Chapter 781: Final Chapter Thoughts
Final Chapter Thoughts
Final Chapter Thoughts
The graduation thesis is here.
As I typed the last few words, a sense of melancholy welled up in my heart...
Actually, no.
Ah!
Refreshing!
This is the true feeling, and then... there is only calm.
It can't be helped; ups and downs of emotion are always fleeting.
So, I started thinking about how to write these final thoughts.
An ideal postscript should be moving and tear-jerking, making hearts surge, bringing in a flood of tips, encouraging those who haven't fully subscribed to do so, and leading those reading pirated versions back to the right path.
A realistic postscript...
It's good enough if it gets read to the end!
Back to the main topic, actually, in the writing of this book, there was a lot of realization and growth, and I will share it with you in three parts.
A summary of this book, my own aspirations for writing, and an introduction to the next book.
First, the completion rate of this book's outline is 90 points.
Except for Gu Yuena joining halfway through, which made me revise the outline once, there were no other major changes.
Such a completion rate ensures that the book won't collapse or have a botched ending.
Likewise, there will be less unbridled imagination.
Of course, that doesn't matter; after all, what I excel at isn't wild ideas, but emotional scenes (laughs).
I don't know if you've noticed, but the difficulty of completing this book was actually very high, much harder than "scumbag" books or "stock market" books.
Pure love and harem, these two things are in conflict.
Harem protagonists are generally born scumbags, born fickle, so they can be scumbags with justification.
But Qin Jian happens to be affectionate, which makes it awkward.
Making everyone like these heroines while not hating Qin Jian is a huge test of skill; many times I thought until my head went bald.
Fortunately, I wrote to the ending.
When there are many characters, it's easy for them to become stereotypical, let alone ten heroines plus one protagonist.
Therefore, character arcs for each role are necessary.
For this point, I give myself 70 points; it was truly too difficult.
As long as you can still remember the highlight moments of a few characters, then it counts as a pass.
Ning Rongrong's childhood sweetheart, without complaint or regret.
Shui Bing'er's personality change, the return of the ice queen.
Zhu Zhuqing's reliance and entrustment, the cat's temptation.
Huo Wu's carefree nature, tsundere and tenderness.
Xiao Wu's deep sibling affection, persistence and dedication.
Hu Liena's charming allure, fancy poses.
Qian Renxue's dual-aperture opening, dark and stubborn.
Bibi Dong's papal charisma, psychological transformation.
Poseixi's big sister attribute, considerate and tolerant.
Gu Yuena's dual personality, Ten Thousand Year guardianship.
If you could feel empathy and a sore nose because of the plot of certain characters, then that counts as excellent.
I hope this book can bring such moments to everyone.
Although it is fan fiction, the positioning is not for beginners, but for veteran readers.
Writing Douluo fan fiction in this style is actually quite miserable, because many veteran readers don't read Douluo fan fiction at all.
Moreover, without those brainless tropes of showing off and face-slapping, it means the book is driven by the plot; every segment and every chapter must be thought out carefully, novel and not repetitive.
And it must evoke empathy.
If I am not moved myself, how can I make you moved? So I have to truly like these ten heroines, but I am not as magical as Qin Jian, being both pure and amorous.
For someone as pure as me (don't laugh), to fall in love with ten heroines...
I am too hard. jpg
In this book, for many plots, in order to brew emotions, I had to recall the heart-wrenching pain of heartbreak over and over again; it was truly... refreshing as hell, torturous and refreshing.
In short, after finishing this book, you shouldn't feel like you've read nothing; you'll probably be left wanting more.
This can be considered my writing philosophy: refined and popular tastes alike.
Being "refreshing" is the core, but it can't be only that, because that only brings emptiness; I also want to bring everyone emotion and realization.
Asura Field, harem, and "cars" are the refreshing parts of this book.
Writing harem, reading harem, there is nothing wrong with it, because this allows for more emotional scenes.
Someone as pure as me (justifiably) also likes to read and write harem novels because it can satisfy male fantasies.
But in reality, one will still grow old with one person, because only then can one obtain true love.
This is the refreshing part, and because it is refreshing, it exists in an overly ideal situation, which is to say, it is not very realistic.
A good work must not only be popular but also refined; refinement is reflected in every aspect of the book, which is actually a reflection of real life.
Simply put, you won't feel that these people or things are fake; whatever they say or do, they have their own thoughts.
Just like with Shui Bing'er's personality, I wrote about the harm of suppressive education.
Like Tang San and Yu Xiaogang, I know many books will bash characters just for the sake of bashing, but in my view, it's truly an eyesore.
Using a worldview without a bottom line to criticize a bad, selfish worldview is simply unwatchable.
Forgive my bluntness, but the protagonists of many fan fictions are far more disgusting than Tang San.
Therefore, in my handling, there is at least a reason for dealing with them in the end.
The Tang San in this book is still just as selfish, and Yu Xiaogang is just as cowardly, but they didn't offend Qin Jian at the beginning; Tang San was even quite good to Qin Jian, so naturally, there was no need to step on them just for the sake of it.
It wasn't until later, when Tang San and Qin Jian stood on opposing sides, and Tang San took action against the Heaven Dou Empire and the Spirit Hall, that Yu Xiaogang chose Tang San, which is why Qin Jian retaliated against them; this is a logical falling out.
Moreover, Qin Jian is no better than Tang San when it comes to selfishness; he just has more of a bottom line, and in situations that don't affect him, he wants to make the world better rather than worse, which I think is where he is better than Tang San in terms of character design.
Institutions like the Spirit Judgment Hall, the Spirit Academy, and the Guard Army are not just for power, but also benefit Spirit Masters and ordinary people; this is something he would consider.
Including the ending, his choice to let those positive gods remain is also because he hopes that truth, goodness, and beauty outweigh falsehood, evil, and ugliness.
This is his worldview and his character arc.
Speaking of the final villains, the character of the Destruction God King, as well as the Evil God King behind him, and the Goddesses of Life and Goodness, they are not just symbols, but living existences.
The Destruction God King specifically went to the lower realm to have a chat with Qin Jian at Holy Soul Village; what they were discussing was a conflict of ideologies.
Even at the grand finale, it was all a conflict of ideologies.
Whether the world is driven by the elite or by everyone together is a question that is a matter of opinion, and it can be debated from many aspects.
So, is the Destruction God King really wrong? Not necessarily.
There are also the two goddesses' views on life and goodness, as well as the Destruction and Evil God Kings' understanding of their own rules of destruction and evil; it can be said that they all have their own thoughts and persistence, yet one cannot define who is definitely wrong.
This is a reflection of reality; there is no absolute good or bad, kindness or evil.
In the book, I rarely express a clear opinion on such issues that are suitable for dialectical viewing, because it is a matter of opinion.
I have never felt that what Qin Jian did was definitely right, or that it would definitely bring good results; he just did what he felt was right.
I think that for a book like this, perhaps you won't forget it after finishing it, and perhaps in the future, when you can't find a good book, you will still be willing to read it a second or third time.
In this way, it can be considered that I have not let down the readers who fully subscribed.
Therefore, the difficulty of writing a novel without tropes is self-evident; I really tried my best.
Of course, I am also quite satisfied with it myself.
Just like the ending of this book, according to normal tropes, finally becoming the strongest, one would have to have a world-shaking, earth-shattering, heart-pounding battle, win by a narrow margin, and end on a high note.
That is the content of the postscript, which should have been before the finale, but I thought, is the theme of this book fighting heaven and earth?
Actually, it is not.
This book has been searching for itself all along.
Qin Jian found his true self; he is the embodiment of emotion, and his nature is absolutely unable to let go of any girl, so he is willing to bear so much emotion and is also willing to bear the corresponding responsibilities.
The final Gu Yuena is the same.
She gave up her consciousness twice and truly obtained the Dragon God Power, but she wanted to leave her best side for Qin Jian.
Only until the very end did she find her true self.
There is good and evil, yin and yang generating each other; this is every one of us, with both strengths and weaknesses.
And to love someone is to love all of him (or her).
Therefore, when Gu Yuena looked back, this book had already drawn a perfect period.
The postscript or side stories that follow are actually blank spaces, left for everyone to reminisce and imagine, achieving an effect of lingering aftertaste.
This book has achieved the "refined and popular" that I hold in my heart; it is unclear whether it is more popular or more refined, or if it is a matter of opinion.
Next, emmm...
【Here comes the point!】
Let's talk about what my wish for writing books is.
First of all, the most basic thing is definitely income.
I won't shy away from this point, nor will I talk about any dreams.
It is just income; otherwise, why would I be willing to think day and night, spending almost all my time writing books?
Of course, on the basis of income, I still have other thoughts.
Just like the work pursues being both refined and popular, writing is the same; income is the vulgar reality, and there is also the refined ideal.
I believe that the work is conveying a kind of worldview, and it is also filtering out readers with a similar worldview; those who can identify with my style might be able to accompany me on this journey.
Because the world is very big, there are all kinds of people, and it is not easy to find someone with a compatible worldview.
I am a person of peace and joy, pursuing happiness at every moment, and I have also conveyed this style in the book.
Even if he is in pain, Qin Jian will try his best to make himself calm and happy.
Only in this way can one live up to every present moment.
If you identify with such a work and identify with such a me, then I can continue to write such books for you, and we can walk together!
I cherish the readers in the full-subscription group very much, because you are the people who truly identify with me.
At the same time, I also want to say a few heartfelt words to the readers who read pirated versions (Datongmu Chenxiang is paying tribute to me).
If you really like my style, please be sure to come to Qidian to support me, because only with your support can I persist.
I understand the lack of financial resources and the desire to read for free, but as a reader, it is really not easy to find an author with compatible chemistry.
Moreover, supporting me actually doesn't cost money, because my book here on Qidian has chapter-comment activities every month; you can get rewards by writing a few witty comments while reading, and there are also ads to watch.
Some people might be too lazy to watch ads, but you can close your eyes and rest during the ad time like I do (the sponsors can't see me, they can't see me).
So, supporting an author you like on Qidian really doesn't cost money, brothers!
Don't "raise" the book, don't read pirated versions; it will really "raise" the author to death...
Besides, full subscription also allows you to enter the full-subscription group to see the indescribable chapters!
My style is basically set: pure-love harem novels, with plenty of Asura Field and emotional drama, lots of "cars," and a pursuit of both gratification and moving moments, so I won't leave you feeling empty or lonely.
If you like it, you must come to Qidian to support me, especially during the new book period of my next book—it's a matter of life and death!
Speaking of the next book, that brings us to the final part.
The new book is a Fire Shadow fanfiction; many readers already know this.
The title is "Love Grandmaster of Wood Leaf"!
Readers who haven't seen Fire Shadow shouldn't worry, because the core is emotional drama, Asura Field, and car after car!
As long as you can understand these, there will be no reading barriers.
The setting of this new book is similar to "Getting Stronger After Heartbreak" but also different; there will be no shortage of heroines: a childhood sweetheart is a must, a cold goddess is a must, a hot figure is a must, a domineering older sister is a must, and stunning, contrast-moe twins are a must.
These six heroines are already fully confirmed; everyone can try to guess who they all are.
There are a few more still under consideration...
A good work is one where all the characters are revolving for the beliefs in their own hearts.
I want to present such a Fire Shadow fanfiction.
I don't know how the results will be, and I am especially nervous.
Therefore, the support of every single one of you is extremely important!
During the new book period, follow-read! Follow-read! Follow-read!
This is the most, most important thing!
Finish reading the updates every day; this data determines the future of a book!
Please!
Here, I promise, if your follow-read data can send me to the Sanjiang list, then I will owe you 20 additional chapters!
This isn't an additional chapter based on two updates, but an additional chapter on top of three or more updates after the book goes live; you all know it's very hard for me to increase my Speed, so this is me risking my life.
Of course, after Sanjiang there will be the Great Wind Blows; if I can get on that, I'll owe another 20 chapters! I'm risking my life!
Begging for follow-reads!
It's only a month or so of the new book period!
So that you can still see the books I write in the future!
I leave it to you, gentlemen!
Also, if the follow-read situation for the next book is good, I will write a few more Soul Land side stories for everyone, like Gu Yuena's first time, the outcome for the main wife, and even something about a daughter...
I'm begging you!
Come to Qidian to pin and follow-read!
(There is a new book teleportation array in the author's note~)
