this movie very much, so she immediately explained: "This is not a simple horror movie, it is a horror movie with depth and also tests the acting skills of the role. If it's shot well, it can definitely win an Oscar."

"Uh, I don't have any discrimination against horror movies." Karilien smiled, "Miss Luo Quan, your strength is clear in the industry. Since you say so, just send the script to me. As long as there is no problem, I am definitely willing to act."

"But…………"

"But what?" Miss Luo Quan asked busily.

"Recently, I am having a conflict with the company. Just now, I had a big argument with the company's senior management, who is also my agent George."

"I have determined to terminate the contract with the company, and George also said that he would deal with me at all costs, so I am afraid I don't have the energy to act in a short time, so…………"

"Can you tell me the specific reason?" Miss Luo Quan decided to understand the ins and outs of the matter first. After all, being a 'good person' can't be done often.

"The fact is like this." Karilien sighed and told the cause and effect of the matter.
