Chapter 323

"Mr. Ghost? What a strange form of address..."

Bai Ge looked at Wendy, who had fallen into a deep sleep, and recalled the information about her in his mind.

Ever since he first made contact with this Herrscher of Wind from the original plot half a month ago, he had been spending his days and nights in the student archives of St. Freya Academy, digging through her files.

A rare genius since the founding of St. Freya, a future S-rank Valkyrie, a girl as free as the wind, etc. —Wendy had many such titles back then.

What she was best at was the dual-pistol gun-kata like Kiana's, but unlike the Kaslana gun-kata where the latter would happily kick and punch and fire a shot to help the mood,

Wendy's gun-kata was like a dance, like a storm; she was best at dancing on the blade's edge of Emperor-class Honkai beasts and firing at close range with bullets.

(It's just a pity that such an interesting fighting style can no longer be seen. It's rare to have such a pair of beautiful legs, yet they are paralyzed and unable to move because of the Herrscher core. A waste, it's truly too much of a waste.)

Bai Ge sighed, feeling regret for the girl's tarnished potential.

His instinct was urging him to quickly remove the core for this girl; as long as the Herrscher of Wind core was gone, then with the authority of the Herrscher of Sentience, he could instantly heal Wendy.

But his own reason, as well as Wendy's will, made Bai Ge unable to do so.

(Now is not the most perfect time to save her. Rather than me intervening to save her now, it's better to wait for Wendy to go berserk herself and destroy this branch, and then I'll take action to hijack her and the gem together. If things go smoothly, I can even frame the World Serpent.)

If things go according to the original fate, Wendy, after becoming a Herrscher, can wipe out this entire Dayangzhou Branch.

At that time, Bai Ge will appear disguised as Gray Serpent to hijack this girl and deliberately leave behind some traces of the World Serpent.

This could mislead Schicksal while causing some trouble for the World Serpent, weakening both sides with one stone and giving St. Freya Academy more time to develop.

And not giving up the core is also Wendy's own will.

Although she was tricked, she truly had the resolve to sacrifice her life to fight for the protection of humanity.

However, this is also the perfect script in his imagination.

And sometimes, perfection is not that important.

At least in Bai Ge's impulsive view, nothing is more important than quickly ending the girl's pain.

"... Looks like I have to prepare a backup plan."

Bai Ge thought to himself.

Although the thoughts of reason and impulse are completely different, the former still has the upper hand in his brain, but Bai Ge has more confidence in the latter; who told him he was an emotional person to begin with?

And...

"One, two, but not three. Liu Bei visited the thatched cottage three times and finally invited Zhuge Liang; this time, I will definitely bring you back."

Unlike the previous two visits where he only met her at night and left before morning, this time Bai Ge intends to stay with Wendy for a whole day as a guardian spirit that no one can see.

He believes that if he continues to watch over her.

He 'definitely won't be able to hold back'!

……………………

The next day, Dayangzhou Branch.

"I haven't slept this comfortably in a long time."

Wendy, waking up from her dream, stretched her limbs.

Although the girl's arms were already slender and beautiful enough, the pair of legs on her body that were the most perfect were still paralyzed and unable to move, making one feel regret.

"It's really thanks to Mr. Ghost."

Wendy said to herself.

Unlike waking up in pain in the past, this time she slept until she woke up naturally, and she even had a rare beautiful dream last night. In the dream, Wendy found that she had lost the Gem of Desire and returned to her time at St. Freya Academy.

Bai Ge isolated her pain, allowing her to relive that happiest student period in her dream.
