Chapter 315: Let's Get Married

Cai Xiaotang was so startled by this cry that she instantly broke out in goosebumps, and she immediately lifted her eyes to look toward the depths of the alley.

Upon hearing this, Li Xiao's expression also turned stern in a flash, and he immediately prepared to walk into the alley.

But he had only taken one step when he heard the person inside shout: "Shura! Run!"

Cai Xiaotang was stunned for a moment, and the next second she began to struggle desperately: "Let go! Why should I go with you!"

No sooner had she finished speaking than she saw a group of people who had been beside Li Xiao rush out from the alley together.

The sound of the motorcycles was now right in her ears, as if they were about to arrive.

"Shura, just go! Their people should be here any second. Climb out from here; our car is parked outside!"

A man said this while anxiously turning to look behind him, then added bitterly: "We shouldn't have wasted so much breath on that traitor earlier! It was him who betrayed our location!"

Upon hearing this, Li Xiao's face sank instantly, and a trace of gloom flashed across his eyes.

Listening to their conversation, Cai Xiaotang became increasingly certain that the people before her were no ordinary gangsters.

The next second, she saw some people dressed completely differently turn and walk out of the alley.

They looked like another group not to be trifled with.

This bastard Li Xiao actually dared to ambush her!

When Cai Xiaotang woke up again, she found herself lying on a large bed.

A bright crystal chandelier on the ceiling emitted a blinding light, causing her to pull the quilt up to block the glare the moment she opened her eyes.

Then, her whole body stiffened.

"Where is this?"

Cai Xiaotang sat up abruptly, scanning the surrounding environment with lingering fear; the memories in her mind were still stuck on that scene in the alley.

Seeing that she seemed to be in a high-end hotel suite, she became even more flustered and hurriedly looked down to check her clothes; seeing that they were all intact, she let out a heavy sigh of relief.

The next second, she heard a "click" from the bathroom not far away.

Cai Xiaotang instantly widened her eyes in vigilance, staring fixedly in that direction.

Sure enough, she saw Li Xiao walking out from inside.

"Oh? You're awake?"

Li Xiao raised an eyebrow; seeing Cai Xiaotang sitting blankly on the bed, he didn't seem very surprised.

Cai Xiaotang nodded instinctively, and catching sight of her phone lying by the pillow, she hurriedly grabbed it.

She glanced at it subconsciously and realized it was already three in the morning.

"You brought me here?" Cai Xiaotang asked, clutching her phone tightly.

Li Xiao nodded indifferently and sat down on a sofa nearby.

Cai Xiaotang also sized up the person before her, her mind still a bit of a mess.

Finally unable to stand the silence, she simply asked directly: "What exactly happened tonight? You guys..."

"Don't ask too much." Li Xiao interrupted her before Cai Xiaotang could finish.

He then added in a low voice: "Knowing too much is no good for you."

Cai Xiaotang was stunned upon hearing this, and couldn't help but let out a disdainful snort.

What did he mean by "knowing too much is no good for her"...

Did he think he was acting in some strange movie?

Cai Xiaotang muttered to herself, but she obediently didn't ask any more questions. Suddenly, she thought of something and asked indignantly: "Why did you hit me in the alley earlier?"

"It would have been troublesome if I hadn't knocked you out."

Li Xiao answered quickly, his face full of composure, without a hint of guilt.

Upon hearing this, Cai Xiaotang felt her anger flare up, and she retorted unhappily: "You were the one holding onto me and wouldn't let go, and now you're making it sound like I'm the one causing you trouble? Why is it that nothing good ever happens whenever I run into you! I'm begging you..."

"Let's get married."

She asked back subconsciously, even doubting if she hadn't woken up yet and was currently dreaming.

A trace of playful amusement surfaced on Li Xiao's face once again.

Then, without haste, he repeated his words from just a moment ago.

With a smile, he said, "I said, let's get married."

"What kind of joke is that!"
