Chapter 54: Hidden Ability of the Genius Class, Accumulation of Caster Levels

Only!

Tang Zheng remembered that when he saw that "Papermaking" had two different magic scrolls, he had specifically asked the member of the Mage Guild.

As a result, the other party didn't mention "Second Rank Papermaking" at all!

Logically speaking, there should be no need to hide such "Papermaking" that has no offensive nature and cannot be applied to combat.

"'Lowest' Alchemy material."

Tang Zheng looked at the last sentence of the identification information, lost in thought.

Researching life magic is nothing more than to analyze higher-level magic or to increase the convenience of life.

If "0 Rank Papermaking" is just used for life aspects, then "First Rank Papermaking" is specifically provided for nobles to distinguish themselves from commoners.

Or to use better paper to make books for writing, etc.

Actually, the level of paper produced by "First Rank Papermaking" is already about the same as in his previous life; reaching this level is already enough to satisfy normal daily and life needs.

People in the Other World actually developed "Second Rank Papermaking"; thinking about it carefully, there is no need for it at all.

"Papermaking" is not a rank magic passed down from the era of the Eight Greed Kings, but developed independently by people in the Other World, hard-forcing this life magic to the Second Rank.

The time and energy consumed by people in the Other World must be unimaginable.

From the perspective of a caster, having this energy, one could completely learn other Second Rank magic spells, or even impact the level of a Third Rank caster.

From the pragmatic perspective of humans in the Other World, there is also no need for this.

Then, the appearance of such a result can only mean there is a "demand"!

Alchemy material?

Tang Zheng thought about it carefully and found no clue, shook his head lightly, and chose to put it behind his mind for now.

Suddenly.

Tang Zheng seemed to have discovered something abnormal, and a look of surprise appeared on his face.

I saw that behind the two magic spells "Heating" and "Papermaking," there was actually an "↑" symbol.

"How is this possible?" Tang Zheng looked as if he had seen something incredible, his face full of astonishment.

1-7 levels — First Rank magic!

8-14 levels — Second Rank magic!

According to the level of "Genius" 9lv, converted into other caster classes, it should only be able to use Second Rank magic.

"Heating" and "Papermaking" can actually be upgraded in rank; what is the situation?

Tang Zheng's eyes were filled with thick confusion; after hesitating for a short while, he chose to consume skill points for the magic "Heating."

Skill: Heating (Third Rank) ↑

Cost: 15mp

Introduction: Heats the contacted object to 600c within 1 minute, instantly heating to 200c.

Tang Zheng was still stunned.

It wasn't the surprise that the "Heating" magic showed more powerful effects after being upgraded again, but that it could actually be upgraded in rank.

Consumed 1 more skill point.

Skill: Heating (Fourth Rank)

Cost: 20mp

Introduction: Heats the contacted object to 1200c within 1 minute, instantly heating to 400c.

Hiss~

Tang Zheng took a cold breath; "Heating" at the Fourth Rank was already somewhat terrifying. A high temperature of 1200 degrees is enough to easily melt steel, and it is even close to the temperature of magma!

Not to mention, being able to instantly increase the temperature by 400 degrees is already quite astonishing destructive power!

This time there was no "↑" symbol; seeing this scene, Tang Zheng roughly figured out what was going on while thinking.

"Can the caster classes converted by 'Genius' actually be calculated according to the comprehensive caster level?" Tang Zheng couldn't help but mutter to himself in surprise.

He had originally thought that "Genius" could only be calculated according to one basic class, but the situation before him was clearly not!

The reason why the magic "Heating" was upgraded to the Fourth Rank in one breath was naturally because it met the requirements for Fourth Rank magic (22-28 levels).

The only possibility for this situation is among the magic-series classes that "Genius" can convert to.

"Mage 9lv," "Alchemist 9lv," "Pharmacist 9lv," the sum of these three magic-series classes.

A total of 27 levels of caster level!

Although the positioning of Alchemist and Pharmacist in "Yggdrasil" is a production class, they are cast through magic power, so they are counted as magic-series.

That's right!

The "Genius" class can actually calculate the recorded basic classes, especially caster classes, according to the comprehensive level.

Such a hidden ability has no meaning for warrior-type basic classes, but for caster classes, it is simply an existence like cheating!

In the "Yggdrasil" game, magic casters are divided into four systems, and different systems are calculated separately!

For example.

=9+Shu_ba

Mage 7lv + Priest 1lv = Comprehensive Level 8lv

These two classes, one is magic-series and one is faith-series; according to caster level, level 8 can use Second Rank magic.

But in reality, if it is such a class structure, the player can only use the First Rank magic of the magic-series and the First Rank magic of the faith-series.

Therefore!

Players in "Yggdrasil" will only specialize in one caster system.

To cast Tenth Rank magic of a certain system, one can only choose one system from the four caster systems of magic-series, faith-series, spirit-series, and other systems, and raise the caster level to at least level 64.

And the remaining 36 levels are no longer enough to construct another caster system.

"Hu~"

Tang Zheng exhaled deeply and reached out to rub his temples, which were somewhat swollen from the excitement just now.

He had originally thought that the "Genius" class only converted basic classes and had no attribute bonuses or abilities possessed by the converted class.

It was equivalent to wearing an empty shell of a basic class for disguise.

He didn't expect that there would be such a hidden ability!

"Genius" is a general class, belonging to a type of basic class, and the maximum level can reach 15.

Therefore!

Just master five basic classes in a certain caster system, or four basic classes plus one mid-rank class.

One can easily meet the requirements for "Tenth Rank Magic" of the caster system.

In other words, Tang Zheng can completely use this tricky way to fill up the caster levels of the four systems: magic-series, faith-series, spirit-series, and other systems.

This is why Tang Zheng called this ability simply like cheating in his heart.

Even in the "Yggdrasil" game, such an ability is a quite rare situation!

That's right, it's "rare," not non-existent!

In the light novel version, Ainz once mentioned that the "Special Class" that Illusionists can eventually take has the strongest illusion exclusive to this class.

It is said that one can cast illusions on the entire world, thereby reaching the degree of deceiving the world and making it look like the real thing!

The performance in the game is being able to disguise the magic-series one has constructed as the other three caster systems.
