Chapter 248: Tell You the Answer
"Young Master, I hope this inference is not true." The secretary said with difficulty.
"I think I can tell you the answer." Kuchiki Senya smiled contemptuously. "Zelke has been completely swallowed by hatred."
"Young Master, please be sure not to investigate any further. If we are exposed, we might not be able to leave." The secretary said. "Moreover, you are the leader of this country; do not ruin the entire country because of a private grudge."
"I know, but do you know why I chose this place as a stronghold?"
"I don't know, and I can't figure it out." The secretary shook his head.
"Because..." he hesitated. "Because the defensive fortifications here are relatively weak. If there is an enemy raid, we won't be caught off guard."
"That’s right, but if we cannot quickly resolve this hidden danger, we may suffer a devastating disaster. This madman Zelke is a crazy person who spares no cost; he will do anything for it, and we cannot afford such a price."
Since Zelke dared to fall out with Atlantis, he must have been prepared for both sides to suffer and perish together.
"Then..."
The secretary’s brows furrowed.
Their master was not just Kuchiki Senya.
"First, send someone to test Zelke’s stance and see if he is willing to cooperate with us." Kuchiki Senya said faintly. "However, I estimate that this situation is impossible. Nowadays, he must be wishing I were dead without a burial place; even if I stood in front of him, he might not even bother to greet me."
The secretary was silent for a moment before saying, "Young Master, are we really going to take such a risk?"
"Risk or not, there is no other way. I have to find a safer place to stay." Kuchiki Senya said. "However, this secret base is indeed an excellent place. If there are enough abundant resources, we can cultivate even better warriors."
Speaking of this, he paused, his gaze sweeping toward the distant sky. "And the biggest flaw of this place is that the terrain is not flat enough. I think Zelke should have considered this problem, otherwise he wouldn't have established the headquarters here."
Zelke was a shrewd businessman; although he liked money, he was not a reckless fool. He had long anticipated that once he left the secret base, he would be in a difficult situation.
Therefore, he chose to build a cellar in the secret base to store some supplies.
"Young Master, then... if you encounter danger, what should we do?" The secretary said.
This was a very tricky problem; after all, they did not have many weapons.
Kuchiki Senya was a master of ninjutsu but was not good at firearms, so the secretary had always been worried that he could not protect Zelke well.
"Don't worry, I will be fine." Kuchiki Senya waved his hand, then said, "You go find an off-road vehicle now, and then take me to the city to wander around. I’ve been stifled on this deserted island for these past few days."
A look of hesitation appeared on the secretary’s expression. "Young Master, I think this is somewhat inappropriate."
"What is inappropriate?"
"Our current position is too close to the city. If Zelke has set up any ambush nearby, wouldn't we be in great danger?" The secretary said.
"Even if Zelke has filled this place with traps, it doesn't matter."
"Young Master, you only brought two bodyguards to this isolated island, while Zelke has three hundred men in his hands, and they are the elite of the elite." The secretary reminded him.
"Do you have any other suggestions?" Kuchiki Senya’s eyes narrowed, his gaze becoming sharp instantly.
He seemed not to have been angry for a long time, but this secretary clearly forgot that this young master had been a ruthless person since childhood; he did not need to care about any underworld morality.
The secretary was so frightened that he shrank his neck. He knew that Zelke’s death was not far off, and Zelke’s death was destined to rewrite the history of the Zelke family.
"Young Master, please wait a moment." After the secretary said this, he retreated. Not long after he left the office, he heard intense gunfire coming from outside!
"Oh no!" The secretary screamed, and he immediately rushed into the room!
However, at this moment, Kuchiki Senya was already standing at the edge of the window, his head lowered, his arms resting on the windowsill.
Through the glass curtain wall, one could clearly see a cruise ship slowly sailing in from the fiery red sea below.
"Zelke is here?" Kuchiki Senya said faintly, his tone without the slightest emotional fluctuation.
"Yes, Young Master, they are about to land on the island." The secretary clenched his fists nervously.
On that yacht, there were also several heavy machine guns. Once discovered, I am afraid the entire secret base would become a meat grinder!
"My patience is not that good." Kuchiki Senya’s finger hooked onto the trigger, his index finger pressing slightly, and with a click, the magazine cover was pulled open!
A row of bullets sprayed out from the chamber! They flew toward the cruise ship below!
Bang, bang, bang!
That wide river channel was bombed by these bullets, creating several large craters, with water splashing everywhere!
The secretary looked at this scene and gasped. He finally understood why his young master had suddenly become so bloodthirsty a year ago—it turned out that this was using blood to wash away past humiliation and pain!
Zelke’s fleet was, after all, a beat slow.
After the explosion ended, they had just barely arrived at the shore.
Of course, seeing the bullet holes all around, they already knew that the enemy’s attack power was incredibly formidable!
There was even an airplane propeller still burning!
"These bastards, they are really bullying us too much!"
Zelke’s face was livid!
He had intended to sneak away during the night, but he did not expect the other side to launch a fierce attack first!
These people were determined to put him to death!
"Boss, why don't we retreat?" another subordinate said. "I feel something extremely ominous."
"Retreat? Why should I retreat? We are a mercenary organization; are we afraid of this mob?" Zelke sneered.
In fact, strictly speaking, the rules of the Eastern organization prohibited mutual attacks between mercenary groups, but this did not mean they could not take any form of retaliation! Especially people like Zelke!
As long as they could make money, they didn't mind taking risks!
"But we have already suffered heavy losses; it is better to avoid the sharp edge and wait for reinforcements."
After Zelke heard this, he laughed heartily. After laughing, his expression suddenly turned gloomy, and he stared at the adjutant under his command: "My dear assistant, if it weren't for you proposing this stupid idea, how would I have been trapped in this godforsaken place?"
