Chapter 58: Vice Hall Master Returns

At this moment, the Outer Sect Grand Elder's expression was extremely unsightly, his face turned dark.

Since Zhang Wu had no other way to contact the elders, his first reaction was to inform the Outer Sect Grand Elder of Qin Yu's message.

The Grand Elder was initially a bit dazed.

Damn, does the Law Enforcement Hall still have such daredevils?

They actually dared to arrest Qin Yu?

Even if Qin Yu overturned the heavens of the Profound Yang Sect, those so-called sect rules could not touch him.

Because... Qin Yu is now the sole closed-door disciple of the Yang Heaven Venerable.

Even if the Sect Leader came, he would have to address him as "uncle-master".

As long as the Profound Yang Sect isn't destroyed, no one can convict him of a crime.

The Grand Elder also pulled Qi Tai aside to inquire about the disciple-acceptance process, and the result left him stunned—Qin Yu had directly been taken as a disciple by the Old Ancestor.

He felt immensely relieved, glad he had not offended him back then.

Then... after he briefly understood the course of today's events,

he was instantly petrified on the spot.

These true transmission disciples, in order to subdue Qin Yu, actually used force, locking him in the Law Enforcement Hall, forcing him to confess and submit.

This tactic is utterly absurd.

Moreover, Qin Yu learned to refine the pill within a formal wager; there is no talk of him stealing the knowledge.

Furthermore, when the Grand Elder heard that Qin Yu had refined an upper-grade Yellow-rank Foundation Establishment Pill in the alchemy room, he nearly exploded.

On his first attempt at alchemy, the pill quality was perfect, the pill phenomenon excellent, and he even broke through a rank directly.

It exhibited the effect of allowing Foundation Establishment cultivators to break through their realm.

This is simply a once-in-a-millennium genius.

A fine seedling for dual cultivation of alchemy and martial arts.

Yet such a monster was actually wronged, imprisoned by force in the prison.

The Outer Sect Grand Elder now held a belly full of anger, about to explode.

Because Qin Yu had always been among the menial disciples, his treatment wasn't too good, and even now the Yang Heaven Old Ancestor had not yet given him treasures or resources.

In other words, Qin Yu now likely has no loyalty to the Profound Yang Sect at all.

Even when he needed pills, he chose to learn to refine them himself.

But these trash, they are trying to drive him away!

The Outer Sect Grand Elder is now furious beyond measure.

"Greetings, Outer Sect Grand Elder... this place is the Inner Sect Law Enforcement Hall."

"If you, Elder, rely on your own strength and cultivation to cause trouble, you will likely provoke the displeasure of the elders of my hall."

"I hope you will weigh things carefully."

At that moment, Steward Xi stepped forward slowly, speaking calmly with a hint of threat.

Because they belong to different systems, he feels no fear.

Furthermore, this time with Qi Yu's endorsement, the Law Enforcement Hall elders will personally intervene, making him even more confident.

He even believes that after this, his position in the Law Enforcement Hall will be more secure.

"You, you actually dare to threaten this old man?" The Outer Sect Grand Elder almost laughed in anger.

"In a sense, I am saving their lives."

"Reducing the offense to the minimum."

"But this person actually insists on making a big deal out of it?"

"Give you three breaths' time, release the person."

"Otherwise, today I will smash this Law Enforcement Hall to pieces."

"I will say this only once."

The Grand Elder's tone grew increasingly grave as he spoke.

His expression turned somewhat hostile.

Steward Xi, hands behind his back, spoke lightly: "Elder, you have overstepped."

"This child has already signed a confession."

"Then he should receive the corresponding punishment; otherwise, what use are the sect rules?"

Before his words finished, a fierce wind surged; the Grand Elder's right hand swung out, a sonic boom rang out, as if to tear the void.

"Peng!"

A dull thunderous roar, like thunder.

Steward Xi instantly turned into a lingering afterimage, was flung out, and slammed heavily onto the prison wall.

A burning pain on his face, five bright red fingerprints swollen his entire face.

"Whether he signs or not, you cannot determine his guilt."

"Furthermore, within the wager, what talk is there of stealing knowledge?"

"Utterly absurd!"

Qi Yu and the others were all dazed, including the Alchemy Room Steward Qiming who came to testify.

They never expected that this Outer Sect Grand Elder, within the Law Enforcement Hall, would be so dominant.

Previously, using force outside was already enough.

Yet now, inside the Law Enforcement Hall's prison, he still dares to strike.

This is a complete disregard of the sect rules.

Even a core elder wouldn't dare, would they?

Behind this Qin Yu, things seem not simple, ah.

At this moment, Qiming saw this scene, a faint unease rose in their heart—could they have backed the wrong side?

Impossible… Qiyu has the Eastern Origin Lineage behind them, a core elder holding the fort, and their master is even one of the three great elders of the Law Enforcement Hall.

In the entire Profound Yang Sect, who could go head-to-head with them?

Even Li Xuan couldn't do it.

The sect master's only disciple, Senior Sister Lin Xue, was never here.

Qiming comforted themselves, thinking it was fine.

Just then, outside the prison, an aged figure in green robes appeared, speaking calmly.

"Junior Brother, what a bold move—you dared to act in the Law Enforcement Hall's prison."

"Have you ever considered the consequences?"

"For an inner sect disciple, is it worth it?"

"Now, surrender, and Senior Brother can deal with you leniently."

"Otherwise… once the Vice Hall Master returns, your position won't be secure."

"You might even suffer physical pain."

Qiyu saw their master arrive, hurried forward, and spoke.

"Master! The Outer Sect Elder trespassed the Law Enforcement Hall's prison, even committed violence! They intend to seize people!"

The green-robed old man heard this, slightly nodded, light flashing in their eyes, the corner of their mouth curling into a faint smile.

They had only recently been promoted to the position of Law Enforcement Hall Elder a few years ago.

Their position was already unstable.

Many of the inner sect elders were eyeing them.

Unexpectedly, this Outer Sect Elder came of their own accord, delivering merit to them.

Enough to kill a chicken to scare the monkeys.

The Outer Sect Elder sensed a familiar aura outside the prison.

This is the Vice Hall Master returning.

He didn't even speak; he merely came to protect Qin Yu from mortal danger.

What comes next basically has nothing to do with him.

Beside them, Steward Xi slowly rose to their feet, enduring the pain, a vengeful glare appearing in their eyes.

"Grand Elder, what imposing authority."

"Now I want to see if you can, for this Foundation Establishment First Layer disciple, withstand the entire Profound Yang Sect."

"Hehe."

Just then, an angry voice rang out outside the prison.

"What gall!"

At this moment, the Vice Hall Master strode in with tiger-like vigor, hurriedly stepping into the prison.

Upon seeing this scene before them, they were about to explode with anger.

Qin Yu……was captured.

They were also forced to sign a confession.

After receiving the Grand Elder's summons, he felt somewhat panicked.

Those under him are nothing but idiots.

Back then, why did I promote such a brain‑dead person to Law Enforcement Hall Elder?

Isn't this just digging a pit for myself?

"Hall Master, I request to take action—first seize the Outer Sect Elder!"

"Disregarding the dignity of the Law Enforcement Hall, imprison them for a hundred years, to serve as a warning!"

The green‑robed old man hurriedly jumped out, seeking to curry favor with the Vice Hall Master, and directly challenged them to a fight.

The Vice Hall Master walked up to his side, red light flashing in their eyes, gritting their teeth as they spoke.

"I, your humble self, am about to be killed by you."

"You actually still request to take action?"

Immediately, they swung their right hand in a fierce slap, Dao Essence bursting forth, lashing out violently.

"Peng!"

Another crisp sound rang out; the green‑robed old man, like a dead dog, slammed into the prison wall, spitting out a mouthful of essence blood.

Qiyu and the others were all dumbfounded at this moment.

What……is going on?

Vice Hall Master, why would they act against a Law Enforcement Hall elder?
