Chapter 524: Crocodile Dragon

In the courtyard, Xu Yang ate heartily, his belly like an endless pit; in a moment of practice, he devoured two or three jin of green-scaled eagle meat.

"Chen Jiang Jiang, would you like some?" he called out to Chen Yong, who was still there.

Chen Yong shook his head: "I ate earlier. This green-scaled eagle is too strong for you; eating too much would not be a good thing."

He shifted the topic, and Chen Yong asked with concern: "By the way, how is your injury? Have you recovered?"

Xu Yang shook his head: "How could I recover so quickly? These were two strange beasts whose strength was comparable to the Great Perfection of Bone Washing. To not die was already good luck; if not for the half-spirit weapon bestowed by Master, I would likely have fallen here today.

However, Chen Jiang Jiang, rest assured, the injury has already stabilized. With a few days to half a month of rest, plus the meat of this green-scaled eagle, I should be almost fully recovered."

Chen Yong breathed a sigh of relief: "As long as it is stabilized, that is good. Heal the injury slowly. Having killed this green-scaled eagle, there should be no trouble at the mine for a short time.

Junior Brother Xu, take your time eating. I must go record today's accounts, so I will not disturb you further."

Xu Yang nodded: "Chen Jiang Jiang, go attend to your business; there is nothing else for me here."

Chen Yong clasped his hands in salute, turned, and departed.

In the instant he turned, the smile on his face slowly vanished, turning gloomy.

Xu Yang's injury was not as heavy as he had imagined; recovering in a few days to half a month suggested it only affected the meridians, with no problems to the internal organs.

"How is it?"

He returned to his own courtyard, and Guo Yun soon came looking for him.

Chen Yong shook his head and transmitted his voice: "He said he can recover in a few days to half a month; it is not as severe as we imagined."
